Great staff and hotel. I believe there was 4 stories so not too big not too small. Free parking. The staff let us check in a little early since it wasn't crowded. There was a lot of different options for breakfast. We went to the laundry Room every other night and it was never crowded. There was alot of restaurants, stores, and some places to take the kids. The Staybridge Suites in Midvale was better than expected. A few of my colleagues and I flew into SLC to have a business meeting in Midvale, and this was were we booked our rooms. The ladies at the counter was super friendly and a pleasure to deal with during check in. The room was clean, had a full kitchen, and provided a nice comfortable stay. They offered a complimentary dinner that we were too busy to attend, but their included continental breakfast was better than most. Their location is actually close to many places where you can grab a quick bite, and the selection is quite diverse. They listed quite a few amenities, but since we were there for a single night, we didn't use them. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was very close to our family, which was our main reason for visiting the state. The room was immaculate and had a kitchenette. The fridge was huge, the bed was amazingly soft and breakfast was included the next day. There was hot (BACON!) and cold items in the buffet, coffee, breaded items, fruit and a multitude of juices. There was even complimentary popcorn in our room! It was a nice snack after a long day of travel. It is centrally located to most of Salt Lake and surrounding areas and is very close to the freeway. For the price? It was great. Will stay again if ever the opportunity arises. read more

Asked for a late check out since they couldn't get my room ready till 6 PM when I was checking in and they gave me a half an hour. I just needed one hour and they would not do it. Threatened to call the police at 11:33 because I hadn't walked out (3 mins late). Asked home to hold the door so I could get all my bags out at once, he said, "no, get out, get out now." It was a Guy with a shaved eyebrow that had lots of red dye in his facial hair. Elevator beeped for two days..."failure warning." Had to get a new key every other time, regardless of where I stored it. There were some nice people but mostly mad and unhappy workers. There was also a guy in the parking lot cooking food out of his car...scary. read more

My partner and I have stayed here four times over the past six years and we always love it. Special shout out to Abby (sp?) who worked the front desk on Thursday 8/11 in the afternoon. We showed up exhausted from a long road trip. We were early and ready to pass out. Unfortunately, there were no rooms ready for early check in (busy time). Abby was very kind in letting me know and then managed to move somethings around and get us in a room by 1:30PM a full 90 min. earlier than we were told which led to a longer nap that was incredibly helpful. Thank you, Abby! You didn't have to do that and it was incredibly kind and makes us love this place even more. read more

Horrible. They charged me $141 over the price I was given online. I paid $340 for one night in a standard room. They have no cameras in the parking area so your things aren't safe. Room was pretty gross and not clean. Waste of money, don't stay here. There are several other options. read more

I've been wanting to write this review for a whole week now. Staybridge Suites in Midvale really made babe and I's 3 day trip in Utah feel like we were home away from home! Everyone there was so friendly and helpful and just made you feel welcomed. The reviews don't lie, Mon-Wed night is social hour with food and drinks. They have complimentary breakfast in the morning. Heated pool and jacuzzi. Little gym to get your workout on. This place exceeded our expectations! The location is perfectly set in between Draper and Salt Lake City and has a bunch of food selections nearby. If you're looking for a place to stay in the area they definitely won't disappoint! Wishing we could've stayed longer. If you ever need a hotel to stay at and can't decide, I wouldn't hesitate it book their rooms! 5 stars for sure! read more

One of the nicest, cleanest, friendliest hotels I have stayed in. The associate at the desk, Issac, treated us like family and made our whole party happy, from the youngest to the oldest. It has a great pool and is located right in the middle of about 10 restaurants of every type. We will certainly search out more Staybridge locations in the future based on this experience. read more

Why does this place have a good rating? The outside looks pleasing but the inside is old needs to be cleaned and upgraded. My shower head fell off when I touched it. There was lime green tape surrounding the electrical outlet. The furniture was worn. I could hear the guest next door talking until 1:30. This place is not recommended. read more

The property was dirty and falling a part. There is no key reader or even a handle on the door between the pool and the parking lot. (Anyone could come or go without a key.) The pool was dirty with globs of hair, leaves, and who knows what else. The comforter was stained. Shower water took 13 minutes to get warm, never got hot. Lighting above sink flickered. Only 1 out of the 3 grills in the pool area work. A man and woman came into the pool acting normal, then went into the pool bathrooms and came out strung out on drugs. They were bad enough that if they fell in the water they most likely would've drowned. I was so uncomfortable with having my kids around that, I called the police. They talked to both of them and agreed that they were high as a kite, but it was public property, so nothing could be done. FYI-The hotel does not have a manager on site. They told me the GM was let go recently for embezzlement. I was also informed that the girl on drugs was kicked out 1-2 weeks prior for sex trafficking!! Another woman was strung out and walking around the parking lot next to guests cars, then either putting or taking something out of a bush near the pool. This hotel is more like a hourly rental instead of nightly in my opinion. It's sad because my husband and I used to love staying here, but we will not be back. A couple women at the pool who live there informed me that it hasn't been a "safe" hotel since about 6 months ago. Pros: The location is great. Staff is friendly enough. The Cons definitely overpowered the Pros. read more

What a nice hotel! We got one of those super roomy suites with a kitchen and a living room and a nice 4th floor view. Wish we could have stayed longer and taken advantage of the full sized refrigerator. (We did enjoy some beers in the pint glasses though). I spent a week here while traveling for work. I always had enjoyed Staybridge Suites, and this was no exception! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were hearty every morning, and the Monday-Wednesday dinners were great! The location is nice and so it the property, however we felt that the cleaning service was seriously lacking. We were there for 5 days and they only replaced our towels once. Even when we put them on the floor to get new ones, they just took the dirty towels and did not give us new ones. We also had to ask for more toilet paper and coffee as they didn't replace any of those items when they were out either. Even when we went to the hot tub, there was only two towels left in the giant bin of fresh towels. Nice place but housekeeping needs some work. read more

Hi there! I very rarely write reviews but I needed to respond to the review given by Mike B. I am a guest at Staybridge Suites in Midvale. My family and I have been here for a few months. First off - I can say with 100% certainty that I have NEVER in all the time we've been here been treated poorly. The staff has been nothing short of amazing. They go out of their way to make their guests feel not just taken care of - but truly cared about. My family and I have been on a year's adventure traveling across the country. The majority of our time has been living (and loving) the van life but because of some medical issues we have had the need to stop in stay in a number of hotels across the country and this particular Staybridge Suites has been like home for us. The rooms are comfy - the amenities are great - the breakfast is sooo yummy. TBH - part of the reason we can't leave is that I've grown a small addiction to their biscuits and gravy. :-) NOW...all that being said - I was actually in the lobby during this interaction and Mike is 100% correct. It was horrible. It.was.horrible. Mike wasn't treated the way he (or any guest ) should ever be treated. The front desk clerk was aggressive and disrespectful and Mike has every right to be upset. I was upset! I get it. BUT - this employee's name is not Bob Childers. Bob is the front desk manager and he is fantastic! You don't need to take it from me, read other reviews and you'll see that the hotel and Bob in particular get rave reviews. This situation was a terrible one-off. Furthermore, Bob Childers wasn't even on duty during this interaction. The front desk clerk (who is a new part-time employee) continued his unprofessional behavior by claiming to be Bob. I believe that Mike has been in contact with the GM and has since been taken care of. Hopefully he'll leave an updated review. I'm sure the employee that Mike encountered will also be properly handled. read more

A great place to stay if you are in Salt Lake city. This property is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It looks fairly new and has the look of a high-end property with mid-tier pricing ($150ish). The room we had was very spacious and everything was decorated with class and style. It came with a beautiful kitchen and probably would be an ideal place for an extended stay. Service was excellent and would've like to try the pool but ran out of time. Overall, this is an excellent lodging option if you are in the SLC area. My only complaint is there was no sausage in the breakfast area! MUST INCLUDE SAUSAGE PLEASE! read more

The rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was wonderful with many options, pool and hot tub were very nice along with the fireplace outside there too. Staff was friendly and helpful too! I recently stayed here while attending/coordinating a conference at Utah State University. John Nye (Director of Sales) and the entire hotel staff here are top notch! They went the extra mile to ensure that all of the guests in our group were treated very well. The front desk manager, Laina, and her team always had a smile on their face, and they were willing to print copies of last minute documents when needed. They even reserved a space for our group in their food service area so we could sit together during one of the complimentary evening meals. If you are considering bringing a group to the Midvale/Salt Lake City area, I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, breakfast is included and most importantly, the staff is very professional. I have planned events all around the country, and finding a staff this accommodating is a real gem. They deserve the 5 Star rating out here! read more

I travel for work constantly and have high status at Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton. Decided to break away from the normal and give IHG/Staybridge a spin. The options for rooms available were: king Studio, 2 queen studio suite, or for $10 more standard room. The standard room description showed pictures of a 1 bedroom king suite.....makes sense that it would be more. Upon arrival I was told that I had booked a 2 queen studio suite and that there were no kings available and definitely no 1 bedroom suites available. So I paid extra and did not get what they have pictured in their description or even a king. I could have booked a studio for less $$. My room has a wierd smell, and all in all isn't very clean or well maintained. Going to probably stick with Hyatt, Marriott, or Hilton from now on. read more

My wife and I, 2 dogs, and a cat stayed here for about 2 months while we were moving from out of state. The staff was extremely helpful and really made us feel welcome. The breakfast included lots of options, which is important when you're staying for months. The dinners 3 nights a week were a very nice alternative to dining out, and who doesn't like free wine and beer. This is a newer property, less than a year I think, and is still in very good condition. The public areas were very well maintained as well. i would recommend this property to anyone staying short or long term. There is a significant discount for long term stays. read more

Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. My only complaint was the set up of the breakfast. It made no sense at all. I understand covid times but the one way only was a pain. The only garbage was set up so you had to go passed everyone in the waffle line, which was set up right next to the exit to go out side and the exit of the one way only through the bfast area. Butter was back on the buffet so had to go back through to get butter for my waffles. The muffins were not restocked when empty, had to ask to get more coffee and person doing the breakfast was only seen one time. If they worked out the issues with breakfast, it would be great! read more

So What is this hotel like? Take my advice and pass on this hotel. I am a spire member if IHG so I have stayed 1000's of nights in hotels the last 40 years. Never in my life have i been treated so combatively by a front desk employee. Mr. Clilders I am so glsd you do not work fo my company, we would go out of business. He 3 times checked me and my guests into the wrong roomes resulting in having to move and the last people checking in getting a room that 2 other beople had sat on beds and used bathrooms. One room has no lights in the kitchen or bathroom. He would not move us to another room. He said wait and talk to housekeeping in the morning. i reminded him its dark at night and we leave in the morning. He did noithing and said just add it to your complaint., I had 3 rooms reserves for family and friends, with each room type based on how many kids in each room. I stoped by in the morning and spoke to a friendly helpful woman who put additional names on of guest on the rooms. I tried to explain I had already done check in to the two arriving guests room and paid their deposit. he snapps and said you did not!! i said yes I did. Then he goes ape shi? and raises his voice so I raise my. Then I get a 5 minute lecture on how he is not my servand and i can not ever psay a deposit on other rooms.....this when on for a long time. i asked hi to stop talking lomg enough for me to explain. Other guests came up and said they had been here for weeks and he was the biggest jerk--They used much more colorfull. Another employee also ap-poogidsed for him and said he was crazy. He will not under any circumstanses give me a managers name and number. My other guest is affraid to call mim to ask for bedding for the sofa sleeper. So avoid this hotel unless you want everyone on edge, showers in the dark, and sleeping on sofa beds with no bedding. Oh yes, and you must love to literally be yelled at and talked down to0. Again, so glad you work here and not for me. On a side note, the hotel is located by some good places to eat with easy freeway access. The beds and sofas are hard and unfomfortable. The kitchens are nice unless you get a room with no lights and a jerk desk supervisor who wont even move you to a new room. ( they had 5 available rooms of the same type several other rooms per IHG's own website and confirmed by IHG reservation center) Thanks for nothing Bob! read more

This hotel really impressed me. All the employees were nice and very helpful. The rooms are modern and super clean. 3 nights a week they serve free food with beer and wine. Perfect place for a long weekend in town! Had a great experience here, from the room, to the kind employees, to the complimentary breakfast. The room setup (separate living room/kitchen) was ideal with our kids in tow. They had a place to sleep and we didn't have to lay under the covers with our phones in a dark room! We were able to move around, relax, and have milk at hand in the fridge for the littlest. The beds & pillows were surprisingly comfortable, and the water pressure was great in the shower. No bath in our room for bathing kids, but luckily they're old enough where that didn't matter as much. We have said many times already that we'll be back, since it made our trip so much easier. This has to be one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are so nice and updated, the direct tv in the room gives you way more channels than a standard hotel, & all of the furniture is very comfortable felt like an apartment not a hotel. The entire hotel had that feel from the room to the lobby to the pool. The staff were all incredible & welcoming any time you walked by someone they would smile and say hello, especially Genile at the front desk every time I saw her she remembered me & would give me helpful suggestions on what to do or where to go, & I saw her doing this with every guest that passed by her. Top quality staff right there. The food stations were amazing, best breakfast buffet they had all the regulars like bagels, cereal, fruit but than omelets & sausage & than a make your own waffle station, I was impressed. My husband and I have recently started traveling quite a bit. We were in Las Vegas and decided we were going to drive up to Yellowstone on the way home to Denver. We stopped for the night in Midvale, Utah. We researched hotels on the trip here and found the Staybridge suites in Midvale. It was rated 4.9 stars and I can see why. This hotel is 3 years old but to us, it looks new. The room couldn't have been nicer. It was very spacious and clean. The hallways were so brightly lit and it felt so safe. The breakfast we had in the morning was delicious. Most hotels offer some type of breakfast in the am but this was truly delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again. read more

We held an event here last month and we loved the venue. Susan Green was the best to work with, she made sure everything was perfect. We ended up needing more tables than we had anticipated (I slightly panicked), but Susan took charge and got it fixed and our guests had no idea there was ever a hiccup. I stayed here with my husband and three kids last summer and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is new and clean and the rooms included everything we needed. We had a suite with plenty of room for the family to spread out and not be on top of each other. The kitchen was convenient for meals and prepping food for a baby. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices for everyone in the family. The pool & fire pit area was so nice and relaxing and they thought of everything from having towels out there to outside bathrooms and a shower area for rinsing off. Our room included a laundry basket and detergent and with the free laundry facilities downstairs we went home with clean laundry. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it for anyone, especially families. read more
