Dr. Gary resolved a nagging hip pain I've had on and off for years due to overuse. I've seen PT's in the past and they've all said the same things: "stretch your hip, work it out a little more, etc." and none of them every found the root cause. From the first session, I could tell Dr. Gary was different. He looked at my issue holistically and focused on the bad ankle on the same side as my bad hip. After that first session, I haven't had hip pain and for the remaining sessions we were able to focus on ankle mobility to resolve other issues related to it. I had already tried other physical therapy offices and wasn't getting any meaningful relief. Working with Gary was completely different. Nothing ever felt rushed, and within the first 30 minutes of my initial visit, I could already feel an improvement. What stood out most was how tailored the treatment was to me. It wasn't the same standard PT routine you see everywhere or exercises you could easily find on YouTube. After every session, I felt better and continued to make progress. I'm not completely pain-free yet, but I'm about 75% better than when I started. More importantly, I feel confident that continuing with the program Gary developed for me will keep me moving in the right direction and eventually get me back to running and being more active and pain-free with my kids. However, the place I went to before only had saunas and nothing else really. so, not too long ago my good friend Emily started working here and she recommended I should come check the place out! This place 100000x better than the last place and pretty much any other place I've tried. Sauna, cold plunge, and compression boots for recovery! They have it all! Saunas are super clean, personal use/private, and they give you plenty of towels just in case you sweat like crazy like me. Cold plunge is also super clean, it was pretty scary at first if I'm being honest but AFTER you do it you feel AMAZING, it's like having that first cup of coffee, nothing better! And finally today I tried the compression boots for the first time and it was super cool, on top of that I got a nice quiet room to my self where I could get some work done will helping my recovery! (They also have a TV in the room if you prefer to watch something while you have the boots on) Highly recommend checking this place out and giving all of these things a try! I have a bulging disc in my L5-S1, and at the time, even walking hurt. Finding him was the turning point--not just for my physical health, but for how I approached investing in myself. Jason goes above and beyond in every session. He doesn't just crack your back and send you on your way. It's a deeply personalized mix of deep tissue work and chiropractic adjustment (no electric machines or cookie-cutter routines here). I super appreciated how little I waited from the moment I got checked-in until I left the facility. The MA who took care of me from start to finish was a gold-star MA. She was not just efficient, but proficient with administering injections and venipuncture. I'm a hard stick and also used to train MAs and phlebotomists. I wholeheartedly wish every MAs are like her. I wish I remembered her name because she really deserves a shoutout. I don't know of any other Concentra that's as coordinated as this location because I was there for less than an hour for all that I needed done. The drug screening took very little to no time even when using the wonky eScreen. The physician came in very quickly to complete the physical itself once all the specimens were collected and the immunization were administered. Just for comparison, my previous experience at a different Concentra location took me a whopping 4.5hr for a visit completion. So I was fully expecting to be stuck there for hours too. Also, the facility is extremely clean and well kept. Parking is free and aplenty right in front of the entrance. Anyhow, if I ever have to get anything done related to occupational health again, I would definitely go out of my way to visit the Placentia location in the future.
