It is a little bit of a drive from Salt Lake City and there was some traffic on the way but we made it within an hour. I don't know how much it cost to book this venue, but if you are looking for a rustic place for a gathering, you should check it out. It looks like a really old building, and the outside was a bit muddy because of the weather. With the wood floors everyone was clomping around noisily. They had a really cool upstairs area where the kids could play. There was also a really nice dining hall, that was decorated with cute items. The parking was no problem. And they let the kids play outside on the porch. All in all this is a good location for a gathering. Or seance. Whatever your poison is.

The location is just as close to SLC as anything else but it's nestled off in a corner that's a lot quieter and more relaxed than a lot of the city stuff. As a photographer, I wasn't paying for anything at this venue, but I looked into their prices which are very good for everything you get here. I'd feel comfortable calling the Coulter House, the best value of any venue I've ever shot at!

Rating (maximum points = 5)…read more Value for money: 4 Cleanliness: 4 Food Quality: N/A Customer Service: 5 Look and Feel (Ambiance): 4 Thank you, Come Again?: 4 It feels like you're in apocalyptic world or in the "Mad Max" movie for those who are familiar with the film. Night Lights hosts a lantern event at the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) three times a year. It's about a 45 min drive from SLC. The tickets sell out fast so I would recommend getting on the waitlist as soon as you know you're going to go. https://www.nightlightsevent.com/utah Pro Tip: If you're going to attend this event, keep in mind the following things. -Bring portable outdoor chairs and blankets. It's going to be a bit of a wait before the lanterns launch and you'll need to pick a spot in the crowd to set up a mini camp. Outside food and drinks are not allowed but they do have food trucks and s'mores kits onsite. -Group Setting. It's better to attend this event in a group (2+ or more) if you plan on lighting the lanterns. It's possible to light it yourself but it's quite a challenge if there are strong winds. -Dress accordingly to the weather and bring insect repellent. Depending on the area, there could be swarms of mosquitos and gnats. It will start off hot in the day but can get colder throughout the night. Some people will bring outdoor blankets. -Arrive early. Plan to arrive two hours early before the lanterns are lit up. This allows you to pick a spot to camp and get dinner from the various food trucks. -Central Location. When setting up camp, I would reccomend being somewhere in the middle of the lantern lighting area to maximize light impact. If you're located on the edges, then your pictures won't turn out as well in comparison to being in the middle. Even though your pictures will turn out better, you're also more at risk of breathing in the fire pit smoke and getting hit by the lanterns that are released by other groups. TL;DR (Beware) Central location = Better pictures, greater risk of breathing in black smoke and getting hit by fire-lit lanterns. -Dirty and Black Smoke. For those with asthma or sensitivity to smoke, I would highly recommend to skip this event. Night Lights sell "s'mores kits" which comes with a fire pit, a bag of marshmallows, box of Graham crackers, and skewers. These fire pits are fun BUT cause a lot of smoke in the area and can make it hard to breathe for some people. (See attached picture) -Allow the lantern to completely fill up with air before letting it go. There were soooo many people who released their lanterns too early and the lanterns ended up floating on the ground and almost burning people. I'm pretty certain some people may have actually gotten burnt but fortunately my group didn't get impacted and there was medical staff on-site. Overall, the pictures are memorable and the event turned out fun. I would recommend attending it at least once in your lifetime. Would you go? Let me know. Follow me for all the Salt City sips and trips.

Both my coworker and I were charged for past tenants damages. I was promised by word and writing a $100 referral bonus and after Danielle handed me the forms, I filled them out and both me and my coworker signed them, I returned them to her hand at her desk and they still gave us nothing. Two giant wasp nest stayed above my parking spot for a month before they got so big I handled it myself after 2 work orders I filled did not get answered. 9 days my coworker moved out, management stopped answering her calls and emails about the final billing discrepancy. Instead, they push her case to an attorney who is attempting to collect compounding interest on an in accurate debt that would have been settled should the slightest amount of effort been put forth from the cove management. These people are crooked robbers. The manager Danielle will have nothing to do with you, don't count on her to help much less be on property when in need. I didn't get to use the pool for a year and a half or the gym and they took nothing off the overpriced rent. Seriously consider living anywhere but the Cove at Overlake in Tooele. I'm a defense contractor and my work pays for my apartments otherwise I would have left the first month I was there. I've lived in dozen of apartments across the country over the years and this is THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Dishonest, incompetent, rude management makes what could be a dream, a living nightmare.

When we left, the parking lot was overflowing and cars circling around trying to find a parking space. Still, with the influx of larger crowds to parking lot capacity, it didn't feel crowded inside. This is a wonderful place to visit. A wonderful place to bring family and friends..There are animals and species that I've never seen anywhere else, and I've been to the Tucson Sonoran Desert Museum, the San Diego Safari Park, Sea World, Scripps Oceanography, and various zoos. This was a treat. And almost all were active and were seen. Such variety. There is no wasted space in this museum. Walls are adorned, such as a long wall with the ascending walkway going to the penguin exhibit made to look like a South Pole research center. Even every access door for employees are adorned. See my photos. Nice vegetation areas in otherwise unused space. They put a nice climbing gym in what would have been an unused corner, great for parents who need a break and kids to dissipate energy. There are thoughtful benches placed here and there for a sit down rest. There is a very nice small cafe and snack bar to get a yummy huge pretzel, or hamburger and other sandwiches and salads. Looking at the prices, they are very reasonable for a museum/theme park. You are getting a great value for the buck. Whether you are buying for just the day or a membership, I think that you are getting your money's worth. We spent four hours there and didn't see everything, read everything, tried everything. The four hours went by fast. This is a very popular place for good reason--a jewel in the valley. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Melanie took a HUGE weight off our shoulders dealing with the venue that we were having troubles with. She was always very eager to help us out in any way possible. Melanie really knows everything wedding and organizing an event. The day of our wedding went so smoothly with Melanie getting every one organized and and staying on the timeline (which we all know is pretty much impossible to do for a wedding) but she did it. Melanie is extremely professional and I will always recommend The Perfect Hostess to everyone planning a wedding or an event. Also The Perfect Hostess is partnered with CES Audio Visual with Dean in charge of AV. Dean also did an amazing job with setting everything up and organizing the audio for our ceremony and reception. Dean was very nice to work with and along with The Perfect Hostess what an excellent combination and a tremendous deal. The prices are outstanding and they could charge three times the amount and still be worth it.

In our…read moreemail correspondence, Melanie stated that she would be there at 5:30 pm for our 6:00 pm event start time. However, on the day of the wedding she arrived at 6:10 pm, when we were getting ready to start the ceremony without her. She did not make any effort to let us know she was going to be late, or even that she was on her way, I had no idea she was still coming until she arrived AFTER the start of our event. Her excuse was that she was on the lake and tried to time it to make it to our event, obviously failing at this. The Perfect Hostess maintains that services were rendered according to our agreement, even though Melanie arrived after the start time of our event, without ever trying to contact us about her tardiness. I would NOT recommend their services, even if it means paying more for another coordinator. I now know the reason A Perfect Hostess is so "cheap" (still a good bit of money) when compared with other people offering similar services. The main reason we wanted someone there on the day of our wedding was to alleviate stress but I can tell you that Melanie being so late was the most stressful part of the entire day.
