Dining hall
Deej Jo A.

Overall clean and well-maintained, looks like a fairly new hotel if not renovated. Complimentary breakfast provided but kids didn't it because there's no Fruit Loops. Located beside a school, pool onsite, al fresco dining area with grills and nice mountain view.

Really nice room layout
Diana H.

Really clean and new Marriott brand hotel. Great mini-suite layout with microwave, full refrigerator, dishes, glasses and utensils. Walk-in shower with bath amenities in pump bottles in the shower to reduce waste. The gentleman at the desk was so nice, even as I arrived very late and in no good mood after flight delays and having another hotel give my room away! But this gentleman was wonderful and got me into a nice, clean room Pronto! I'll update after trying breakfast.

Location was ideal especially since it's not too far from the major freeway, right near Costco, and close to a bunch of restaurants and stores.

I don't like to give out negative reviews, but in this…read morereview this hotel wasn't bad, it just wasn't good! Upon entering our room it looked ok but the maids just don't appear to pay any attention to detail. The room and the bed was comfortable. Things in the room that were neglected were somebody's used soap was still in the shower, there was a used bandaid on the floor and the smoke alarm needed a new battery because it chirped all night . The next morning at breakfast there was no one attending the room. The coffee dispenser was empty and the microwave was full of debris! There was no hot water for making tea and we never saw anyone taking care of the breakfast room. I went to the front desk to explain how the breakfast room needed attention and there was no one around! In parting the hotel was only rated 3 stars and now I know why. Oh yes, and when we checked in the front desk the person greeting us had either a terrible cold or worse and was sneezing all over everything! Post Covid this is kind of scary So, to sum up my stay it wasn't bad it just wasn't good. Overall just disappointing. No one here seems to care. Next time through Salt Lake City I will avoid staying here again!

This happened right as we were walking into the pool and there were TWO OTHER PEOPLE IN THE POOL. We were distraught because we really wanted to get in the pool after a long day. Oooof. It's hard for…read moreme to say how my week (a solid seven nights) went living out of the Crystal Inn while working in Salt Lake City. The Good *The staff is all helpful and friendly *The pool and hot tub were always empty and clean, probably the best "bonus" *There is a guest laundromat in the basement that is clean and useful *I never had a hard time finding a parking spot The Downside *The rooms are a little janky and old and don't feel completely clean *It was impossible to open the window in my room and the shower curtain was concerning *There is a breakfast every morning, which is mostly ok, but the butter and peanut butter next to the toaster are shared use and the coffee is not good and I'm not a picky coffee drinker. *Twice when I went to my car, I was approached by people in the parking lot asking for money

There's an adjacent exercise room but I found this a bit lacking. It's a tiny room with 2 ellicipticals and a treadmill. My favorite has to be the breakfast buffet every day from 6AM - 9AM. The menu can vary but there was bread and bagels with cream cheese and butter, pb and jam, scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, and fresh fruit. The hotel suite was clean. There is a sort of damp smell around the elevator and first floor but it's not too overwhelming. There's a lot of available parking.

The room is clean, I'll give it that. But there are a few things you can't ignore…read more This hotel room has to be the strangest layout I've seen in a hotel in a long time. For starters, storage space, there is ONE SMALL CLOSET in the entrance area and ONE DRESSER. You may think you're getting a big closet in the bedroom but no, it's just an empty box with nothing but a light and light switch, no rails, racks, or shelves. Second, the thermostat, there are two ways to change the temperature in the room, the bedroom uses the wall thermostat meanwhile the entrance area needs to use the window unit? Third, the awkward spacing, there are huge areas with nothing in them, leaving big empty areas without any furniture making it feel like a liminal space. I am writing this in the room, sitting in a chair facing one of the empty spaces. I've stayed in shoebox sized rooms with better layouts than this. I would also like to add that we checked in around 5:30 PM and they still had us wait to make sure the room was ready, which is strange seeing how late it was into the day, but I don't hold this with as much importance even though it doesn't help.

The service staff for breakfast each morning was extremely friendly. They kept everything clean and refilled properly each day. The location was great to visit all the SLC touristy areas.

The worst stay ever due to basic things not provided. Basically if you need anything more than a…read moreclean bed, DO NOT STAY HERE. Do you need internet? let me be clear... there is no internet and they actually block your hotspot with extra thick walls and no hotspots. I have great internet service off of my phone and couldn't get even that in my room. THE MOST RUDE PART WAS THAT THEY CONTINUED TO SAY THE WIFI WOULD BE FIXED WITHIN HOURS OR A DAY. It never was. I am serious. After two weeks of zoom calls that jeopardized my very work and day to day job, I ended up taking a loss on my stay there and staying at a Marriot. I stayed at multiple ESA locations and they all could not provide wifi beyond basic email, despite advertising high speed internet. If anyone is having problems, please reach out and I can help identify if they are screwing you over because I spent hours on the phone with their tech support and have actually become really smart about internet speeds and if they are providing what they say. Please send me a message if you think ESA is screwing you over. They owe me about $2k and won't return my calls. The worst hotel chain in history. If you work for ESA I'd love to update this review, but i've never heard back.

I had to stay here two days in a row as I waited for a vehicle delivery to be completed…read more It was my second choice and I can't complain. The sheets were clean and I had hot water and hats all that mattered. My only gripe would be the fact they ran out of program guides for the tv. We all know how painful it is to select from dozens of channels and not know what channel is what. All of the other complaints or praise may be true or not. I can say I got adequate help and treatment from the staff. Treatment is management hiring practices and training and staff wage commensurate. The fact you can wash and dry your clothes on the premises is a nice thing. It appears there are people living here, but no one presented themselves as people to keep a weary eye out for. Make it your second choice if you want uniformed staff and no one tray makes a home out the place but if your money is just on sleep and hot water - then this is the place.
