Our 6 babies stayed with Kate at SKS for a week just about a month ago. My husband and I were nervous wrecks about leaving them with someone for the first time that wasn't a family member but all family members traveled out of town together. Kate was wonderful via email answering all questions we had for a couple of months leading up to their stay and even spoke to my husband and I on the phone for like 30 minutes prior to their arrival and that made us much more at ease. Kate was very warm and welcoming when we arrived and even let me stay with my babies for a while to help them feel a bit more comfortable being in a brand new space with unknown people. We had cameras we could watch to check in on and speak to them and she would email me in the morning and afternoons/evening letting me know how they were acclimating to their stay and even sent us photos. They had kitty TV on in their suites as well to entertain them. She made friends with my bunch and gave them some toys that she sent them home with that they absolutely love! I would see them playing on the camera and still at home they go nuts playing with these fish. I recommend Kate and Stay Kitty Stay wholeheartedly. Do not think twice about leaving your babies with someone that is kind and caring with your cats. You know upon meeting her that she is absolutely a cat lover and was made for caring for them and to run her rescue as well. Thank you, Kate! I'm really disappointed. I had sent them an email a week ago inquiring about boarding my cat there and never heard back from them. I received an automated email that said I would hear back within 24 hours and they checked their emails daily and it's a week later and still nothing. I'm relieved because I would be petrified to leave my cat there. read more

My baby Avocado loves it here. I feel like he loves it so much, he gets bored being home with my partner and I. LOL! He has been boarded at Stay Kitty Stay twice thus far (within the month or so) and will be going again within the next week! At this point, I trust NO ONE more than I trust Kate to take care of our baby. It's like his second home! He gets to watch all of the real birds, bees and other animals from his suite (instead of the youtube videos I like to put on for him). From what I hear, he gets chatty with the other cats. He gets exercise time, which is great since he's used to running around the house like a crazy person at times. Even with COVID, I was assured all proper safety measures would be put in place to keep him safe (YES, cats can catch COVID!). It would be great if Kate could get the live feed up and running (mostly because we suffer from separation anxiety from him!) but all in all I always trust he is in good hands. Prior to this, we boarded him at a PetCo when he was much younger. It was a terrible experience for us. When we got him back he was maybe a good 5 pounds heavier and his demeanor was a bit different. Since he has been boarding at SKS, he has never come home sick, matted, dirty or anything beyond anxiety from the car ride. One of the best things we look forward to are the postcards via email! Everyday or so, we get an update on his daily activities and what he did that day, along with a picture. It really makes us feel so much better about missing him. Being new pet parents, we were skeptical of leaving our baby with a stranger. Since quarantine has happened, we are kind of "co-dependent" as a family; we are so used to being with each other ALL THE TIME. I feel more comfortable leaving him with someone who actually loves cats than leaving him with one of my friends who will merely make sure he eats. So happy I stumbled upon this place and I HIGHLY recommend!!! Kate is wonderful! read more

Kate took wonderful care of my cat Fee and she was super accommodating!! She provides a great service! This summer was the first time I've needed to board my cat and I did not know until now that there are barely any options in Bergen County! I'll start by saying that it's not easy to find someone to entrust your beloved cat with while you travel. There are MANY dog boarding options, but not so for felines so when I "found" Stay Kitty Stay AND it was fairly close to me, I was hopefully optimistic. I emailed Kate a few months before our trip to ask questions and see what accommodation would be best and she was quick to respond to my emails and answer all my questions. I booked the 2 Level Suite for my 8 year old Maine Coon and my 5 year old Ragdoll (both larger breeds) and couldn't have been more pleased with my choice! Their suite was well lit, immaculate, plenty of cubbies to hide in, "cat walks" galore and at the top?! ... A WINDOW for them to watch the birds, bees and had a great breeze as well. This was the first time I had to board them so other then trips to the groomers and the vet, this was their first "away from home" experience. My Ragdoll is much friendlier and more inquisitive then my Maine Coon who is a bit more of a grumpy old man but Kate made sure to keep a close eye on them and was so great about sending me pictures and videos each day to show me their progress. I could really tell that Kate genuinely cared about my boys and making them feel comfortable in their new environment. Thank you Kate for taking such good care of my boys and we will see you again in 2023 (and perhaps even sooner!!). read more

I would hands down recommend Stay Kitty Stay. Kate is a true animal lover and provided the best care to our 16 year old cat Grace, who takes several medications and is blind. We were completely at ease for the duration of her stay (approximately 12 days) thanks to her daily updates with pictures and videos! Before learning about Stay Kitty Stay, I found it incredibly challenging to find a non-hospital based kennel that takes cats who are older and/or have special needs. I am so grateful that Stay Kitty Stay is around and look forward to having Grace and our other cats boarded there in the future. read more

This is, without question, the best place that you can ever find to board your cat! The suites are very comfortable, and they include shelves, windows, and boxes that our Saber loved. There are various sizes of suites so that if you have multiple cats, they can be accommodated together. The facility is immaculately clean, so you can be sure that your kitty will return to you content and healthy! Kate, the owner, was incredibly helpful and accommodating to us at a very difficult time; she couldn't be more lovely! I give Stay Kitty Stay my highest, unqualified recommendation! read more

Both of my cats enjoyed their stay here. It is run with love and I was sent pics of my cats every day with stories of what they had been up to. I would absolutely recommend bringing your cats to this cat only boarding place. Our cat, Miss Meow, enjoyed a recent stay at SKS. She was very well cared for and the facilities are spotless. Some cats are there for long stays while their owners are away or just short-term as our cat was. Others cats are up for adoption as well. If your cat is sociable, he would be free to join the free-roaming cats there or placed in his own kitty condo, which is complete with cat perches and walks, a private area with bedding, and food, water, and litter box, all provided by the cattery. The Director, Kate, is a true cat lover and took excellent care of our cat, even administering her daily medicine (pill) as needed. Our cat was previously feral so this was not as easy as it sounds, as she isn't all that tame and is very distrustful of anyone outside the family. Her short four-day stay in a private kitty condo went very well considering all the cat baggage she brought along with her LOL. I would not hesitate to recommend SKS if you need to board your cat for a short or long stay. They have well-thought everything out ahead of time and solved each issue for you so you will have no qualms when you drop your kitty off. read more
