State Farm has a lot of reviews and rates one star! Wow! I thought it was just a bad State Farm Agent that turned me off. I had State Farm for years and years insuring both my home and cars. They gave me a package deal. I had safe drivers discounts too. At work I received a lot of training in money management. My employer wanted to be sure we had enough for retirement. So after having training about savings on car insurance I approached my agent to remove unnecessary coverage. It was at this time things got ugly. I ended up canceling my insurance and going with another company that was much easier on my wallet while still providing the coverage required by law. I wouldn't use them again unless they have changed their ways.

Roadside assistance service is the worse. I cancelled my policy due to the lack of respect for my time. I waited five hours and counting. I have phone records and text messages to show how much not valued as a customer. read more

I do not have State Farm Insurance (for which I am very grateful) but had a claim against them when a State Farm insured driver totaled my car and I suffered an injury. It has been a nightmare getting them to respond to me. I call or e-mail, and never receive a response until I have followed up at least twice, so it is typically four or five days before they respond. When they do finally respond, it is usually to inform me that they are missing one more piece of information (they never manage to tell me everything they need the first or even the second time). Or they tell me that they "outsource" that part of the process and have no control over when it will be complete. I have finally settled, but when the check arrived and I took it to the bank (five days after the date of the check) I was told that the funds "had not yet been released" by State Farm. I don't know how anyone can get away with issuing a check for which funds are not available. If I did that, the bank would return the check and charge me a fee. When State Farm does it, it is apparently acceptable and I just have to keep going back to the bank until funds are finally there - because of course I can't get a response from my claim processor about when funds will be available. read more

I have been a customer of State Form for the last 16+ years with my current car and even more years with other cars. I recently had an accident where someone ran into the side of my car. Of course he was supposed to have insurance with State Farm with his father. Nope! That is the beginning of my nightmare!!!!!! I am in the process of constructing correspondence to be sent to the Corporate office in hope that someone there will read it. What I have had to go through because of this accident, which was not my fault, is very disturbing. I wish that I had never started anything with State Farm concerning this accident. The "claim team" leaves a lot to be desired to say the least! There is nothing customer friendly about them! read more

0n May 18, 2022 my daughter's car was parked at her high school. It was hit by a State Farm Customer. I do NOT and will never have State Farm Insurance. I called the State Farm Claims number. The representative informed me that I can only use their facilities to file a claim. I informed the representative that I didn't want to use their facilities. The representative then informed me that I could down load their app and take pictures of the damages myself. The pictures could only come through their downloaded app. I informed the representative that I was uncomfortable with that as well. I asked could I email them an estimate of the cost to repair the car. They informed me that I only had 2 choices down load the app or use their provider. Otherwise they would not honor the policy. I think that is unfair. This means that I now must get the estimate and sue the owner in small claims court. I am very displeased with State Farms' service. read more

I really love State Farm and have had them for 20+ years. What I can't stand (and I will be happy to change my review to 5-stars if and when this changes) are their terrible proof of insurance cards. I actually dread getting them in the mail due to the amount of effort to get them separated along the perforations on the paper template they come on. Despite my best efforts, I always tear them. There has to be a better way they can provide these. THIS IS THE ONE THING that people keep and identify their brand with. They spend so much money on marketing that no one pays attention to. People pay attention to these cards. I have actually thought about changing insurance companies just because of these dumb cards (but I worry I will get the same thing from another insurance company). C'mon SF, make an investment in your brand and and your clients. read more

i have been trying to file a roof claim since december of last year. used the roofing company my agent recommended who found hail damage. took pictures and sent them to the claim adjuster who was in flordia. denied claim without looking at roof himself or sending a local adjuster out. later tells us to wait until the following year, file another claim and it would be approved. filed another claim for additional damage again denied. . second claim filed and basically the same thing. except more hail damage was done they wont acknowledge it. everyone i have dealt with at this company is hateful, condesending and just short of saying your screwed and a liar here is the deal- customer service is the cheapest most effective form of advertisement. it can make or break you. if you have outstanding service the customer will share with family friends etc. bad customer service and the customer will tell anyone who will listen and then some. if this is the face of state farm that is presented you people have a gigantic problem. i will be telling everyone on every platform possible. state farm- the insurance that will screw you upside down sideways and everyother way they can. read more

So, I and my extended family have been insured by State Farm insurance since before I was born, I am 52. My personal family have been insured with state farm for the most of our marriage, 30 years. Consistently now for at least 22 yrs. The last 2 years have been bad for us and cars. My wife has been hit-and-run twice, my daughter was T boned in an intersection, I was hit by another driver and my son's car was stolen and then recovered before claim was made, but repairs were needed. Now after hundreds of thousands of premium dollars paid, State farm is no longer going to renew our policy. The majority of the reasons given by State Farm, they did not pay for, or, the claim was a not at fault claim. Granted, some were, but over 20 years. My wife had one ticket in 2018, and a hand full of comp claims and roadside assistance. Which is so funny. Road side is a big selling point, but "you can't really use it, or we will not renew." So many times I have been asked who do you recommend for insurance. Never again will I say State farm. Oh how far from the tree has this company fallen. read more

Here it is July 10, 2020 & my rear end accident that happened on 06/19/2019 by a negligent State Farm driver has still NOT BEEN PAID. They attempted to cheat me & sent me a check for less than 1/3 of their own estimate. I refused it & sent it back. They refuse all communication & do not return calls or written demands. The ACTUAL State Farm Address they refer me to IS Atlanta GA., NOT Bloomington. The guy handling my complaint is Brian James from Arizona. State Farm makes you route EVERYTHING THRU ATLANTA. Brian James Phone # 480-842-3018 says he does NOT HAVE A FAX??? An insurance company with NO FAX? Really? They force you to go to OUT OF STATE OFFICES & NOT California Claims Offices. read more

Well after over 15 years of being insured with the State farm company I will be dropping them , if I could give zero Stars I would , I was driving down the road when a lady pulled out and hit the whole side of my car including rim and rear tire, they gave the collision shop a hard time about wanting to replace the finish on the rim, they finally approved that but they won't pay for a tire that cost almost $400, it's got a few huge chunks of rubber out of it , they are trying to tell me it's from being curbed , this car has very low miles , never been parked on a curve or near a curb and hand wash every week , I told the guy I'm pretty sure I would know if them rims and tires were messed up by now , they still refuse to replace the tire sticking to oh the curb did it , so unfortunately once the car is fixed I will be dropping State farm , it's a $70,000 sports car and I keep it in mint condition, I don't even take it out in the rain or the snow , I just think it's plan ridiculous , I wish you could post pictures on here read more

Was pretty happy with State Farm until recently. 30 years home and auto. 4 cars insured. Recently had some bad luck. 2 of us had accidents and of course total losses. 20 year old cars aren't going to be paid for to fix. Next thing you know non-renewal letters. 30 years!!!! No claims!!!! 2 accidents and we are suddenly high risk. What a joke!!! Nice loyalty to long standing good customers. Never a late payment! 30 years!!! Never will go back. Crap!! What a slap in the face!!! read more

T-boned by a client of state farm. I was found 0% liable by both the police and my insurance company. Found 10% at fault by STATE FARM bc "according to Google maps, you should have seen him".. mind you I was on a major route crossing from NH into MA doing approx 35-40 mph. He was coming out of a side street. When I called to question the 10%, the person was nasty. I asked for a supervisor, she refused. I asked again, "ma'am we are the supervisors of the claims department. I will not transfer you". I asked flat out, so you mean to tell me you are the end all be all of this entire company and there is not a single superior I can speak with? "I will not transfer you" This went on for quite a while. Aside from all of that claims adjuster BS, I logged in to look at the claim. Under police report, "NOT REQUESTED". Are you kidding me? It's because the report proves the 87 yr old man that admitted to hitting me is 100% liable. So great knowing you can be driving home, get t-boned out of no where and be found 10% liable because some guy at this company looked at Google maps and the insurance company refuses to acknowledge a submitted police report. read more

StateFarm is horrible! I've had a claim for storm damage since December of 2018 and still don't have complete funding for damages from StateFarm! Their adjuster has been releasing my contractor verbally without documentation and now they're telling me the claim is above their approval and has to go to their corporate office for approval. It's been four weeks and still waiting on approval while my house continues to degrade. We are out of the house in temporary housing due to the damage and we were almost kicked out because StateFarm promised to pay and didn't until I called up the management chain! They will never get my insurance business again! They're claim service is horrible!! read more

We have been with State Farm for many years, all vehicles and homes. I have a ongoing issue with raccoon and squirrels getting into my attic. We did a temp fix on it but she (raccoon) ripped it open again, I called State Farm on it to possibly file a claim since my attic is a disaster and my soffit and roof has issues., they told me they don't cover raccoons anymore and that they only cover black bear and deer. Hmmm ok how? What? I just saw an news article that an elderly woman just went thru this same thing with State Farm! They don't tell you when they policy change, and this is a huge policy change! I'm sorry but I think the agent or someone from State Farm should contact their customer who pay good money for coverage you can't even use!!! State Farm has gone into toilet. My fault yes for not reading fine print thru my WHOLE policy but how many do? I'm shopping for different carrier, one that will actually cover your home when it's needed! If I could give 0 stars I would! read more

Peoples please be careful when selecting a insurance company. This is one of the worst experience me and my husband has to go threw. We currently have State Farm auto and renters insurance and have been with them for around seven years now. Up until last summer we never really had anything much to say about them good or bad, we hadn't filed any claims or had any issues. They did raise our auto insurance slightly due to some speeding tickets that I admit were completely my own fault, so it was understandable. However, this past summer was when I actually realized how terrible of an auto insurance company they actually are. In August I was stopped at a red light and was rear-ended by a driver in one of those heavy duty Dodge Ram trucks who was going about 45-50mph. He hit me so hard, I was pushed into the car in front of me. I filed a claim with State Farm immediately mainly because I needed them to send a tow truck to have my car removed from the scene. The driver was insured by Progressive and assumed fault for the accident at the scene, I assumed that since State Farm was my insurance company and I was clearly not the at-fault party that State Farm would basically just take care of everything on my behalf. I was completely wrong, other than sending the tow truck State Farm did absolutely nothing whatsoever. I went ahead and personally contacted the at-fault driver's insurance company (Progressive) to file a claim, some friends of mine strongly suggested that I do that, and I also had a feeling that the driver wasn't planning on filing a claim since we had not called the police to come out to the scene at the time (I had however filed an accident report with the local police). The day following the accident I was contacted by the insurance company ( I think it was Allstate) of the driver that I was pushed into as she had, of course, filed a claim as well. And they informed me that they felt all fault was with the driver of the Dodge truck and they would be going after him, and they basically gave me a list of things that they suggested I make sure that my insurance company does for me (incredibly helpful right). So of course after this phone call I wanted to know what State Farm was actually doing for me; when they were going to come get my car to take to the repair shop or at the very least send out an adjuster to look at it. So I contacted State Farm, only to find out that they had not done anything they opened a claim, that was it. No one had been assigned to the claim, no one was looking into it, no one was contacting the at-fault driver's insurance company on my behalf, nothing. I ended up having back pains and needing to go to the hospital when I contacted State Farm to make them aware of this they said "oh, okay we will make a note of that" and that was it, I don't think they made a note of it. On the few occasions that I contacted State Farm or checked the claim status online; nothing had been done, no one was assigned to the claim, no one was looking at the claim. However fortunately for me, I had gone and filed that claim with the at-fault driver's insurance company Progressive. And surprisingly they were extremely helpful, within a matter of days after the accident they contacted me to let me know that their driver was completely at fault and that they would be settling my claim as soon as they had finished with some paperwork and a few other things, and when I let them know that their insured driver was sending me harassing text messages, they assured me that they would put a stop to that right away. I let them know that I had gone to the doctor as a result of the accident and they immediately sent over a release so that they could get that information from the doctor and pay my medical bills. They arranged for me to have a rental car (that they paid for), while they determined what it was going to take for my car to be repaired. I had constant communication with the claims adjuster from Progressive via phone and e-mail, to the point where I felt that we actually had a personal connection. Isn't that a feeling that I should have been having about my own insurance company? It wasn't. From start to finish it took about a month for Progressive to resolve my claim August to September. I stopped contacting State Farm around the 3rd or 4th week after the accident because at that point it was apparent that they were not intending on doing anything on my behalf to resolve this claim. Sometime in December, I saw online that State Farm had closed my claim, State Farm never called me, emailed me or contacted me in any way to give me any kind of update on my claim or even request information. The only contact I had with them were the 3 or so occasions that I went out of my way to contact them personally. To say that I HATE State Farm really doesn't even begin to explain how I really feel about them read more

I was with Allstate from 1991 to 2013. When I came to Texas I tried State Farm as my auto and house insurance which is from 2013 to 2016. It will be way too long for me to write here why I left State Farm for a short period of time compare with Allstate. If I have stayed with State Farm I will have a heart attack. At that time I was with State Farm my age was between 66 and 69. I should have reported it as an elderly abuse. Anyway, I thought I will not encounter again with State Farm since I left but oh my I did again! April 4th, 2019 a girl ram my car while it was parked by the side of the street at my house. I normally do not park it by the street but I have too cause I have a single driveway and I was cleaning it. There was training this day if anybody wants to volunteer to help the police so I missed this. My car was declared totaled. Again it will be too long to write it here why I gave State Farm one STAR. State Farm has devoured my tolerance, money and abusing me as an elderly. Now I am 73, therefore, this time I will report State Farm to elderly abuse. Yesterday I called State Farm customer service. A male answered by the name of Pierre ( I think he told me this is how to spell his name). I asked for the phone number of the headquarter. He asks me why and I said I have a complained otherwise I will complain to TDI. I was surprised he did not know what is TDI :0 Anyway, maybe he quick googles what is TDI cause he asks me what is my complaint. I told him my complaint and I can tell he was shocked so he finally connected me to headquarters after my long explanation to him my complaint. This time it is a woman but I can not remember her name. I have to explain again my lengthly disappointed of State Farm very lousy service whether we are their client or not. Thank God that the phone got disconnected after I have told her the long story of my disappointment. I have given to Pierre my phone number. Good service especially if they can call outbound should be asked the phone number of whoever they are talking too so if it gets disconnected they can call back. I called customer service again and I was put on hold with music. It was getting dark and I want to water my flower bed hand holding the water hose while I hold the telephone on my other hand. I got tired waiting if anybody going to answer plus my ear got tired of listening to the music. The woman I was talking to at headquarters I was shocked that she did not know either what is a TDI for. :0 I wonder if my lengthy explanation of my complaint to customer service and headquarters it will just be ignored. Since the telephone got disconnected and she did not even call me back this made me wondered. I have given my phone number to Pierre. END of my review. My review is a lot of suspense. If you really want to know what happened then it will be at TDI. Here's their website. https://www.tdi.texas.gov/index.html As much as I do not want to have my complaint to be in public but when I feel my complaint is just going to be ignored then that is when I do so. Not only my complaint will be at TDI but also will be at BBB, etc. Maybe even on FB! read more

I have been having the worst experience ever with my claim on my home. I have had someone out to my house on six different occasions for ice damning and storm damage that occurred to my roof and to the inside of my home. This has been going on since February. Every time an adjuster comes out, they acknowledge that I have more damage but only add a minimal amount to my claim. They want me to pay up front to have my roof torn apart as well as walls opened up just so they can come again to assess my damage another time. So much for being a loyal customer of twenty two years. Do yourself a favor and use a different insurance company. State Farm is only focused on using athletes for their commercials instead of fixing people's homes safely and up to code. I also have the extra coverage to cover putting my house up to code and they still are giving me a hard time. I'd give a 0 score if I was allowed to. read more

I've been with State Farm for nearly 20 years and can no longer recommend them. In Sept. 2016 I was rear ended by a 20-something in a Corolla who was on his cell phone and then fled the scene. My 1997 Acura Integra in near showroom condition was totaled. (It had even been a car show the year before.) I also had just had the engine rebuilt ($3700), and had a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on the work. I was told by the claims adjuster who did the initial estimate on my car that the cost of the engine rebuild would be pro-rated because of the 12 month warranty. To make a long story short, the claims associate refused to pro-rate the money I spent on the engine rebuild. This month (April), a shopping cart struck my driver's side door in a parking lot and I called State Farm to file a claim. The person I talked to told me the damage would be covered under comprehensive (I have $0 deductable on my comprehensive) and I made arrangements to take the car to a body shop State Farm recommended. When I took my car to the body ship and started filing out their paperwork, I discovered that State Farm had switched the claim from comprehensive ($0 deductable) to collision ($500 deductable) and I would owe the body shop $500 for the repairs. State Farm didn't even have the courtesy to tell me this in advance. When I called the claims associate assigned to my claim, I was told that shopping carts are considered vehicles because they have 4 wheels so the claim would come under collision (even though I had been previously told it would be covered under comprehensive). I checked CA law which states: "A "vehicle" is a device by which any person or property may be propelled, moved, or drawn upon a highway, excepting a device moved exclusively by human power or used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks." Since a shopping cart cannot be operated on a highway and moves exclusively under human power, it's not a vehicle under CA law. I have an absolutely wonderful agent and will be sad to lose her, but I'm switching to Amica as soon as this claim is settled. read more

Here's another story of "been with State Farm for years, but they done me wrong". After being a customer for 15 years, I added two more cars to the policy. The rates for the new cars were much more expensive than the vehicle currently on the policy. When I questioned my agent, she said that State Farm discounts rates after you've had a car for 3, 5, 7 years. It doesn't matter that you've been a long term customer, the used vehicles are "new" to State Farm. So in spite of my long term relationship with the company, I had to spend time researching comparable rates. Short version: State Farm rates for the new cars to a policy were 44 to 50% higher than the competitors; and other companies do not do the "charge high now, meager discount later" nonsense. I'm sure it's been said before, but thanks for being such a good neighbor, State Farm. read more

ohhh, State Farm, ya left yourself open for this one! "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there." Uh Huh!? Heres some simile action forya. I once had a neighbor, with whom I had an "agreement" with. If I watched, and fed, their pets for the 13 days they were on vacation, everyday, at 7pm, and remembered to lock the door when I left, they would pay me $200 for my services--but if i missed a day, or didnt go feed the pets until 8pm, I would not get the $200 agreed upon. And so, I kept my end of the agreement, feeding my neighbor's pets everyday at 7pm and locking the door when I left, as instructed in the agreement. When my "neighbors" returned from vacation, I went over to visit them and collect our agreed upon, $200. Except, even though I did what I needed to do on my end of the agreement, these "good neighbors" tried to low-ball me and only pay me $125 for my services while they were on vacation; even though they were well aware that I had lived up to my end of the agreement exactly as stated. Which brings me back to State Farm. A corporation ("neighbor") that I once had an "agreement" with. If I paid my insurance premium for my motor vehicle, on time, in full, every month, then I would be "covered", should anything happen to my vehicle under the agreement. And so, like with my "bad neighbor" whose pets I fed, when it came time for my so-called "good neighbor" State Farm, to live up to their end of our agreement....what did this "neighbor" do?? LOW-BALL ME exactly how my BAD NEIGHBOR did, even though THEY got what THEY intended to get from me....my premium payment, on time every month. Bottom line: State Farm, you are a terrible neighbor! I will never feed your pets when you go on vacation again! And I hope that tree on my property that you always complain about comes crashing down on your vehicles! Good luck collecting YOUR end of the agreement! Your "best neighbor ever", Seven read more

I have been insured by State Farm since I was 16. That's 32 years and I have had two rather small claims in 32 years. Then I got robbed at my office (while I was there) and the thief took my car keys, my purse, and my laptop. When I called to report the loss and make a claim they told me that my car replacement keys would be under my car deductible. My purse and its contents would be under my house deductible and my laptop would be under my business deductible. Then they treated me like the criminal, not the victim. They were horrible to me! After all that they paid me nothing for replacement as everything went "towards my deductible". What a scam. I REALLY HOPE THAT SOMEBODY AT THE CORPORATE READS THIS REVIEW. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by this location. I called about a claim and a guy, (I wish I wrote down his name) was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I talked to the claim manager, Janis Lancaster, few days later I understood why. She was just as rude as her employee. If that was not enough, she had a very angry attitude. I really hope that this company offers anger management courses to employees. If you are reading this as a potential customer interested in State Farm, do not, I repeat DO NOT get your insurance with State Farm. If I could give 0 stars, believe me, I would. I requested a tow, and I was told that I would receive it in an hour and a half, but it ended up not coming until four hours later. When the tow truck driver came, he barely spoke to me before getting my car on the tow (he said he had the report from State Farm & knew what was wrong with the car) and proceeded to move off and my tire flew off. I've called State Farm countless times, been hung up on by three people on the phone, was told I would receive half of the extra $55 I was charged for the tow (which I never received). I'm currently looking at new insurance companies because this is absolutely unacceptable. The people who work the phones are in dire need of training because half don't know what they're talking about, while the other half are rude for no reason. Why should I pay hundreds of dollars to a company that literally does not care about me as a customer?? DO NOT GET STATE FARM!! read more

Been a customer for over 25 years. Had 1 small claim. Finally went on vacation and while were gone the water line burst @ my house. Thank goodness I have "good neighbors" who turn off the water. Call state farm and file a claim, because like a "good neighbor" State Farm is there. From the minute I talk to my agents office they are already in "deny" mode. It then takes 2 days to get the claim number. Claims dept calls and is deny mode as well. Day 5 claim denied. No one from State Farm is there for me. I would doubt they will be there for you. I had always recommended friends and family to State Farm but that is over unless they have a change of heart. Very sad way to treat a long time customer. I feel sorry for the people who work their that have to support anti-customer policies. Agent calls me back, so sorry but basically - tough luck. Good luck somewhere else. read more

State Farm is one of the worst companies for home insurance. We have hail damage from a storm that happened in April 2020. State Farm has come out and told me there was no hail on that day. I was home and personally saw all the hail come down. Then Another tech comes out to look at it and refuses to take pictures of the hail damage that my PA shows and instead takes pictures from the non storm side of the house. Then they told me that there was some damage to the roof shingles and it needs to be repaired. We have a double layer of shingles so no builder will come out and repair it because it could cause more leaks. Next, we find that repairing shingles on a double layer of roof is against building code. State Farm counters that by saying the damaged area does not require a building permit and therefore can be repaired even though it goes against code. So we do what they ask and try and locate a roofing company. We have had at least 4 building companies tell us the roof cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. We call State Farm and they tell us that they have reviewed the complaint and are finished looking at it. The roof is still damaged and now I am getting water spots in my attic roof. They told me that it is my fault that happened and I should have fixed the roof. I remind them that I have been trying for the past year and they just say that they can no longer help me. This is State Farm, never there when you need them. read more

End result of paying premium insurance no better than fly by night companies. In the end they terminate you if they have to pay. After 20+ years of unconditional support and more than 15 personal and business policies they need to "mitigate" their losses by selectively viewing a 5 year occurrence of claims versus 20+ years and cancel me. They are no better than the politicians they serve. Integrity and value are no longer who they are, numbers and actuaries determine your value. If you seem like a risk, expect to get cancelled on predictions of fantasy and not factual data. I am glad for Yelp as an outlet to let others know what they are buying and to put true opinions out there. What makes a fair or good business great is what they do what is right to keep and maintain your business, it used to be the American way. read more

After over 30 yrs with State Farm, they have cancelled our homeowners policy. Why? Because we had 3 claims in 5 yrs, all weather damage. Like I can tell Mother Nature to stop the hail, wind or lightening. We've had them for our cars, boats, campers, homes and renter policies since we were 15 yrs old. Never missed a payment. So, if they won't keep our homeowners, they won't be getting anymore of our vehicles. read more

As many of you know, my car was hit on Halloween at the Malls drive through trick or treat thing. The other person went through a stop sign and hit me. They told State Farm that even though it was heavy traffic and bumper to bumper that I was flying so they couldn't avoid hitting me. Any one who was there knows that "flying" wasn't possible that day. Because they claim I was and without proof, no witnesses, no radar, no police report, State Farm said they will take the word of their insured. They have not reached out to me or talked to me even once. They have not asked me to provide a statement to them. Without having done any of this, they are claiming I am liable at 20% for negligence for excessive speeds. When I and my insurance company said we wanted a managers review of it they claim they don't have managers review anything. What the adjuster decides is what stands. She then informed us that if we wanted to complain we could to the department of insurance. Well I am. That's my next stop. StateFarm you should be ashamed. That's not good business practices at all. read more

State Farm is Tragically-corrupt, and dishonest. I started doing comparisons online in mid-October. I got a quote of something in the neighborhood of $40 or $50 dollars from State Farm. I called in to the Agent, and She said That'll be $200+ (Almost just Shy of $300.) I said there Seems to be quite a disconnect between what I was Quoted, and what you're Trying to Charge me...and, I don't think there is any way even to Bridge the gap, because you are just too high. She said "Wait a minute, Sir. There seems to be a problem with my Computer system, that is just the numbers that it Autofills-in. I was within milliseconds of hanging-up. We eventually did, however, get it down to $67. She still had all kinds of junk coverages, I had Never asked for, that she threw-in. I was happy (Sorta) with the $67 dollar rate. A few days later, I asked why we had the Uninsured/underinsured coverages on there, If I had never asked for them. I also Asked, why the Property portion was Raised without my consent, on Each of the Cars. She said she will remove the UM, and have it backdated to the Beginning of the policy, as it Should be. I said great, Thanks!! Weeks went by, and I kept asking, about the UM being on there. She said Fine, it has been taken off and I backdated it. That never happened. I called in for weeks, kept asking why it's Still on there. Nothing happened. This, After I was told it was *ALREADY* Removed!! If it is already removed, why, then, is my rate exactly the same? It didn't make sense. She stopped answering my Calls. Such a Simple request, right? Messages to her State Farm portal were Never answered. So, I emailed her repeatedly, over the course of eight weeks, 'No Response'. "Like a good neighbor, state farm is there." I also left Voicemails, which were Never returned. No email was returned. No phone call or message was Returned. Complete Radio Silence. Why, then, is is so Impossible to remove coverages that I had Never Requested, and explicitly said I didn't Want?!? She Constantly Tried to Upsell me. That was before she Stopped talking to me. Constantly. On Everything. She Added Stuff to my Homeowners' policy, Also, without my Permission. Things that I also didn't want, and had never requested. I Figured-out, that I would have Better Luck, in communicating with Another of her Staff. This worked good, for a Little While. They had me send them back these forms to Reject UM (Why, do I even need to Sign these, in the first place?) Okay, sent them back immediately, and she said she's get them over to Underwriting, and they'd remove them from All cars, and once again I was promised, in Writing, that it would be Backdated back to the beginning of the Policy. Well, you guessed it, That never happened, and, Once again, I was Left with Empty Promises. AGAIN; Days turned into Weeks, Weeks Turned into Months. And, I'm back at Calling them up Again and doing My Own Following up... for Them. It turns-out, it was Never applied. Now, my premiums went up by an Astounding 50% ...maybe This is retaliation?!? Why not went down, why went Up?!? A Marked 50% Increase, This, despite the Fact that I *Literally* am not Driving *any* of my Cars, Just in time for the Holidays state farm decides to rip us Off. Great! No Explanation was Given. We believe, She 'deliberately' Sabotaged our Premiums, so that she could get a Hefty Commission. At the Expensive, or her Own customer! Merry Christmas. A second Agent's Office, asked for the Same Forms, and Supposedly Sent them in. STILL** no change, after two months of Fighting this! Wait, after numerous More inquiries, I'm told that they Selectively-applied the UM to Just one Car....my cheapest Car! Ha! How do you Like that? I submitted the Forms for All three cars, at the exact same time, to numerous Agents, and what do I get? A partial decrease, on just One car! What! WHY?!? no backdating, STILL, to Speak of. This makes zero sense, why they would do This. Well, it Does, if you think State Farm is Just out to Scam people for the holidays. I called-in to State Farm, on the 17th of December. The representative that Answered sounded so Incredibly Supremely annoyed that I had bothered her. This, is before I explained any of the Details! She listened to my Complaint, and Said she'd get me Right-over to an Agent who would help me, and we cold, Finally, get some of these Issues resolved. "Click!" Call dropped, with a thud. This, apparently, was Deemed a 'successful' resolution phone call, by State Farm. I was given an opportunity to leave feedback on the Call, after this Disconnection which I previously had Opted-in to. I left all 1-Stars, since the agent Really didn't Help me at all. ...Nobody ever Reached-out to me on this. Merry Christmas To date, State Farm has never Once honored the Terms of all of their written, legal documents. They have not held up oral Promises. Or emails in Writing, from Multiple Agents). We never got any of this promises. Nothing, Just Lies. read more

9-10-2014 YOU ARE THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH State Farm!!!! I have been a loyal customer for almost 10 years, and the way you have treated me during these past 3+ months is DISGUSTING! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES! I was in a horrible accident on May 29th that caused STRUCTURAL damage to my BRAND new vehicle. State Farm was told by the collision shop that was doing my repairs that under Nevada State Law this vehicle has to be TOTALED! State Farm said "WE DONT CARE WHAT THE LAW SAYS AND TO FIX IT!" Now during the repairs we have found out that my vehicle has a bad wire harness and computer and has the possibility of catching on FIRE! Still you harass the collision shop and say " NOW YOU NEED TO BRING IT TO A CAR DEALERSHIP TO GET A SECOND DIAGNOSTICS TEST DONE" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Do you think this is a GAME?!? So now the harassment continues and the car was towed to a dealership due to the fact that it is not drivable because there is a chance it can catch on FIRE! Now the dealership does the diagnostics test and the results are the SAME! Now not only does the dealership say this car needs to be totaled, but several of YOUR adjusters, my attorney as well as the collision shop has said this REPEATEDLY, but yet you have the audacity to give the green light to have my car torn a part to put in a new wire harness and computer system! OH DID I FORGET TO MENTION THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY PUT IN OVER 10K for the repairs from the initial damages? Now we are at over 17k for the amount of damages, (WHICH IS OVER THE 65% OF THE ACV of the vehicle, by Nevada standards) and not only are you trying to put me back into an unsafe vehicle, but you are treating me as if my peace of mind does not matter and your little slogan of "YOU'RE MORE THAN A POLICY NUMBER" IS BULLCRAP! You have stressed me out to the max with this when this ordeal could have been taken care of in a matter of weeks not MONTHS! I HAVE BEEN IN A CAR RENTAL FOR 3+ MONTHS DUE TO YOU GOING BACK AND FORTH ON WHY MY CAR SHOULD NOT BE TOTALED. I have been harassed by Hertz Rental Car saying that the rental car is missing due to me having it for so long and they were going to have the police come after me and repo the rental car due to your prolonged unnecessary harassing process. GLAD TO SEE THAT YOU LIKE TO VIOLATE THE "INSURANCE FAIR CONDUCT ACT"!!!! YOU HAVE COST ME SO MUCH STRESS AND STRIFE OVER THIS ISSUE AND I WILL TELL ANY AND EVERYONE I KNOW WHAT A HORRIBLE INSURANCE COMPANY YOU ARE AND HOW YOU TREAT YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS! ***UPDATE 9-11-14 State Farm AND JOE HOOKER YOU ARE DISGUSTING PEOPLE! Do you enjoy harassing your customers and treating them like they are yo-yos? Do you enjoy putting them through psychological changes? How dare you call my attorney and dealership telling them at 9:54 am that you are FINALLY going to total my vehicle only to call back at 2:30 pm to say "OH NO ITS NOT GOING TO BE TOTALED BECAUSE WE ARE GOINGTO OPEN A SEPARATE CLAIM FOR THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES" ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW? This is how you are trying to weasel out of totaling a car by opening another claim? Have you gone BONKERS? What is wrong with you? I guess you just enjoy taking our hard earned money for our premiums only to screw us in the end huh?!? YOU ARE HORRIBLE AND DONT WORRY I WILL BE TAKING THIS TO ALLTHE NEWS CHANNELS HERE IN LAS VEGAS AND WILL BE REPORTING YOU TO THE BBB, FOR YOUR PRACTICES ARE SHADY, YOU JUST LOVE ADDING MORE STRESS TO MY LIFE HUH! YOU ARENT GOING TO STOP UNTIL YOU LAND ME IN THE HOSPITAL FROM ALL THIS STRESS YOU ARE CAUSING ME. I AM NOT A YO-YO, I AM A HUMAN BEING!!! Start acting like a company that cares about their customers instead of caring about YOURSELVES!!! read more

Avoiding Customer Service at all costs. My son was in my truck when hit by someone insured through State Farm. After several days of no contact, my insurance company asked me to contact State Farm directly because they would not return Progressives calls. When I finally reached someone after several attempts and hours on hold, I was informed that State Farm was waiting for a statement from my son and the police report before determining liability. Both statements were lies. There was no police report because this occurred on private property and State Farm made no attempt to contact my son or myself. After taking my sons statement (and another 40+ minutes on hold because they would not give a direct #) They assured my that it was their goal to determine the case as quickly as possible and they would contact me when that was ready. Several more days later, I fought through the hold line again to find that while they had all required information, they had not made a determination yet for unspecified reasons. The representative put me on hold again and finally accepted the liability because their insured driver had stated they had turned into my son who was already traveling in the lane! I used the repair shop they suggested for the estimate, and said I could make it another day or two without a vehicle because they assured me the process would be resolved quickly now that liability had been accepted. After receiving the estimate and hearing that the shop would be unable to make the repairs for over a month, I contacted State Farm again, who said they could pay the shop directly and set up a rental, for a month, if that was what I wanted to do. I said I needed to talk to the shop and see if there was a way to expedite the repair and gave State Farm the information to send a check to me. After talking to the shop, I decided to just have the estimate payed out and try and find a faster repair or a replacement vehicle. I called State Farm again and was told this was no problem and would be handled within 3 business days, as State Farm needed to verify no parts had been ordered by the shop before processing the payment. I canceled the rental as they now said they could not provide a rental if there was not a repair being made (though I have been without a car for almost 2 weeks). After 3 business days with no payment, no phone call, and nothing happening, I called back again and was told that I had never set up the payment, that the check was sent to the repair shop anyway, and that if I wanted to change anything I would have to wait 3 business days to allow State Farm to contact the shop and make sure no parts were ordered. I asked to speak to someone higher up, and was told they would initiate a request and that would take 48 hours. I am on day 17 without a car. State Farm, who has accepted liability, has NEVER contacted me. I am constantly misled, lied to and made to wait longer...as though I might just forget about the broken truck in my driveway as I walk by it on my way to walk wherever I need to go. IF you want to encourage slow, disrespectful, service that lacks basic integrity, you might consider using State Farm. If you ever need to be made whole by them and are not their customer, you should consider a lawyer from the start and save time. Worst insurance experience ever!!! read more

From March 18 to March 25, 2021 Dothan, Alabama had very bad weather which included multiple Tornadoes. My Agent Blake Guy and I have been trying to contact these people with no avail. As of today's date, April 12th, 2021 I still have not heard from neither Charles Smith nor Carey Remo (972)-657-2004. I have called continuously leaving message after message and neither have returned my call. I have even called supervisors, leaving them messages and still no one has bothered to return my call. State Farm also sent out their adjustor from Hancock Claims Consultants who stated that there was a lot of damages to the roof caused by the storms and that shingles are missing. I've gotten them several estimates and informed them that it continued to rain for the past few days, that my roof needed to be tarped. Not once have they given anyone the consent nor approval needed to get the repairs done to my home to prevent further damaging. The is now a foul mold and mildew spell in my home and they still have not sent anyone out to inspect it. Due to my medical conditions which outline asthma, having to use a c-pap and inhaler, the smell of the odor makes me sick to my stomach and interferes with my breathing. Finally they sent out Daniel from Servepro (334)-796-0768 who stated that his sense of smell was off, that his co-workers often asked him how he couldn't smell what everyone else could in a room. He was nonchalant about the smell about the mold and mildew smell within my home. Daniel from Servepro also stated that he was too big to crawl around in the attic to find the source of the smell. He only stood at the top of the stairs and looked around the garage area of the attic. Daniel's only concern was trying to get $800 from me to clean out my vents. Just like State Farm, these people only care about the money coming in. They do not care about what we are paying them to do. State Farm collects plenty of money from me every month from 10 different policies and is about to lose them all. The full repair of my roof and because of their lack of concern which caused the mold and mildew smell, to find the source of the mold and mildew smell and repair it as well. I am attaching the estimates to this complaint. My next step will be to seek legal counselling read more

Do NOT add their Roadside Assistance rider to the policy. Based on my agent's recommendation (Steve Goad), I chose to use State Farm's Roadside Assistance instead of AAA. Recently, my daughter hit a road hazard, that blew out two tires, so she needed a tow. She called State Farm Roadside Assistance thinking that they would tow the car, we would repair the tires and that would be the end of it. They sent Anytime Towing (Knoxville, TN). The driver refused to tow the unless State Farm authorized the tow, claiming that the incident had caused damage to the car. When she called State Farm back, some agent name Bryan refused to authorize the tow unless she opened a collision claim. Since she was stranded in an unsafe part of Knoxville, she had no choice but to open the claim. The tow truck then LEFT HER STRANDED because his contract with State Farm only covered roadside assistance, so State Farm had to call a different tow company. State Farm did not give the second company sufficient information so they send the wrong equipment, resulting in an additional delay getting her off the road. The driver of the second tow company (Western Towing) was exceptionally professional and concerned for my daughter's safety, but told us that he could not help us with roadside assistance because his contract only covered collision incidents. (It seems that State Farm uses its roadside assistance drivers to increase the number of collision claims for minor incidents) If our roadside assistance coverage had been with AAA instead of State Farm, there would not be an at-fault collision on my daughter's insurance record because I would have covered the cost of the two tires and alignment without making a claim and State Farm would never have known about the incident. Given that in the 5 years we have had the coverage, we have called for dead battery 3 times and a lockout 1 time. In all four instances, it took more than two hours to get assistance. In 3 of the 4 instances, I managed to resolve the problem before help arrived. If State Farm is a good neighbor, I'm moving to a new neighborhood! read more

State Farm Claims: Bad Faith in Action My recent experience with State Farm Claims exposes exactly why so many customers are fed up. My body shop repeatedly submitted documentation for additional approval, yet State Farm dragged its feet, waited until the end of the repair process, and refused to send out an estimator when serious damage was discovered under the paint. The adjuster, Mr. Hernandez, was completely intransigent. He ignored the realities of the repair, refused to pay for alignment, and flatly denied a modest $250 charge necessary to get the job done right. Instead, State Farm expected me to pay out-of-pocket. That's not indemnification--that's bad faith insurance practice. This isn't just my story. Reviews show State Farm Claims holding an F rating, and now I understand why. They refuse to pay fair wages to technicians, deny reasonable repair costs, and shift the burden to policyholders who already pay high premiums. The deeper truth is this: State Farm does not make indemnity central. Their goal is to save money for the guys at the top--like their fat president, Jon Farney--who only seems interested in getting fatter in his pocketbook while customers get cheated. It's important to note: I am not criticizing my local agency. This complaint is aimed squarely at the State Farm Claims Department, which seems more concerned with cutting corners than honoring contracts. And here's the bigger picture. The CEO of State Farm, Jon Farney, has donated thousands to the company's political PAC. While there's no evidence tying him directly to MAGA politics, customers deserve to know where leadership's priorities really are--because from the outside, it looks like profit and politics come before people. State Farm Claims has shown me, and many others, that they are not living up to their promises. Customers deserve accountability, not excuses. #StateFarm #BadFaith #InsuranceFraud #CustomerAbuse #AccountabilityNow #StateFarmClaims #InsuranceScam #PolicyholderRights #CorporateGreed #FightBadFaith #InsuranceAbuse #ConsumersDeserveBetter read more

This review is about the parent company Please share this with everyone you know. So here's my short story. I've been with State Farm for all my insurance needs for going on 20 years. In that time period there have been a couple of fender benders but most were not the fault of my family. In October my youngest got his license and promptly was cut off in a parking lot causing him to scrape another car. State Farm revoked his B average good driver discount and raised our insurance immediately instead of waiting until the rating period was over. Then in April Sean's car lost power on a downhill grade causing him to total it (2007 Pontiac G6). We explained the circumstances that caused it and requested their investigative unit check to see if his car SHOULD be on the GM ignition recall. They promised me a full report of the findings. A few weeks later they declared Sean at fault. And did not provide the investigative report. When I complained they finally sent it. After reviewing their report and discovering the magnitude of their investigative incompetence I filed a grievance with State Farm explaining the recall specifics to them as it was clear their investigator did not even read the recall to see what causes power failure. While waiting on them to review my claim the underwriting department informed my agent that effective July 1 we had to drop Sean from all our vehicles. At this point they had not even responded to my rebuttal. Here's where it gets really freaky!!! A few days ago they responded that based on the facts I presented regarding their investigation they have reversed their decision and declared Sean NOT at fault. I immediately contacted my agent to get the underwriting decision reversed. I was just informed that underwriting essentially does not care that the fault was reversed and they are refusing to reverse their decision. So State Farm can kiss my ASS!!! I will drop everything with them effective midnight June 30. They are definitely NOT a good neighbor. Buyer beware!!!!!! Please share this with everyone read more

It was not Jeremy's fault. In general State Farm is a horrible company. Now that my account is closed with State Farm I will say that my husbands truck was stolen, found, and it has taken 3 months to get the account settled. By settled, I mean completely 100% in State Farms favor. The claims handlers were so unhelpful, unintelligent, rude, and just not doing their jobs, EVER. We had zero communication through this entire process and we could never figure out why. My husband and I HAD to call them every other day to ever get any information from them and it was always another step that needed to be done, or that the company wasn't currently working on it. We pay our bill on time every month, have very standard information, and we were always misunderstood, never communicated with, never knew what was happening, and they simply didn't care to help us. You would think they would want to get the 3 month long claim our of their queue's but apparently not. No one ever would just help us. Why in the world would it take 3 months for a claim to get taken care of that was so simple? I have been wanting to get rid of State Farm for the last 2 months but were very afraid they would do something else to screw us over. I canceled today and we couldn't be happier to never work with this company again. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy because they simply DON'T care and are out for profit to the company 100%! I think they are "cheaper" than most companies because they have to make up for how crappy they are in every other aspect. Thanks to them my husbands car has thousands of dollars in damage that State Farm "refused" to believe and we will have to be paying out of pocket for most of it. That is INFURIATING when we have worked so hard to extra "goodies" into this car. State Farm took our monthly payments and ran with it. What a joke! read more

State Farm is by far the worst insurance company there is out there! I work in the car business and going forward will advise all of my customers and Dealers not to purchase this Insurance!!!! And it will not be one customer!! I worked with dealers and customers nationwide!! As part of my job is to provide accurate information to my clients!! Statefarm is a rip off!! They contribute to the auto crimes by not processing their claims in an efficient matter, making it worst to their clients and causing more stress!!! They have unprofessional agents, managers, etc!!! They will keep telling you they have not received your fax!! How long does it take to receive a fax?!! Seconds!!! My vehicle was robbed over 45 days now and I have provided every form they have requested...they still have not made a decision making my life more stressfull!! Every 43 seconds, a car is stolen in the United States, with these statistics how can we trust Statefarm to do their job right and cover what you paid for!!! I wish I had never made the mistake of switching my previous insurance with Mercury to this piece of crap insurance. Oh and they do not use email communication! Hmm very smart from their part!! They do not want any written evidence between them and their clients...there's a lot of liability there. Their excuse for security purposes. If you are smart customer I suggest you start recording all conversations, writing down names and times and proof of everything you sent them. I would not recommend Statefarm to anyone! Got all my family to cancel their policies...eight so far and I will continue to do so...Don't want anyone continue to be part of this insurance rip off! read more

I WAS FINED OVER $150 by the NC DMV! I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone! Very poor customer service, and an absolute disregard for state laws and regulations. Two of my vehicles are registered in NC, I was told by the agent that 'that didn't matter'. In the end I was fined over $150 and threatened to have my tags revoked by the NC DMV due to my agents negligence. Agent INSISTS they did nothing wrong and the vehicles WERE legally insured. I had someone from state farm contact the NC DMV on a conference call with me and the NC DMV was VERY clear that this agent was not licensed to ensure the NC registered vehicles. Agent will not return my calls, and refuses to return my premiums? I was told not to contact my agents office anymore because I was no longer a customer (after returning to Geico after realizing my state farm agent had been collecting premiums on vehicles THEY WERE NOT LEGALLY able to ensure.) I have filed a complaint with State Farm, the BBB as well as with the State Commissioner of Insurance. I would not recommend my agent or State Farm to ANYONE. I filed my complaint with State Farm 3 days ago, and really stressed in that complaint that I was looking at a deadline to get the situation resolved. I have STILL not heard a word from anyone at State Farm and we are going on day 4 since my complaint! Just so the public is aware, my agent was NIck Smith out of urbana, IL. I am appalled that State Farm allows their representatives to do business in such a poor fashion. I demand that my premiums be returned, and I also think that State Farm should be responsible for the fines I have had to pay! read more

NEWS FLASH!!!!! Auto Rescue in Lewisville, Texas is very big with a company called Road-America and this company has one of the biggest contracts with State Farm, GEICO & Allstate. All of Auto Rescue's driver's are sub-contractors there very huge in Michigan. Its very sad that if you want to be a service provider for State farm, GEICO or Allstate and if you own a towing company you have to go thorugh alot of paper work. Towing company's have to 1. Company Liability Insurance. 2. Insurance on every vehicle. 3. State Iicensed. 4. Worker's Comp Insurance. And each driver a towing company has must have a Chauffeur license with a medical certificate with a good driving record with no felonys and must pass a drug test just to name a few. What Auto Rescue does in every state is hire Sub-Contractor's just gives them a phone and there is a reason why Road-America has them for starters there service fee on every call is $20.00 and miles to call is free. Towing companys fee's are $32.00 plus only 10 miles free. But ill tell you this if one of there Sub's end up damageing your car guess what your not getting it fixed. Auto Rescue Sub's dont even have car insurance on there cars half of the time. Its all about the bottom line.....With State Farm, Geico & Allstate! Your better off with AAA they do not hire sub contractor's..... read more

Today, June 18, 2019 at 7:15 pm, called into State Farm 1-844 phone number because the online portal was showing no premium was due for both vehicles. The rep gave the amounts due by the 22nd. My dad and I asked what the normal premiums are. He said he wasn't going to research it. He would send a request over to the agent to provide the info. My dad asked why he couldn't research. He just keep saying he could send a message to the agent. My dad asked to speak to a supervisor. He said he wasn't going to transfer and would not. I got on the phone and told him to please get a supervisor because were not getting anywhere. He still refused and said he was the only one we were going to talk to and if we didn't let him speak he was going to hang up. I told him once again we need a supervisor since he couldn't help, so he claim, find the normal premium balance. He hung up. I called back and got another specialist, same department by the way and she gave the normal monthly premium balance. She said she didn't understand what his problem was. I told her I understood. The man was a straight up jerk. She claim she was the highest official in office and she would handle everything. I don't trust anything State Farm has to say. If I find another insurance company, with the same rates, I will drop State Farm like a bad habit. read more

Prior to being rear-ended, my rear bumper was spotless. Rewind to end of May 2012, on a rainy morning I was rear-ended by a woman insured by State Farm. Because I only have liability coverage, my insurance agent stated I would have to file a claim directly with State Farm. I called customer service and every rep I have spoken to were very nice however they don't truly deliver their services as they claim to (ie: state someone will call when days could go by without a phone call). I made an appointment for an appraisal and was informed by the employee there the photos will be uploaded and sent in for review. Later on someone will contact me with further information. Completely different from what I was informed by the rep that scheduled my appointment. It is now July and I am told by the adjuster that because the damages on my car is inconsistent and the estimator believes there were prior damages on my car, they will not be paying for the damages incurred in May. Again, my rear bumper was spotless. And many people can attest to that. I really hate to make a big deal out of nothing but when you're pointing a finger at me and essentially calling me a liar, WE HAVE A PROBLEM. read more

DO NOT buy from StateFarm!!! Very horrible insurance company. They will collect your money and not pay a penny one claims. I had been StateFarm customer since 2008. I had a sudden water slab leak and there was water all over the kitchen and living room area. Their 24 hour service did not send a plumber right away, instead they said to shut off the main water supply and call any plumber in the morning. I called Roto Rooter and the plumber confirmed that it was a sudden slab leak. They brought machines to dehumidify for 3 weeks and re-routed the pipe. StateFarm never sent an adjuster to my house. They just collected photos from me and plumber and denied the claim saying that this was a slow leak. How can it be a slow leak when there was water all over the floor in within 1 hour? All these years, StateFarm charged me over $23k in premium and this is how I got treated. I cannot imagine how can someone sitting thousands of miles away, never physically visited damaged location, never physically inspected my kitchen leak, completely ignored plumber's report and then denied the claim. My damage/repair was $17,850 which I had to pay out of pocket. What a joke this company is. read more

Horrible Experience with State Farm! #StateFarmFail #PrivacyViolation I can't believe how unprofessional State Farm Fire and Casualty Company has been! They violated Ohio insurance laws by willfully disclosing our personal and private insurance information to an unauthorized third party! This is a HUGE breach of trust! We NEVER gave State Farm any authorization--neither written nor verbal--to share our personal claim info with anyone, especially someone INvolved in the second burglary at our business that led to our total loss. This is absolutely unacceptable! It's shocking that a company like State Farm could just ignore proper standards and procedures like this. We're taking this very seriously and have reported this egregious breach to the Ohio Department of Insurance. An investigation into State Farm's dubious business practices is officially underway! Don't trust your private information with them! #BreachOfTrust #InsuranceNightmare #ProtectYourPrivacy @followers @highlight Min M L Kimble Word on the Street Media Group The HCV Store -Swanton HCV Stores TheMinister ML Kimble Word Ttv Street Word on the Street Talk TV Word on the Street Talk TV read more

Bill is a great guy. No problem with him, and State Farm has covered me on several instances, so they are not totally awful. THE PROBLEM here with insurance companies are the "EXCLUSIONS" they have in the policy. So if your pipes leak and you have to re pipe the house you PAY THE $17,000 for repipe, State Farm gives you $2,500 to restore..OH Well, it saddens me, that they spend BILLIONS on adverstising, and "Like a good Neighbor, State Farm is there." Sorry, ugh, NO THEY ARE NOT THERE, they ARE EXCLUDING your problem, YOU ARE NOT COVERED, and OH THEY WANT TO SELL YOU MORE INSURANCE BTW...IT Sucks, as they dragged me through mud when the pipes burst, and led me to believe it was covered, then they did a FLIP FLOP, "Oh, we don't cover the plumbing repairs, it's excluded." WTF DO I have your insurance for, to get insurance, or FOR YOU TO BE THERE FOR ME. IN THe end INsurance is Bull, a big rip off, and the clients get it in the end. BILL Needs to stop trying to sell us more EXCLUDED COVERAGE AND CHILL OUT. Thanks for listening. TICKED OFF AT MY "EXCLUSIONS." OH, they don't tell you about that, it's in the small print and I can't see that good. LOGAN read more

I filed a lawsuit against State Farm in January 2017. I served them notice a month prior to pay the outstanding medical bills from a single visit I had at a hospital emergency room. This was the result of their insured person running into the back of my car while I was stopped at a light. A police person was present at the time and they were found 100% at fault. After repeated attempts to get State Farm to pay the bills, the hospital sent me to collections ruining 40 years of perfect credit. I have a court date set in April 2017 to require State Farm to pay the bills, while I be given more time to verify that I need no further medical treatment. As a result State Farm has lawyered up to try to intimidate me, lied throughout the year I have been trying to work with them, and has claimed arrogantly to be above insurance and consumer protection laws. When I submitted a complaint to the Oregon and North Carolina Departments of Insurance they refused to follow up, clearly showing their bias towards the insurance industry. I would recommend that you do not conduct any business with State Farm or any of its agents and franchises. read more

I am literally and unashamedly disgusted with State Farm. You NEVER pay your claims whether the person is insured by you or not. I am not, thank God, and never will be. Your claimant hit me but because I happen to know one of the witnesses they are not valid because you think they are biased? What...just because your insured lies you think everyone lies? Great to know how much faith you have in people! GARRETT FROM YOUR TEMPE, AZ OFFICE SHOULD BE FIRED! He is the MOST RUDE AND HORRIBLE person I've ever spoken with in my life! And I'm over 50 so....that's a lot of interactions and he is the WORST and most RUDE and DESPICABLE person I've ever come into contact. I get it though, maybe you hire horrible people so you can just avoid paying any money? DO YOU READ YOUR REVIEWS??? Are you NOT SEEING THAT YOUR CUSTOMERS DESPISE YOU? Just call it quits and close your doors already! And if you're wondering, YES, I would tell you this in person and to your face. I would not hide behind a review. I DID tell you this via email, but so far three days and not one response. Great customer service there, State Farm! (LOL) read more

I would not recommend State Farm to anyone. After a recent encounter with a pothole, the resulting damage require that my tire be replaced. In order to file a claim with the State of West Virginia, a letter stating that tire damage is excluded from your policy was required. However, with State Farm, you are required to file a claim with the insurer, which will be denied, yet held against your claims history record for an item which is not covered. After requesting a copy of the policy (which was furnished) no reference to the exclusion of coverage was indicated. A call to the State Farm 24-hour service continued the incompetence of the organization. The representative was unable to indicate on the 80 page policy declaration where the coverage was excluded. The company is very happy to accept my premium checks every quarter but is also willing to inconvenience me when I need their serviced. My neighbor who has coverage from another company had no problem receiving a letter for her tire replacement, yet State Farm is never there when a longstanding customer requires assistance. read more

State Farm proves to be the epitome of disappointment and betrayal. Despite promptly settling my insurance premium upon notification of a lapse, I found myself in a dire situation mere hours later--engulfed in an accident. Yet, what does State Farm, with its so-called reputation as a "good neighbor," do? They abandon me without a second thought. Their adjuster, Julie Wisdom, embodies callousness, lacking not only empathy but also basic human decency. In contrast, had I remained with Allstate, a company I entrusted for three decades, I would have undoubtedly found solace in their reliable hands. But alas, my move to North Carolina led me to the regrettable decision of switching to State Farm--a choice I now rue. Let this scathing review serve as a beacon of warning to potential customers: beware of entrusting your hard-earned money to a company that forsakes you when you need them the most. State Farm's actions speak volumes about their integrity, or rather, the lack thereof. Save yourselves from the anguish and frustration I endured. read more
