This hotel is in a convenient location in the middle of Jordan Landing in West Jordan and just off Bangeter Hwy and Mountain View Corridor. It's a small hotel in a quiet location that's easy to find. It was clean, neat and the staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable and they offer a variety of tv channels. They offer a "breakfast" for a $4.50 surcharge but IMO I would skip it. I checked in after 10:00 pm after a 10 hr travel day from the east coast with a major leg and back injury so I decided to do it because the thought of breakfast brought to my room versus going out to find something was appealing. Unfortunately, breakfast consist of a frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich, an apple or yogurt and milk or juice. This is not like a Hampton Inn or comparable hotel breakfast that is usually included in your rate. That would be the only negative I found overall. Sidenote: the fine print online says a blowdryer is apparently not a given you need to request a room with a blowdryer when you book. So be sure to ask. read more

I stayed at the My Place Hotel in West Jordan, UT this last week. Th room smelled weird, (musty and faintly sour). The faucet in the bathroom barely let out a stream of water, and the shower spigot pulled away from the shower tub wall whenever I tried to pull up on the shower diverter. I had to use the sink in the kitchenette whenever I needed water from a sink, including when brushing my teeth or washing my face. When I first arrived the keycards they gave me did not work. I had to go back down to the front desk to have them fix that problem. The next day, after I came back from my work, the cards did not work again. Apparently, the cards had only been coded for a one-night stay. They had to recode them again. Parking was good and the area was clean. There was a mall nearby. Let's start with a few good things. Price point is around 100. Rooms are relatively large, bed was acceptable, full size fridge, microwave, and cooktop. Room was pretty clean. This place is a longer stay type of hotel. The bad. Walking in I was sort of overwhelmed by the smell. It is some form of cleaner combined with whatever they use to remove pet odors. People mill about at the exits- smoking and talking. Out of town workers stay here. Above our room last night I could hear people all night. Like tweakers. You can also hear some road noise. They charge an extra 5 bucks for breakfast but I don't make a habit of eating at hotel breakfasts. I try to be fair when I write these things. I don't mind workers who sleep but I do mind tweakers who make noise all night. This might be one of those places. read more

First time in Utah and absolutely angry and frustrated! Booked a 2 night 2 qn room a week prior. Drove from AZ to UT with my 7 month pregnant sister for a wedding. Got there at 1 am and Jennifer (who was absolutely sweet by the way and tried her best to help us) gave us our key only to discover that it was a 1 qn with a chair. Went downstairs to dispute the room and was told that they ran out of rooms and didnt have the room we booked and offered us to move to a different room with a qn bed and a recliner while the issue gets resolved the next day since there was no manager available. Was advised that they were over booked. WHY BOOK A ROOM IF YOU ARE OVER BOOKED AND HOW IS IT OUR FAULT WHEN WE BOOKED A WEEK IN ADVANCE?! We were in the lobby for an hour dealing with the situation. The room they transferred us to was the same damn room as the first one. What was the point of that?! We advised Jennifer that we couldnt deal with any of this b.s since we had a wedding to attend at 12pm and it was already 2am. We were then told that we would be transferred to a 2 qn room that afternoon when the manager Brian would arrive. To compensate us for the trouble offered us breakfast. No thanks! A frozen breakfast does not make up for it. I demanded a refund for 1 night and was told everything will be handled when the manager Brian arrived. Got a call at 9am advising that the manager was downstairs. Went downstairs and was told that I would be refunded $73.30 for the one night. We were then transferred to a 2 qn room and a complementary breakfast was given on Sunday the day we were checking out. Fast forward to today and I checked my account. Instead of refunding me $73.30 THE AMOUNT WAS ACTUALLY DEDUCTED! I contacted the hotel and spoke to Gilbert..I was told to speak with my bank.. I'm not stupid and I know what I'm looking at.... the amount deducted already cleared! So now they set me back $146.60. Contacted the hotel and was advised I would be refunded the $146.60 with a confirmation sent to my email. We shall see how this turns out since I just got off the phone with them. This experience with the hotel has been an absolute nightmare! No one should ever experience what we went through. We were really given the blunt end of the stick by this hotel!! These hotels are independently owned so to complain to a corporate office would be a SOL situation. UPDATE: OMG!! THEY CHARGED MY ACCOUNT 146.60 AND THEN REVERSED IT! THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! INSTEAD OF ISSUING ME A REFUND, THEY CHARGED ME 146.60 AND THEN REVERSED THE CHARGE TO CANCEL IT OUT! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!! IM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BUREAU! I have experienced an extended stay at the Campus View location in West Jordan, Utah. It was a nice facility and the staff was helpful and cordial with our needs. However, I did take issue with on employee named Brian, who evidently was an Asst. Mgr. His attitude and treatment of guests was somewhat appalling. Nevermind how we saw him treating the staff! This guy needs to learn the proper way to conduct business and the correct treatment of others around him. Without customers, he doesn't get a paycheck or even has a place to come to for work. Their so-called budget stay came with a high price, in the form of bad customer service from one idiot who thought he was the Lord of the Flies!! read more

If I could rate with negative stars I would. My check-in with a reservation took 20-minutes. Was complete with booking me into an occupied room. The front desk was not able to confirm if the previous person in the room checked out. They could also not confirm if it had been cleaned. I got lucky there. My colleague on the other hand, who also had a reservation, heard the desk cancelling his reservation and booking his room to the people in front of us. Luckily confidentiality was not an issue and we heard his name clearly and had to speak up quickly. Was nearly a mess. I thought when I shut the door to my room I was going to pull the wall down with it. I'm fairly certain the walls are manufactured with rice paper. This feature also allowed me to hear everything happening in the next room. Day 2 I noticed no housekeeping. I'm a tidy sort so wasn't an issue. I realized later looking at my key folio that they provide housekeeping every four days. I went looking for the gym, but they don't feature one. I was offered up instead coin-op laundry. Not sure how this was a comparable amenity that Is be interested in unless I was Eng volunteered to relocate all the equipment. Nice no smoking signs out front, with a half dozen people smoking in front of them. The lobby night 2 was like a bar in 1985. Checked out and no bill. Staff couldn't print it. Said they would email me. Didn't have that on electronic file, but rest assured it's on a post-it note. Said they'd email me with the hour... still waiting. Rant done. Don't go there unless you are in desperate need. Hoping it is quickly replaced with something better. read more

I'm very dissatisfied with my stay at My Place in West Jordan. When I first checked in, I was unsure in the duration in which I would need to stay. The staff member that checked me in went through the different rates, stating the longer I stay the lower the rate. I requested 3 nights. The day before I was due to check out, I requested another night. The next day, I requested 2 more days, totaling a week which should have qualified for the lower rate. The staff member that extended my stay stated that I did qualify, but she could not make the adjustments. She let me know that her manager would fix it in the morning. In the morning I spoke with the manager about the situation. She refused to change the rate, and said it was against policy. She said that the lower rate was to encourage customers to stay longer, and it rewards them for paying upfront. In addition, it creates less work for the staff. I felt that the manager, Andria, was rude and very unhelpful. I do not feel that she belongs in customer service. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her and her staff. When she thought I was out of ear shot, I overheard her talking poorly of me with another staff member. That is not how you treat people. I don't completely follow the logic of the policy of not being able to lower the rates of previous dates. The entire time I stayed there, house cleaning never cleaned my room. I paid for the requested days upfront. The only additional work that was created for the staff was to ask them to extend my stay, and to charge my card. If a business wants to charge me an additional $250 because I took 10 minutes from their employee to help me, then I do not feel that the business appreciates me as a customer. read more

The hotel was clean and great for extended stays. The room comes with a fridge, kitchenette, big closet area, table. I only needed a room for one night so I didn't use any of the kitchen amenities. There wasn't any pots, pans, bowls, etc in the room itself but I believe there were some in the front. Not sure if you had to purchase them or they are complimentary. 4 stars vs 5 because the walls are paper thin. We stayed in the room right next to housekeeping so during the night we heard people in the lobby/front desk talking so loud and in the early morning we constantly heard the housekeeping door open and close. My other reasoning for 4 stars is the lady who checked us in wasn't very friendly. She seemed like she just wanted to hurry up and check us in so she didn't have to talk to us. She was very monotone and didn't smile once. When you check into a hotel the front desk clerk is usually cheery, talkative and very helpful but not this lady. Overall a good hotel. read more

This hotel was a wonderful surprise. Clean hotel, new appliances, bedding and decor. They were so helpful when we had a back up in our toilet (they fixed it) and they greeted us every day with a smile. The hotel rooms are HUGE!! The location was excellent, as it was only minutes away from all the stores you could want (Sam's club, Walmart, target, coffee shops, gas stations). We had the most pleasant stay here! From checking in late, and being exhausted from driving all day, Lisa was warm and welcoming and made staying with out cat and dog a breeze! The bed was cozy, the rooms were SO clean and very roomy! When checking out, and struggling to carry the cat to the car in the crate, Tom jumped right in to help us load her! We weren't sure what to expect because the pictures online were kind of sketchy. And then I thought about rescheduling somewhere because 100 bucks a night seemed expensive to me compared to other luxury type hotels for about 20 or $30 more. But got here and were extremely impressed. It's a new hotel and even smells new. the kitchen is real cute, beds are super comfy and it's got a homey feel even though it's super simple. Best hotel stay I have ever had! I was skeptical about staying at an extended stay location, but I'm beyond glad I did!!!! Also, the staff was so nice and welcoming. Even in the middle of the night ALBERT was very alert, attentive, nice and caring. He made the best suggestions for snacks, shopping, and over all quick visitor ideas which worked out perfect with my schedule. Will stay here again even if it's out of my way. Thank you. read more
