The intake people are nice and patient. Listen to patient when they had questions…read more They also have the optical section, I believe you need to have an appointment. The one lady that assisted me on 1/15/24 with my optical problems with my glasses and sunglasses , did an excellent job on fixing the problems with my Maui Jim's and my other 3 eye glasses. I was very happy with my service. The place is very clean. I highly recommended this eye place

She went thru the options and prices. totaling almost $700.00. I left the office and went home and reviewed my vision plans. I noticed she failed to pull up benefits for both plans, missed the VSP coverage which is by far the better coverage. I returned and pointed out the error and she initially pushed back on any oversight or mistake on her part. But I held firm and she finally acquiesced. The coverage under vsp resulted in my out of pocket for the same glasses and options was reduced to $190.00. I recently returned to the office to pick up the new glasses. Had a different optician. He was quite laid back and did not take any direction is assisting me thru the new glasses, how well they fit, whether they were a good size for my face etc. I instead had to step up and ask... so what do u need me to do? Oh read this card and see how well you can see... OK. anything else?? No not really, so I took it upon myself to stand up and look around the room and check far vision, reading signs and print around the office etc. He was quite unhelpful and really disengaged in the process. I have worn glasses since age 12. I have had many new optician experiences, this by far rates among the lowest in my expectations, quality and thoroughness and simple guidance and help.

He was patient with me when I did not come for my consultation with my previous medical info and he helped me understand my prescription better. At first, I felt similarly to another reviewer who saw his office and paper records as outdated. I questioned his professionalism and organization compared to more modern optometrists I've seen. However, by the end of my appointment, I felt very differently. I have never truly had clarity (no pun intended) in telling my doctor which adjustment made my vision clearer, for example. He told me exactly what subtle differences I should be looking for and it helped a ton! He also explained how contacts work with the eye and why corneal issues actually happen, which was useful. He's an older guy and may come off a certain way at first, but I have quickly come to trust him and get how he operates. Trust me - I'm the first person who would be (and was) skeptical of an older man, being a young and outspoken woman, but he proved my first impression wrong by the end of my appointment. Do be advised as well that he takes cash or checks but not credit, so you'll have to stop beforehand if you don't carry either. He was understanding and totally didn't mind that I had to leave his office and come back to pay him. He also has a friendly, medium sized dog that I enjoy seeing when I visit his office. I am allergic, but she does not bother my allergies much; she's very sweet and not overbearing. Overall, he is very personable, knowledgable and treats his patients like members of his family. I highly recommend him - give this guy a chance!

Making my choice was almost a family affair, as I felt comfortable soliciting his opinion, and ended up choosing the perfect frame for me. I never had that feeling from any of the modern optometry "factories." Large selection, quick and professional service, very reasonable prices, and Dr. Bill's devotion to three generations of have made me a fan.
