I had some real problems with being able to turn my head in either direction because of all the stiffness. They laid out a plan of exercises that concentrated on getting my neck more limber and able to turn without the pain I had had. I've tried various PTs through my insurance, but this is the first time I invested in PT out of…read morepocket, and it was absolutely worth it. I felt like my body was twisted and unbalanced, but the PTs covered by my insurance weren't able to help me until the issue I had been expressing eventually led to a severe injury where I couldn't walk for about five days. The PTs would give me exercises that I could have easily found through ChatGPT or a simple Google search, and then send me to an aide. When I had questions, the aides often didn't know the answers. They gave me A LOT of at home exercises, almost a quantity over quality, hoping one works. Then I found Dr. Gary! He is very different from a typical PT. He listens carefully to all of my issues (pain and discomfort seemingly everywhere. I'm sure I sound like a hypochondriac ), and then gives me some really odd exercises that I would never have found on my own. Somehow, I always feel better afterward. He goes all the way down to the basics, even teaching me how to breathe to properly engage my core, when to breathe during an exercise, and exactly where I should be feeling each movement. It's not just "here are some exercises, go do them." He makes sure I understand why I'm doing them and what I should be feeling. He also consistently remembers to send me my homework, often with videos. With the other PTs I tried, I had to repeatedly hunt them down to get my exercises, so I ended up having to rely on memory. Dr. Gary also responds to my questions between sessions if I'm unsure about an exercise, which has been incredibly helpful in making sure I'm doing things correctly. What I appreciate most is how much he genuinely cares about learning and thinking critically. I can tell he is constantly processing what he's seeing and what I'm telling him during our sessions and trying to figure out the root cause of what's going on. He tests and retests his hypotheses until my body gives him feedback that he's on the right track. I'm incredibly thankful for Dr. Gary and the care he puts into his work. If you're dealing with something that feels "off" in your body, I truly believe your health is worth the investment. Don't wait until the problem becomes a serious injury like I did because of the limitations of the insurance system. Take the chance! you may be surprised by how much the right PT can help. From the very first visit, I could tell they understand (and cared) about all things movement. The staff is patient, polite and gentle in a way that made a very big difference for me when I started my recovery journey. Their guidance felt honest--there was zero pressure. I've been through a few physical therapy and rehab centers, and what gets me is how super frustrating it can be to relearn things that once felt automatic. The team here met me exactly where I was at, which meant more to me than I can put into words--especially during a pretty tough recovery. However, the place I went to before only had saunas and nothing else really. so, not too long ago my good friend Emily started working here and she recommended I should come check the place out! This place 100000x better than the last place and pretty much any other place I've tried. Sauna, cold plunge, and compression boots for recovery! They have it all! Saunas are super clean, personal use/private, and they give you plenty of towels just in case you sweat like crazy like me. Cold plunge is also super clean, it was pretty scary at first if I'm being honest but AFTER you do it you feel AMAZING, it's like having that first cup of coffee, nothing better! And finally today I tried the compression boots for the first time and it was super cool, on top of that I got a nice quiet room to my self where I could get some work done will helping my recovery! (They also have a TV in the room if you prefer to watch something while you have the boots on) Highly recommend checking this place out and giving all of these things a try! First PT that I've been to that does cupping and scraping, I LOVE IT! Facility is clean and they make efforts to keep it that way. I soon found out that he was 100% right! Since I started seeing Jason several months ago I've noticed a HUGE improvement. I've seen MANY chiropractors over the years and had grown accustomed to 90 second visits where the doctor doesn't seem to invest much time or effort. However, Jason is the complete opposite! He takes time to analyze your movement patterns, identify the true root cause of your issue, ART, massage gun therapy, and multiple adjustments. Despite also working in the medical field, I still get a case of white-coat nerves around new doctors. Dr. Gan--and most importantly, Ruby (the office mascot )--were great at easing and calming those nerves. My body has been through a lot over the years, and I have to say that the few appointments I've had have done wonders for my daily aches and pains. Here, you can tell they don't provide subpar treatment just to ensure repeat visits; they genuinely want their patients to get better and return to full capacity.
