However, when he left, his partner Dick was terrible but even before that he was bad. He had my parts for three weeks once and didn't call me to tell me he had them and after Rom left, he wouldn't inspect my car for no good reason other than he didn't like me but Rom was the nicest guy in the world and could fix anything no matter how complex it was. Fast forward to the new owner Joe. My wife brought her car there and Joe gave her an estimate of $400.00 so she brought it somewhere else and they did it for a hundred bucks. I suspect that Joe had no previous experience in the auto repair business.

I've taken my old Subaru to his shop and after I purchase my new Volvo, I don't ever go to the dealership! I went here only because someone told me they were good, boy was that wrong. It took Bob 3 days…read morejust to diagnose a problem that took a reputable garage an hour, and a simple discount tire center a half day (we also actually told him what/where the issue was when dropping the vehicle off) From there my vehicle was held hostage for almost two full weeks, I was not allowed to remove it to bring to an honest, reputable garage. In the end, the job was finally finished after blowing by numerous deadlines, intentionally ignoring my phone calls, and even rudely walking away when I showed up in person. The bill was significantly higher than what was originally quoted, and more than double the going rate and what an actual reputable garage was going to charge. Work that takes way longer than it should, combined with overpriced and rude service tell me that this place is to be avoided at all costs. I would pay more to go elsewhere, but fortunately everywhere else will likely get things done quicker and cheaper.

He refused to speak to me and lowered the flat bed right where I was standing, narrowly missing my feet. Insults during the ride to Doc's Auto Body in Haverstraw were nothing compared to the realization after I was safely in Kingston that he had charged me $20 more than stated on the invoice. The total is $201 just for the tow. Three phone calls failed to correct this mistake. I am 82 but even a youngster shouldn't be subjected to this mistreatment. The only issue I had was his office person was not in on the day I was to return so my two phone calls got no answer.
