Went here last night and was charged 40$ for playing pool. There was no signage for pool table rates and when I requested the balls at no point did they tell me it was 10$ an hour. I wouldn't have spent any time playing pool had I known how over priced it was. Left there feeling swindled. For reference, most bars I've played pool at is 2-3$ for about an hour. read more

I met my date at this establishment on a very hot day at 6:00 PM on a Wednesday. No air conditioning in 2021? This is not the 50's let's get some A/C going. One of the last billiards places with a home feeling to it. The bartender can be a hit or miss (depending on who is working that night). Outside of the alcohol, this place is one of the only places I can say has kept their tables in check. I've played in many hole in the walls, but I definitely enjoy going out to play at this location because of the quality of tables they have, prices and atmosphere. This place is not a bad billiard hall. The price was decent. My only concern was the Covid-19 safety measure. They have a sign saying face coverings was required but once you entered, there was barely any workers or customers who have their masks on. This place is super over priced and the staff is unfriendly. During the open streets event they had a sign out front saying drinks were on happy hour during the event, but then after we ordered they said it was only until 7, despite the sign not having any times on it. There are two pool halls in Bay Ridge and this is one of them. I like this one because it has a bar, darts boards, and is in a more convenient location in terms of what kind of businesses surround it. 3rd avenue is filled with restaurants, cafes, bars, and lounges so before or after a game of pool, you always have something else to do. Even though this is the smaller pool hall, I've never really had to wait for a table. I usually go weeknights so I'm not too sure how the scene is on a weekend. Price is very reasonable. I was surprised they were open on Thanksgiving but on the plus side, it was nice and empty....which was kind of good with balls flying and all. Good music, the place was clean, the guy at the counter was nice, bathroom was clean and the game itself had no mishaps...at least on the establishment's end...lol. The price is reasonable too and wouldn't have minded staying another hour. Frankly in what was spent in food, I'm not sure why we didn't do the second hour at that rate. If you come here with 20 friends from work, you'll have a larger party. To be rocking, there needs to be 200+ like-minded people having a great time. Bay Ridge's finest billiard. Thats enough to truly be said about it. They do have a lot of tables to choose from and they have a couple dart boards too. Its a full service bar and reasonable too. I just am not a fan of pool and am not any good at it either. I do not know how to play billiards but my friend insisted me to learn. We came here after having a great meal and did not want to sit around anymore. When I walked through the door, I immediately saw the bar area. They have a good selection of liquor and some televisions for people to watch. No comments about the drinks since we did not order :( They have at least five tables and a dart board. The people that were playing in the this place were all mindful of each others games. I did not get jabbed by a pool stick or bump into anyone. There was only one employee there, but he did fine by himself. This is the kind of pool hall that your grandpa kicks back in on the weekends. Old wood paneling, kind of grungy and may smell, not a whole lot of beers on tap but they have $3 pbr cans. I think I may love it. Came here post birthday dinner the other weekend to have a casual night at shooting pool with a couple of my friends that live way out in the boondocks in Brooklyn. I'm thoroughly impressed with my skills (haven't played in ages) and nearly (my partner didn't sink any balls) single handedly won a round against our opponents. Music selection is decent. Kids may show up randomly to play. But it's okay because they weren't annoying or running around killing people with cue sticks. Plenty of tables to pick from because it doesn't get too crowded and pool costs only $15 a table. I took my boyfriend here because he loves pool and hadn't played in a while. It was $10 for an hour, I think. Maybe $8, I don't recall. The people working there were very nice. I liked that the pool tables were very separate from the bar area. They had plenty of tables, too. I had a cranberry vodka and it was pretty strong, no complaints I guess. There's a bar so you can get any alochol you want. Great for socializing and playing with your friends. There are several billiards spots near me but I usually choose to come here because it has a very relaxing and calm atmosphere. Music is not blasting in the background like in other places which can be quite disruptive to your game. There are a few things to note about this place. All good. First, its big, clean, and more clean. I'd feel bad coming in here with a stamp on my hand from the previous night's debacle/club/drinking escapade. Second, its a pool hall. In an area where there should be a pool hall. Bay Ridge. Third, check out the myspace page for this place. Take a look at the kind of friends it has, and you'll see how a good chunk of Bay Ridge operates. Fourth, they have NFL season pass or whatever you call it. Aka, you line up in front of one of their tvs or their big projection screen (its a Jets bar from what I remember) and you request whatever game you want, the bartender is more than happy to oblige. Fifth, there was free hot pasta and meatballs during the game. Greatness was defined in that moment and also when I stated that "I'm proud that girls talk to me" was my greatest high school achievement after some girl said hers was "setting up a school fundraiser to help raise money to fight AIDS in South Africa" in front of 300 people at a luncheon for "Students of Color Achievers" for the greater Albany area. Please shoot any hint of an ego down, this review will continue. Sixth, I'm a Patriots fan, walking in with my old Drew Bledsoe Pats jersey, into a Jets bar, and the bartender was very friendly and was talking about the game with me. Points there.
