Almost the whole store is everything packaged in plastic...... Isles of water and beverages but no water in glass or tin bottles. Don't order from the deli late in the day. Somehow the food becomes very unappetizing towards the evening hours. The recipes for the deli foods are bad tasting. No wonder they don't get eaten at potlucks, so I haven't made that choice of food selection anymore. Make sure the chicken has been fried in fresh oil........ I have had rancid tasting chicken and now I don't chance it anymore. The fresh flower selection is drab so I have to buy a few bouquets, take them apart and create something better than just a bunch of random blooms thrown together and that's pretty much all that is offered for the most part. I have to give a big shout out to the people in the meat department, Damian, Gerry & Amber. They truly went above & beyond for me, especially Damian & by the picture you can tell, he was truly proud of himself as well, as was I and his team. I was making burgers over the weekend, and my mom doesn't eat red meat, so I went looking for chicken patties & couldn't find some, only turkey patties. I went to the meat department to see if they can help me & within seconds, they're like, "we can get whatever meat you want and make it into patties for you." I thought that was just impossible since I only wanted 2 patties but these guys didn't mind, didn't look upset about it, on the contrary Damian jumped to the occasion & made me 2 delicious looking chicken patties. There was very very few flowers up in the store as my daughter and I walked in looking for a bouquet of flowers for mother's day....we grabbed some flowers and sewn she had just completed a small arrangement of flowers I asked if she was not busy if she could put together an arrangement of flowers for us....she said, "yes I love putting them together"....we had a brief conversation as she was putting it together. Even though it has been around for about 10 years the place looks spotless. I pulled over to get some lunch from their deli section. I had to try there tuna poke bowl it was 9.99$ not bad would never order it again. While I was waiting I walked to the back to get some fresh bay shrimp (those are the 250ct to a pound ) but it was mush that smelled so bad my cat wouldn't touch it. And the smell went to the trash. Purchased some groceries and needed $50 cash back. I asked if I could get 5 $10 bills. Alaina A. hands me two $10 and rest in $5. While I was getting groceries this past Saturday I had a very unprofessional encounter when one of the cashiers on check stand number 4 around 8:25am, I believe her name was Anell (hard to get the name due to her being on her phone with her helper)I was trying to communicate with her as she processed my groceries but she wouldn't acknowledge me due to her priority being showing things off what appeared to be her personal phone to the person helping her bag my items. She laughed and laughed and continued to ignore the fact that I was there, I understand she doesn't need to have a conversation with me but at least akwknolwdge me as a customer. I'm pretty certain they have breaks and have time to be on their phones but honestly she should put the same effort she does into gossiping with co-workers to the paying customers of the store. I would give this 0 's if I could. Stater bro's you need to own your mistakes instead of cheating your customers!!! I was just shopping at this store and i was extremely unimpressed. Not only were the employees unfriendly but they also couldn't even provide a proper explanation on where the misunderstanding was occurring. The pop was labeled 2.99 when you buy 4 or more and the label specifically said mix or match. However when i got to the register she said the 2.99 price was only if you bought all the same brand. The problem is nowhere on the label does it say that, at all and cashier wasn't telling me where i could find that info. Everywhere else mix and match means mixing different brands or matching brands. However apparently on the tag is a picture of the brand and according to another rude employee this isn't being used as a description of the brand. IT IS BEING USED TO TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN ONLY MIX AND MATCH THAT BRAND TO GET THE SALES PRICE. It doesn't matter that nowhere does it actually say that and nowhere does it give any clear or concise rules or instructions. It doesn't matter that people are being screwed over because of their vague and misleading displays. THEY WILL NOT OWN OR HONOR THEIR MISTAKE. They will charge you full price and not give any explanation on their mislabeled products. So thanks to their scam like display and their unhelpful employees, not only was i charged in a way i shouldn't have been but I'll also be posting negative a negative review on Yelp but I'll also not be returning to this store. I'll ensure that my roommates no longer shop here and I'll also request every service person i come into contact with which is a lot to not shop here as well seeing as how i was treated here and im a combat veteran as well. It's convenient being that this Stater's has a bank and a pharmacy inside. The pharmacy gets 5 stars, Lee is an amazing pharmacist. The bank gets 5 stars, great customer service there. The store itself is clean, besides that I have nothing positive to say. I live very close but I chose to shop at Henry's across town for their fresher produce and great customer service. Shopping here I feel invisible, employees running into me with their broom, tossing my change back hurriedly, being subjected to hearing them speak about private intimate moments. It's it that hard to say "hello", and keep your personal stuff to yourself. I just walked past the butcher, where he was coughing uncontrollably and hacked phlegm in the trash can behind the counter. That is completely disgusting! I spoke with the manager who seemed annoyed that I brought that to his attention. read more

This Stater Brothers is a pretty new store in a pretty new mall in the old town of San Jacinto. It is north of the heart of San Jacinto on one of the main drags through the area, State street. Lots of parking, clean mall, and clean store with new fixtures. Has similar offerings to a Safeway, with Deli areas. I was going to a little event, so I had to pick up a tray of finger food. Party Platter $12.99. This shouldn't be confused with a Party Tray, for $10.99 I forget, but I think one is a veggie tray with a dip in the middle, and the other was, uh, well, er, I forget. Something similar, but non offensively neutral in appeal. Heavy weight plastic forks were $0.99. Oh, I think one had cheese and the other veggie? Oh hell, I forget. Check it out yourself. Not in the deli section where the cheeses are, but over in a separate refrigeration unit. read more

This is the cleanest store in the entire valley. Many of the employees here are the best, and I enjoy driving from Valle vista to come to this store rather than one closer to my house. One employee who genuinely always sticks out to me is Cierra S. She always has a smile on her face and this last time I came through her line, she and I had the most genuine conversation and she really made my day. Inside store clean and well stocked, but lines get too long I've been there and some lines for register are 10 to 13 customers deep. Cashiers complaining amongst each other about their schedules and who's covering a shift. But every one in the meat and produce and deli area have allways been helpful 100% on point. I like this store and chose it when it opened because of the pharmacy! I have many prescriptions to fill every month and this is much better than the rite-aid or wal greens route. The people that work in the pharmacy are all really awesome! It's faster too I also really like the people in produce they are very friendly and that department is so clean and nice. I have tried for years to just avoid one checker I think her name is Cindy, 50s bleach blonde hair with a terrible attitude. I cannot figure out why she is working in customer service since she is clearly unhappy there. I am literally at the point if I show up there and see that she is the only person on the registers I turn around walk back to my car and drive to the other staters on San Jacinto at Esplanade where they are always very friendly. I finally figured out that I am sick so often so when I do get out, anywhere I want a pleasant experience and more often than not I do not if that woman is working either she just can't stand me or its everybody? So I decided from now on just to go the extra mile to the S.J./ Esplanade Staters and have Sails drugs deliver my meds. The total is about $1000+ every month so they seem happy to be getting me! New to the area. We don't have a lot of Stater Bros. markets where I used to live but I have been to the Downey location. This is a clean store, the deli and produce sections are clean, they also offer good selections of products. Having been to worse locations in Los Angeles this store is nothing to complain about. Lines are as expected and not extremely long. Two or three people in line might seem like an eternity to impatient people but the checkers are friendly and so are the courtesy clerks. This location also has a bank, pharmacy and Red Box plus a water refill station out front. read more

I want to let everyone know that I received excellent Customer Service from Jacob R. from the Stater Bros. in San Jacinto on State Street by San Jacinto College. Jacob R. was working at the front of the store with the cashiers. There was a newer employee at the Bakery Department that was unable to help me so I went to ask the manager to see if I could get someone else to help me. Before the manager said anything, Jacob R. volunteered himself to assist me in the Bakery Department, He left the front of the store to go to the bakery to assist me and he doesn't even work in that department. Never really had a problem with this location until 10/26/21 when my husband visited the ATM machine and failed to bring my bank card home (his fault he lost it). I discovered it the next morning and went to visit the stores lost and found hoping it was there... The lack of customer services and concern I received when I went into the store spoke with Matthew. I informed him of the situation, he was very reluctant and did not want to help me. (1) He first stated if the card was left in the machine, the machine would automatically retract the bank card back into the machine which in turn locks the machine and that's not a store problem. I would have to contact the machine owner. I posed a question" if someone retrieved it and turned it in,is there a lost and found? (2)He paused and stated something to the effect yeah the lost and found is up stairs I can go look once I get my line goes down. Ok I figured no problem I can wait there was only about 3 people in line but then I noticed the line continued to grow so I ask are you going to turn the light off on the register because this line is never going to go down (3) of course his answer was no and he gave a reason starting some store lingo ( concerning a bell ) as to why he couldn't turn the registers light off. I understood that customers need to be serviced (they shouldn't have to suffer for my husband's and I mistake). I should mention because he seemed so reluctant to help in-addition to being busy on the register I had a great idea perhaps the manager could help.. you know what came next...he stated she was on a break... well at least he didn't say I am the manager!
