I had to visit this Stater Bros. location to grab some items to make ice cream in my new Ninja Creami! I headed to the frozen section and it was nicely displayed and organized. I was able to find acai mixture and frozen berries. Also visited the dairy section and grabbed some heavy whipping cream and milk. I have to say the prices are reasonable and it was easy to location items. Overall, clean and organized store layout. Aisles are easy to navigate, products are well-stocked. It makes shopping quick and stress-free. As I was having trouble finding real vanilla intease of imitation extract, I asked a staff member and they were quite helpful. Today they had a find the Elf event and you get a free small candy cane. Quite a good game for kids as their parents are shopping here. Of course I participated in this and had trouble finding the Elf. HAHAHA. I did get some help from the staff and found the 2 little elves. What a great hiding spot! As I was searching for these elves, I did past by the product section and it was stocked well and fresh with new produce. I did see an employee remove moldy ones so thats a good sign. Their bakery department also had some tasty cakes that were decorated nicely. They offer freshly made cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and sweet treats. Good place to grab sweets! Had an uncomfortable time here. Accidentally bought the wrong Dino nuggets and went back to exchange them for the right ones same day. Return policy states 30 days, the nuggets were unopened. An older rude cashier with short gray hair told us to "make sure we grab the right ones next time" and to "look closer" because they can't put them back out. I am a frequent shopper but I am noticing decline in customer service more and more When I asked for had sanitizer one employee did not even check and said they are out of them . If he took some time and checked he would have found them . At the cash register the assigned employee is busy talking while another employee is giving them a shoulder massage . I love this grocery store. The employees are always smiling. The bakery and deli always have fresh items (especially the fried chicken). Their meat selection is very fresh at this supermarket and the produce is very shiny, ripe and looking delicious. Stater Brothers has a Red Box movie rental machine, a Coinstar machine, a Lottery machine and a Schools First Credit Union ATM onsite. Went on a Sunday as I always do, all registers open lines down the isles and baggers were at the 15 item or less lanes. No one was helping the check stand that had large orders. I had 4 people in front of me and I waited 15 minutes because checker was cashiering and bagging. The most upsetting thing was I saw 1 manager standing by check stands doing nothing and one walking where long lines were and did nothing. read more

I went this week I think Tuesday Aug 15 around 4:40pm I was in line and I was very diasppointed and disgusted by the behavior of a very old cashier shes probaly in her 60s. After an ebt customer left she the cashier made negative comments saying if she could afford tattos she should be able to afford groceries. She does not even know if the customer is shopping for someone else, if the customer has a disability that not visible. Yesterday I was buying some meat and a young man named Angelo behind the counter was so polite and helpful. It was my first interaction with him, and I wanted to give a shout-out. Stopped by to get some groceries and a quick dinner after getting off work tired. The lemon pepper seasoned salmon fillets, looked delicious. When getting home I grabbed a piece to put in the air fryer and a cold stiff fly smothered in between. I shouldn't have to drive back, such an inconvenience. First off walking in it was clean and staff was beyond friendly, however I especially want to shout out Celeste from the deli. I was with my baby in my arms and he was a bit fussy and when asking for deli items she was more than happy to assist and give me fresh food. I appreciate it beyond words, as I have encountered many Stater Bros deli from Riverside and her customer service was by far the best. She was not only helpful, but she was very sweet doing so. Every single person in the store went out of their way to say hi and if I needed any help. I could not find any AU JUS for my prime rib that I just purchased. The meat department working in the back to see if they had any extra a clerk on the floor by the name of miracle she helped and especially Warren. He went out of his way I don't even know what aisle he found it on but a special little bottle of Johnny's AU jus. This Stater Brothers needs a new day Manager. I watched as the lines grew long before other cashiers opened and then instead of taking the next people already in line, they helped new people who just arrived to the line. Next my line backed up because there were not enough baggers. The poor cashier was trying to bag and check out. They clearly need to either manage schedules better or hire more people. This is my go to store, but if this continues, I will start going to Vons instead. read more

Store always looks like there's a party about to happen. What I can say is that they do very well in keep their shelves stocked and promote new items like red velvet Oreo cookies. Literally I only come here for my peanut butter ice cream, rotisserie chicken, or Redbox. One time I picked up some alcohol for the college kids; found some tilapia filets; couple times for Stater Brothers brand imitation of Dawn dishwashing liquid - it works just the same. But I go in, get what I want, and leave... Very routine. Simple interaction between myself and the cashiers. I don't strike up a lot of conversation with them; maybe sometimes a funny laugh. Very cool people. They've always asked how I am, did I find what I needed, if I want paper or plastic, and greet me a good day or goodnight. At the checkout stand, the cashier asked if I'd like a bag...I said sure, I'll take 1. The lady an older caucasian woman (maybe 55 or so) obviously didn't hear me and says to me, "Was that a yeah, no...maybe so!" I looked at her for a second attempting to compose myself before I disrespected an elder, and simply replied yes please. I should have gotten her name but needed to get out of there before I verbally injured her. As I was leaving I turned around to look at her and found her staring me down. This did not sit well with me. Moments before being checked out as I'm standing in line, I overheard an older hispanic couple asking a young caucasian male worker there if he knew where the bean dip was. The worker let them know that he did not know the location of the item and kept going. They asked a younger causcasian female who was standing at the end cap of the isles across from the checkout stands the same question. Her response to them was, "didn't you just ask him?". I'm not sure what's wrong with the people that work at the store but it feels like they clearly do not like minorities. The trip of all of this is it's a predominantly Hispanic area. If you don't like the people that shop in the place that you work... maybe you shouldn't work at that place. read more

The meat department employee was super rude and had me waiting for about 7 minutes before I was acknowledged. In the same visit, the cashier was rude, was cursing and joking with another employee that seemed to be on a break. I wasn't asked if I needed a bag for my items, was charged for a bag, and I told her I already had a bag. She just said "oh" and stared at me. This isn't the first time these employees have been unprofessional and rude. Staters employees have progressively gotten worse throughout the years. read more

I've been coming to this Stater Bros since the day they 1st opened their doors. In fact, this corner was an empty lot before it became the shopping center it is; YEAR'S before Ralphs even came into the neighborhood across the street. I watched Staters Bros being built along with Longs Drug Store (which I still miss terribly). I must say that this store has gone way downhill in every possible way. Everytime they hire new people, I cringe coming back to shop because these employees seem like they could care less. The quality of their produce is horrible. It is not as fresh as it used to be. Sometimes the cilantro is wilted & turning black. Yuck. I went grocery shopping yesterday & purchased some peaches that were on sale for .99 / lb. They looked so yummy! I took them home, washed & began to eat one. I took one bite. It was tasteless & mealy, not sweet & juicy. It was like they stored the peaches in the freezer to keep them fresh for a longer shelf life. How disappointing! So I returned them back to Stater Bros tonight. I explained to the checker I would like to return these peaches I purchased yesterday. They are terrible. Who can help me with this. He replies I can pick whatever line I want, his or the 15 items or less line. You mean I have to get in line, behind all these people buying groceries, to return these peaches? Isn't there someone that can take care of this, like a manager? No, you will have to get in line so pick one, mine or hers. Wow how rude. I used to work for Vons when I was in high school & a manager or supervisor always took care of customer returns. We NEVER told them to get back in line & then we will help you. Yeah, that was pretty unbelievable. By the way, this was on a Monday night around 8pm & it was not crowded or busy, with 2 checkstands open; one regular & one express. So I chose the express lane obviously, & when it became my turn, it took maybe 3 min max, mostly because I wanted to inform the checker that the onions I bought yesterday were also bad. When I cut them in half, part of it was brown & rotting. One had black mold in it. I told her I did not bring those back because I needed them & used what I could salvage; just an FYI. I've had problems with their produce before & have never returned it only because it was of great inconvenience. It was still inconvenient for me to take the time & gas to make another trip, unnecessarily, but enough is enough. I'm not going to spend my hard earned money on inferior quality of food my family will not eat & end up throwing away. I'll be doing most if not all of my grocery shopping elsewhere, from now on. read more
