The Manager is a psychopath that was going to kick me out of my room for asking for a spare key until his assistant calmed him down, emphasizing "no refunds". I was put in a room with a leaking toilet that I was going to be blamed for so I put a stop payment through my bank and left a day early. The prices are so low because this place is horrendous and don't deserve your business. The key cards lose their magnetism on their own really quickly and good luck with getting the maintenance to come and open the door for you. Discovery Inn is just down the street and isn't much more expensive, maybe like 480$ a week, and it has everything you would expect, and better normal internet. Man, screw those people at IntownSuites for real. 0 Stars, close it down.

Just some of the blood found in the room when we checked in

I have stayed here on several occasions and like this hotel very much. Some people writing reviews…read morehere complain that this place is like a hostel. It definitely does have that friendly hostel vibe, but it would be analogous to a very nice European hostel. This place is operated by Hilton and I like many things about this place. For one, check out is at noon, so thats a bonus if you need that later check out. Complimentary breakfast every morning with a wide selection of fruits, oatmeal, bagels, breads, hard boiled eggs, cereal, milk, juices, scrambled eggs, protein of choice like pork or chicken sausage, and a very cool pancake maker machine. I have never seen one before. You wave your hand at the sensor and the machine makes you little mini pancakes. There was a small kid one morning here that was mesmerized with this machine, and I was too! Rooms are nice, spacious, thoughtful design. Lots of hooks for more storage, there is a mini fridge, good sized TV, work desk and the room I stayed in, there was a bathtub, yea!! Lots of snacks to purchase in the lobby, pricey but available. Pool and hot tub available, I have never tried them. Beautiful gorgeous views of the mountains here and plenty of parking. For the amount you spend here, youre getting a pretty nice place to stay. Id definitely stay here again and you should too!

My impression of Tru is that it's sort of an upscale hostel. I would suggest Tru hotels to people…read morewho are very budget conscious but don't want to settle for a 2-star motel in a bad part of town. The interior is sleek and to me feels a bit soulless. The rooms are very basic, no coffee maker, very little storage (which I really never use anyway). Something I didn't really like was that they have space under the bed and even suggest using it for extra storage space. I see that as a place for me to loose socks and other small items unless I want to get all the way on the floor to check under the bed before I leave. Speaking of the bed, the mattresses are very thin and I found them uncomfortable. I got almost no sleep while I was there. When I was there the ice maker was out of order and they offered to get ice for me from the kitchen. I was looking to get more than the wine bucket's worth of ice so I turned them down and ended up buying ice from a convenience store. The breakfast was mostly extra basic except that instead of waffle makers they had pancake makers, so that was exciting.

Oooof. It's hard for…read moreme to say how my week (a solid seven nights) went living out of the Crystal Inn while working in Salt Lake City. The Good *The staff is all helpful and friendly *The pool and hot tub were always empty and clean, probably the best "bonus" *There is a guest laundromat in the basement that is clean and useful *I never had a hard time finding a parking spot The Downside *The rooms are a little janky and old and don't feel completely clean *It was impossible to open the window in my room and the shower curtain was concerning *There is a breakfast every morning, which is mostly ok, but the butter and peanut butter next to the toaster are shared use and the coffee is not good and I'm not a picky coffee drinker. *Twice when I went to my car, I was approached by people in the parking lot asking for money

There's an adjacent exercise room but I found this a bit lacking. It's a tiny room with 2 ellicipticals and a treadmill. My favorite has to be the breakfast buffet every day from 6AM - 9AM. The menu can vary but there was bread and bagels with cream cheese and butter, pb and jam, scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, and fresh fruit. The hotel suite was clean. There is a sort of damp smell around the elevator and first floor but it's not too overwhelming. There's a lot of available parking.
