I don't know how much it cost to book this venue, but if you are looking for a rustic place for a gathering, you should check it out. It looks like a really old building, and the outside was a bit muddy because of the weather. With the wood floors everyone was clomping around noisily. They had a really cool upstairs area where the kids could play. There was also a really nice dining hall, that was decorated with cute items. The parking was no problem. And they let the kids play outside on the porch. All in all this is a good location for a gathering. Or seance. Whatever your poison is.

I'd feel comfortable calling the Coulter House, the best value of any venue I've ever shot at!

The kitchen is huge for the caterers, the outside is beautiful, there is plenty of parking, and the inside is very spacious. When me & my mom met with the owner in her home, she made us feel very unwelcomed and that we were wasting her time right from the start when in fact she was the one who picked the time & day for the meeting. I asked her if she does complete room draping (something that I've always wanted because it gives the room that extra romantic feel) and they don't even consider it. I asked her how they would hide certain things in the room that I may not like at the venue and she told me they don't cover things because it just draws attention to it even more than what it already does. I told her I do not want any of that ugly fake greenery because it doesn't match my theme, and she continued to ignore me. If you have a bride who is seriously considering your services, you do not tell her no or treat her like a lesser person. In the end I did find a company who does full room draping and ceiling canopies, my wedding was everything that I wanted, with no thanks to this "something borrowed" company.

I liked how professional and quick ro respond Janet was through the planning process. Janet made the food on site and the pasta bar was a great choice, many guests complimented the food. They said the date was available and were asking me questions around noon. I replied after work and by the time I got back to her... this is what she said: "Hi! After I texted with you earlier today, I had someone give me a deposit to book May 14th. I'm sorry but we are no longer available. Let me see if I can find someone to refer you to." If you were going to sell it out from under me, I would have done my own deposit that morning. It's bad business and a poor business decision. It frustrates clients when you do that.
