Axel Jimenez is the best of the best and the cream of the crop when it comes to all types of insurance needs. In fact, it goes above and beyond just insurance. He is a wonderful human being and has true compassion for people on a personal level. He is personally invested to help others. His career of being a State Farm Agent is more than just a job title. He is empathetic and knows what people need without them saying it. He is working 24/7 for his policyholders in the aftermath of the devastating storms that have hit central Illinois this week. Despite the fact that he has a wife and children who need him at home, he has stepped up and put in extra time and effort outside of normal business hours in order to personally get his policyholders' lives back on track and recover from the unexpected. I realize it sounds cliché, but he is the epitome of a good neighbor who helps people recover from the unexpected, in addition to everything else that is expected of a State Farm agent. I'm also proud of his time serving our country and putting his life on the line to fight for all Americans who need protection and are unable to do so for themselves. Thank you for your service, Mr. Jimenez. Now, the reason I am sharing this story is.... for the first time in 30+ years I have been a State Farm policyholder, I had to submit my very first fire claim ever. A catastrophe claim at that. Twice in 2 days, I have spoken to him on his personal cellphone outside of normal business hours. If you think about all of the people who have suffered damage from the storms, how many insurance agents are calling their policyholders from their personal cellphones on the weekend? I can tell how many. Not many. In addition to the fact that Axel personally cares about his policyholders, he also cares about human beings on a higher level. He is so kind and giving and compassionate, and I have personally experienced this first hand this weekend. I thank Axel for being a lifesaver and helping me get my life back on track. Please, if you have experienced any type of hardship this week because of the severe weather, and you have received help from your insurance agent, please take a few minutes to recognize them. They deserve it at the very least. Their leaders also need to hear the praise. At the end of the day, this is their job. This is how they make money to support their families. The people who lead these agents need to hear the positive words and praise about their agents who are on the front lines helping people change their lives for the better. I have a feeling these State Farm agents don't get the praise they deserve. Please take a few moments to thank your agent. They need to hear it. Thank you, Axel, for being a blessing to me. You are awesome and I am continually impressed with the level of service you provide. Your direct involvement with my first fire claim has been extremely instrumental in getting me back on track. I thank you for that. Lynn Ludwig read more

I would highly recommend going with any other state farm agent in the area. Not a customer of theirs, but had a fender bender in front of their business. I was not at fault, but one of the axel's agents came out and graciously informed me and the woman involved that he's seen this 100 times and I'm definitely at fault. He was honestly being super unprofessional about it. Really had no business trying to point out any accountability at that time. I think he was trying to score some points with the young women involved, not really sure. Needless to say, they told me that my insurance company could reach out to them for the security footage of the incident. They never responded back to us with the footage. Go figure. I even showed up in person to ask about it to which they assured me Mr. axel would reach out to me (never happened). Fortunately, working through my own insurance, I was not found at fault of the accident. I guess this goes to show that despite "seeing this all the time" this team really doesn't know jack about who's accountable in an accident. If this epic display of professionalism and knowledge is what is to be expected when you are an actual customer for them, then I would just avoid this place like the plague. Seems like a bunch of stuck up idiots. Thanks for your time ! read more

Axel has been awesome but unfortunately, his support staff doesn't promptly return messages.

We moved to Bloomington last year and Alex and his team were so helpful in getting our policies from out of state transferred over. During a time when other businesses won't even call you back, I appreciate how responsive this office has been. Thank you for being a good neighbor!!! read more

When I moved back to Blo-No and asked who I should go to for my insurance needs, the answer was unanimous from my colleagues...Axel. Axel and his staff are prompt, follow up to ensure your needs are met and understood, and all commitments were met. On a side note, I was shocked that for the few times I needed to stop by his office to pick up/drop off paperwork, his staff already recognized me and knew my name. read more

Axel and staff are the real deal! They are the best at customer service. You will find no better State Farm agent in Bloomington-Normal!

Everything about Axel and his office staff is top notch. We just switched over to him and the personal touch is awesome! Definitely feel like a family he cares about and not just another insurance customer. We would highly recommend Axel for all your insurance needs! read more

Axel is a great agent for State Farm Insurance. I've had SF Insurance for about 20 years. My first agent retired and recommended an agent that was useless. After years of frustration with that agent, I switched to Axel. From the first meeting, Axel found that I was over-paying for my auto insurance, getting me about a $1,000 refund. I also have homeowners insurance with SF, I've recently had catastrophic water damage throughout my home. Axel's office was helpful in getting the claim started and referring me to services. Unfortunately the dry-out service they recommended was a nightmare for my family. Those service 'professionals' show little to no compassion for working with individuals with disabilities and/or mental illness. They also did not provide appropriate equipment for drying our home. Axel intervened.... The more we tried to get appropriate service from the dry-out service, the worse we were treated. We ended up firing the service and doing that work on our own. Since firing this service company, we've been hearing many, poor, sometimes shocking stories, about the company and how they have not done work properly and treated families poorly. I gave Axel a 4-star instead of a 5-star because he is still recommending the same dry-out service. Should you have water damage, I recommend you find your own dry-out service. Stay far away from a service whose name sounds like "old men". Axel has wonderful office personnel. Richard is very helpful, as has been every other person I have worked with in his office. I highly recommend him and his office. read more

I really appreciate Axel and his team. They are always professional and I am impressed with the services they provide. They do a great job in listening to my needs, taking the time to walk through my questions and making sure I have the best coverages. I also appreciate that Axel is very active in the community. It's great to see his booth at many of the local events in town. It is wonderful to work with a team who I trust. read more
