Amazing service. Amita helped me in a pinch with new glasses and contacts at a reasonable cost. Thank you Amita!

Fantastic doctor, staff, office, location. They were so good to my son! I was actually thrilled…read morethis office took children so that was a bonus, plus we had been wait listed, we weren't supposed to be seen for a month (June was our initial appointment)!! They had an opening due to a cancelation & called the day before. When I got that call to get him in sooner, I was so thankful. This was my first time ever at an opthalmologist, along with my son of course, so wasn't too sure of what to expect, etc. We came in because my son has been having eye issues, I initially figured it was allergies, but wanted to be safe. I had other thoughts as to what it *could have been* and wanted to rule them out as well. My initial suspicions were correct and it was in fact allergies, but better to be safe than sorry. Also it is so good to have found an opthalmologist office that my family might need. Now to get my husband in lol. Great office, not a long wait time at all! Wonderful, kind, staff they're all so great! Highly recommend. My son even commented how great the doctor was and that it wasn't too bad (he was nervous, rightfully so!)

I can no longer see to drive. I don't know if it could have been avoided, but they should have referred me to a retina specialist before doing this surgery. Oh, and the out of pocket expense after insurance was about $6000.

Dr. Troppauer is enjoyable to have as my optometrist. His office receives contacts very quickly…read morecompared to others and he offers you different options so you can get the best deal for your needs. He was patient with me when I did not come for my consultation with my previous medical info and he helped me understand my prescription better. At first, I felt similarly to another reviewer who saw his office and paper records as outdated. I questioned his professionalism and organization compared to more modern optometrists I've seen. However, by the end of my appointment, I felt very differently. I have never truly had clarity (no pun intended) in telling my doctor which adjustment made my vision clearer, for example. He told me exactly what subtle differences I should be looking for and it helped a ton! He also explained how contacts work with the eye and why corneal issues actually happen, which was useful. He's an older guy and may come off a certain way at first, but I have quickly come to trust him and get how he operates. Trust me - I'm the first person who would be (and was) skeptical of an older man, being a young and outspoken woman, but he proved my first impression wrong by the end of my appointment. Do be advised as well that he takes cash or checks but not credit, so you'll have to stop beforehand if you don't carry either. He was understanding and totally didn't mind that I had to leave his office and come back to pay him. He also has a friendly, medium sized dog that I enjoy seeing when I visit his office. I am allergic, but she does not bother my allergies much; she's very sweet and not overbearing. Overall, he is very personable, knowledgable and treats his patients like members of his family. I highly recommend him - give this guy a chance!

Making my choice was almost a family affair, as I felt comfortable soliciting his opinion, and ended up choosing the perfect frame for me. I never had that feeling from any of the modern optometry "factories." Large selection, quick and professional service, very reasonable prices, and Dr. Bill's devotion to three generations of have made me a fan.
