Steaks and beer off a dusty road…read more What a surprise to eat this well in tiny, quiet, Tecopa. The menu is small but thoughtful with great cuts of meat, a few appetizers, soup, salad, pasta, beer, and wine. After a long day of hiking, a glass of wine was exactly what we needed. We started with a luxuriously creamy, well-seasoned potato soup and an orchard salad bursting with blueberries, apples, strawberries, pomegranate seeds, cheese, and a bright balsamic vinaigrette. Then we split a juicy filet mignon, the kind where your knife simply glides through. Even the veggie medley and mashed potatoes were perfection. And whatever you do, don't skip dessert. The warm date bread with vanilla ice cream and date syrup is one of the best desserts I've ever had. A couple notes: look for the neon lights out front because it's incredibly dark and easy to miss the turn. The dining room is romantic but tiny, maybe five tables, so call ahead for a reservation. An immense thank you to the chef and owner for creating such a memorable meal in the middle of nowhere. Unexpected and oh so delicious.

I came to Mohave Steakhouse expecting a solid steak... and instead got dinner and a full-blown…read moretheatrical experience courtesy of the legendary bartender, Pam Pam. First off, the steak? Fantastic. Cooked like it had something to prove. Juicy, flavorful, and honestly the kind of steak that makes you pause mid-bite and reconsider your life choices up to that point. But let's be honest--Pam Pam stole the show. Pam Pam doesn't just bartend... she commands the bar. Drinks don't get made, they get orchestrated. I'm pretty sure she made my cocktail with one hand, took three orders, solved a minor dispute, and still had time to roast me for not knowing what I wanted. Efficient? Yes. Intimidating? Slightly. Entertaining? Absolutely. At one point I'm convinced she knew what I was going to order before I did. I asked for a recommendation and she looked at me like, "You strike me as someone who thinks they want whiskey but really needs a margarita." She was right. I didn't question it. The vibe? Somewhere between a high-end steakhouse and a family party where the funniest relative is in charge. You're not just a customer--you're part of the show whether you planned on it or not. Final verdict: Steak: Drinks: Pam Pam: deserves her own TV series Would I come back? Without hesitation. Would I sit at the bar again? Only if I'm emotionally prepared. 10/10--come for the steak, stay because Pam Pam won't let you leave without laughing at least once.

We were taken care of by Kim and Cierra, and although I didn't catch his name, there was also an African American gentleman with clear glasses who was equally attentive and kind. They all gave great recommendations and made the experience even better. This is one of my favorite places; I come specifically for the crab cakes and the filet mignon. My husband had the ribeye with jumbo shrimp, and we also ordered the crab rice. Everything was absolutely amazing. Cierra even took photos for us when I asked, which made our date night feel extra special. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot. It is perfect for date night, and I love that I can enjoy this level of quality without having to go all the way to the Strip.

The amount of effort that is put into the customer having a great experience is phenomenal. I have to say the oysters are the best in town without a doubt. My ribeye could be cut with a spoon. The Mac & Cheese was a perfect consistency and the flavor was out of this world. I would recommend the ribeye or the miso cod. The drinks are reasonably priced and were excellent. The staff went above and beyond with making sure that our experience was everything. For a local this was a great Friday night and as a tourist this would've been the highlight of my stay! I will definitely be coming back.

It's cozy and welcoming. I sat at the bar for my meal, and I was very well taken care of. I kept my drink simple with an Eagle Rare old-fashioned, done right. Their bourbon lineup is nice enough to get excited over something. The Cowboy Salad was a light start, with a vinaigrette that soaked into all the ingredients, adding just the right touch. Earthy bites that sat well with me. The biscuits and butter were okay. They are denser and heavier than I'd prefer. Their filet, which comes as a barrel cut portion, was everything and more. Good-quality Texas beef is 2nd only to Alberta beef in North America, and if you care about these things, you'll enjoy the meat here. Tender as it should be. They give you a few butters and sauces, but don't do the beef a disservice by using any of them. Onion rings were good, with zero sogginess or limpness after frying. I loved this place. Although it is a pop-up, I hope they keep it around a little longer so beef enthusiasts can enjoy what they have to offer.
