    Pepperoni sausage pizza

So I heard about this place through the Grapevine so I finally went and got a pizza and cheesesteak sub and I think this will be my number one go to spot.

Steak egg and cheese (with the cheese pull)

This place closed down during COVID and I almost forgot it existed. So glad I remembered one random day. I ordered carry out for their steak egg and cheese sandwiches and it's just as good as I remembered it. Packed full of meat, lettuce, veggies and cheese, and topped with fried egg, it was a gut bomb that thoroughly satisfied my hunger. I was going to save half of the sandwich for later, but when I looked down there was no more sandwich to save. Apparently I ate all of it.

It's a little past the 8 o'clock opening time on Wednesday morning, July 08, 2021, and I've arrived at Starv'n Marv'n Family Restaurant to

Starv'n Marv'n Family Restaurant has been a Klamath Falls, OR breakfast and lunch icon since they opened their doors back in 1997. The restaurant is noted among locals for serving one of the best breakfasts in town, and I hear their hamburgers are outstanding as well... As you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a "faux chef" holding a "Please Wait to be Seated" sign, a board announcing the daily specials, and a smile from one of the friendly staff members. There is a long counter, and the kitchen is located to the rear of the restaurant. Corrugated metal seems to be he focal point of the decor, which is very attractive and somewhat unusual. You know you're in Klamath Falls when you're in the dining room, as "Klamath Falls" is featured on an overhead lighting fixture. The dining room is large, and features tables-only, and they're spaced quite far apart... possibly a leftover from the COVID-19 days? There aren't any booths... hope you like tables! The walls are painted with contrasting colors, and framed paintings and photos are hung on the walls for decoration. The dining room is well-lit from large windows, and is very comfortable and attractive. The fourth page of the menu lists "Breakfast for the Starv'n Marv'n," and that description fit me on this Wednesday morning in early July, as had worked up quite an appetite. I scanned the entire breakfast section of the menu - you can order from the lunch section if you choose - and my eyes landed on "The Klamath Farmer," and I went with that, as it seemed to be the "flagship" breakfast choice of this fine restaurant. From the "Breakfast for the Starv'n Marv'n" section of the breakfast menu, I went with "The Klamath Farmer," which headlined the second page of the breakfast section of the menu. Since today was my first visit to Starv'n Marv'n, and I was in Klamath Falls, this seemed like a great place to begin. The menu describes "The Klamath Farmer" as, "Double hash browns topped with two sausage patties and three eggs smothered in our homemade country gravy." This breakfast was HUGE, and was definitely fit for a hungry, hard-working Klamath farmer. The foundation of the "farmer" is a double helping of hash brown potatoes, which were perfectly deep fried to a golden brown on the outside, and tender, chewy-white on the inside. On top of the hash browns were two sausage patties, which were tasty, juicy, perfectly seasoned and tender. Next were three fried eggs, in my case, perfectly fried, over easy, as I ordered. The whole mountain of breakfast goodness was covered with in-house-made sausage gravy, which was thick, seasoned, and had lots of chunks of sausage. Thick, "Texas style" sourdough toast on a separate plate rounded out this amazing breakfast. Such a great breakfast, as everything was cooked to order, and simply delicious! This breakfast will satisfy the hearties of appetites - like my breakfast appetite - and will keep a hungry lumberjack, linebacker or rancher satisfied all day. I skipped lunch and just enjoyed a small salad for dinner. I recommend this breakfast! I absolutely LOVED my hearty breakfast, as it was perfectly cooked and delicious! It was so HUGE that I simply enjoyed a small salad for dinner, as it kept me fueled for the rest of my day. For an amazing breakfast or lunch, eat where the locals dine, at Starv'n Marv'n Family Restaurant, located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. As the sign at the entrance states, "A Klamath original..." Five Star "comfort food" dining, any way you look at it!

3/9/19-one year later and I tried to give this place another chance after coming back into town late. After trying to order, I couldn't hear the total of the food so when I asked to clarify, the man on the phone yelled at me and hung up. Looks like it really is over!

Wings Dinner, comes with 6 piece wings fries and bread

I ordered delivery on Doordash from this place a few hours before closing and I was neutral about my entire order all throughout. I ordered the Pepperoni Lovers Medium (14.95$) and the Wings Dinner (10.45) , we were bored and wanted to try something new other than Papa Johns. The pizza had like a cheese capsule on top and under had more pepperoni it was really strange as if they topped it twice in a pattern, it wasn't good but it wasn't bad either I could still eat it but I wouldn't go out of my way for a slice. The wings were good but I personally dislike breaded wings because they get soggy and gross with the sauce, it was alright not bad for 11$ it came with fries and they were crisped to perfection :3, it came with a side of bread which confuses me because I'd think of celery first or probably like a small coleslaw but bread no thanks bro

The crab dip and double smash burger are solid options here. I've also enjoyed the huli huli pork steak and a couple of the fry baskets. Although I had been to the Rio before, it had been quite some time, so finding the restaurant was a bit difficult, but we eventually made it. We arrived shortly after noon, and the restaurant was quiet, with only one other table occupied. The hostess greeted us, showed us to our table, and started us off with water. Shortly after, our server, Mary, came by to take our food and drink orders. Since it was our first visit, we asked for recommendations, and everything she suggested was excellent. My usual Appletini was good, although it tasted more like vodka than apple. The jumbo lump crab dip, while a bit small in portion, was absolutely delicious and packed with crab and perfectly paired with the sesame baguette. Mary also recommended the shrimp and chicken tenders basket, which was another great choice. My only critique would be to cut the chicken tenders into smaller, bite-sized pieces, as they were quite large and, combined with the crunchy batter, a bit difficult to eat. However, the flavor was spot on. The menu is extensive, including a wide variety of drinks and oysters from different regions. Although I spent more than expected, I would consider visiting again in the future.

Representing 2019 in DMV runner-up in alphabet series, C is for Copper Canyon Grill. I had been to…read morethe RIO location twice, both in 2019. I first tried at Silver Spring on a date in July 2018. In fact, that was one of the dates where we went to Kung Fu Tea after dinner (see my 3-star review I just wrote of them). I was impressed with that location. So, in March 2019, I was happy my friend had his birthday party there. The same friend who went to BJ's Restaurant in Frederick (my last review I just wrote: see my 3-stars of them) also joined me for a movie & for the birthday party. She swayed me to get Prime Rib. And she was right! One of the best prime ribs out there. Ultimately, she became a girlfriend, and early on in that relationship, she really wanted to go back to Copper Canyon, and after a movie at RIO, we went again. Service was very good, and we enjoyed prime rib again. Prime rib comes with green beans & mashed potatoes, which are great too, but the real star is the prime rib itself. Interestingly, my girlfriend of that time ate the prime rib by herself on Friday, March 13, 2020. She joined me for 1 movie, I joined my friend for 2 movies, & he went to 3 movies on that Friday. He was understandably concerned the movie theaters were shutting down any day for Covid, and he wanted to get his AMC A-List 3 movies in for the week of March 13-19, 2020 and not break his 90+ week streak he had going of always getting his 3 movies in since he joined A-List. My friend & I had dinner at BGR before my 1st movie & his 2nd movie, which went out of business unfortunately, but BGR in Columbia is still there. Like my friend panicking about getting his 3 movies in, my girlfriend was being pragmatic saying I won't be able to have prime rib for a while as restaurants will shutdown for Covid. I was a bit jealous even though BGR was good; let's be honest Copper Canyon prime rib is even better! In December 2025, my girlfriend wanted to try Copper Canyon for her birthday since I had mentioned the place several times (including times I went with my ex). I realized there's one by Arundel Mills, which was great as I didn't want to schlep from my home to Largo, Silver Spring, or Gaithersburg in order of distance, none of which are close to my home today, which is only about 8 miles from Arundel Mills. That new location is my new favorite, but this one is a close 2nd place.

Some visit the servers are lovely and really engaged and then other times they will come by once and that's it. This visit our server wasn't very warming and came to check on us once. The ribs always come with a warm towel to clean your hands at the end but it was brought out with our plate... which made no sense because by the time we finished the ribs the towels were cold. Previously we have gotten the towels at the end of the meal to clean our hands. The restaurant itself is beautiful and a very nice date night vibe.
