Country Cascades Waterpark Resort is an extremely family-friendly hotel in Pigeon Forge. From the moment we checked in until we left, we were surrounded by friendly people who made sure my family was comfortable and had lots of fun. This hotel has themed suites for families! We stayed in one of their treehouse suites, which has two sets of themed twin bunk beds, as well as a king-sized bed in the main sleeping area. The twin bunk bed area had night lights and a TV in the treehouse nook. My kids were delighted to find a treasure hunt inside our room: a safe full of goodies that they could only unlock once they found all of the clues around the room. We probably could have spent the whole day just having fun inside Country Cascades, even without the waterpark. Inside the resort, there is a bowling alley, arcade, rock climbing wall, gemstone mining, and a gift shop where you can build your own stuffed animal. Kids' activities happen throughout the day, so there's always something to participate in. Plus, the hotel has its own ice cream parlor, pizza restaurant, candy and popcorn shop, coffee shop and breakfast restaurant. Not to mention the waterpark, when you visit during the summer months. Country Cascades is an all-in-one place to stay and play. Country Cascades has its own breakfast restaurant in-house called Granny Cluckets. There's no menu -- instead, the restaurant serves a "family-style" all-you-care-to-eat breakfast skillet, and the table shares all of the food. You're served a big skillet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, country potatoes, waffles, and biscuits and gravy. Orange juice, water and coffee are also part of the breakfast. One serving is a lot of food for a family of four, but if you're very hungry, you can ask for more and they will give you more. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant each morning, and we all agreed that it was a good breakfast. The room was very clean, and although they don't do a full room service, they do take out the trash and replace your towels each day without you having to ask. The one thing that was irksome is that the gym in the hotel is just a treadmill, a stationary bike, and a weight machine. It's very small, and also, they don't allow access to the gym until 7 a.m. That's late for a person like me who needs to rise and grind before her family wakes up! Oh well. I made do, but it would have been nice to at least have an elliptical and 24-hour access.

The heated floors in the bathroom and the comfy sitting area made our Holly Springs cottage suite the perfect home base. We were also assigned our own golf cart to get around the property (although we chose to walk mostly to take in the views). Service was top notch and the staff were wonderful. Every evening they surprised us with a little treat for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

It has a religious background, and they have bible verses printed on their pamphlets and the check in and check out rules. I love it. I'm glad to see these companies still providing information but not shoving it down people's throats. When we arrived at the Main Office, we provided our information and was asked for the credit card or a credit card for the remainder of the payment due (you pay around 10-20 % online as a deposit before your trip and the remaining upon arrival). The employee that was helping us, swiped the card twice, but when the second transaction with through it still left the pending transaction on the card. Not his fault, but we were out the money on the credit card for the trip since there was "nothing" that could be done. The check in was easy and painless, the check-out was even better. We did have to call regarding the fireplace not working in our cabin, and some sort of animal was in the roof on our departure. The cabin. The cabin was wonderful, quite cozy. The hot tub on the deck was fantastic, as well as all of the appliances .The George Foreman was much better than what we expected. The only downfall to the trip was the water in the jacuzzi tub was sulfur water, and the water for the bathroom sink downstairs was sulfur water. So we didn't use the tub, nor the bathroom sink water. We brushed with bottle water and called it a day. Sulfur water isn't a bad thing, and we are in the mountains so it is expected. So we made do with what we had and still had an amazing time. The drive way is very steep, so if it was snow or ice, there is no way we could have made it up (we were in a 2wd not 4wd). Overall the stay was exactly what we were needing, it was a nice relaxing getaway with privacy. The cabin and people we met on this trip were perfect and helped with any issues we had. We will definitely rent again from Hidden Mountain.

My family and I were in town from Lousiville for my daughters cheer competition and was looking to stay an extra day and enjoy the nearby Sevierville/Gatlinburg/pigeon forge areas. I found this company by using Yelp actually. They had a very reasonably priced cabin called the honey bear hollow that sleeps 8-12 people. Me having a family of 7 made it a perfect fit. So you book through the site. Place a credit card on file and pay half up and they will take the second half a week or so before your arrival date. The day of check in You will receive a text notification with an address and pass code for the cabin and the trash cans outside. The day before check out they will text you checking out info and cleanup rules. Our honey bear hollow cabin was beautiful and very nice. You have a covered porch with two rocking chairs and you walk into a nice spacious living room and a kitchen. Off that main floor to the immediate right of the kitchen is a king sized master bedroom and full bathroom with a dual shower head walk in shower. Off the backside of the kitchen is a locked door with a covered patio area with your own personal hot tub. As soon as you walk in where the living room area is a spiral staircase. You get to the top and immediately in front of you is another bathroom with a walk in shower. To the left is a loft area with a pool table and another king sized bed. To the right is another room that features a queen sized bed, a fun retro arcade machine with several classic arcade games and another full sized bed. On our trip here in March of 2022 we got to experience both warm weather cabin life and snowfall cabin life. On our first day here we had beautiful sunny weather up in the high 70's. The next morning we woke up to about 4 inches of snow. I'll give the grounds crew credit. The roads were salted the day before when it was sunny and when we woke up the next morning to a mountain winter wonderland the roads and Drive ways were completely cleared. The surrounding area of the cabin site has a few neighbors. Some closer than others but you still have a ton of privacy. The grounds in the very back has a cute small log cabin chapel and playground. Throughout the site is cool little decor of equipment and even a fake "general" or "thrift" store to give it that southern Sevierville feel to the place. The kids and us loved our cabin. Very spacious and comfortable beds. Nice place to play pr relax and has TVs in each room and in a beautiful area. They really enjoyed the personal hot tub as well. Outside we did have our own grill so if you want to cook out that is an option as well. If I had to critique anything it would be that the pool table in the loft is in a small and tight area. The pool sticks are too long to get off any shot you want without bumping a wall. The TVs all had directv so you had cable but it would be nice if they had a smart tv for streaming services. Overall this was a fantastic and well priced experience and visit. In most of our out of town cheer comps we have to stay in specific hotels near the competition sights. On this trip we was able to book what we wanted to and this massive and fun cabin was actually cheaper per night for a family of 7 like Mine. So we were thrilled with everything!

I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!…read more As the Patriarch of the family, it's easy to beat yourself up and live rewinding and replaying all your past mistakes. I've certainly gotten it wrong enough times to be humbled, but also lucky enough to have gotten a few things right. So it was truly a joy to visit Sevierville with almost my entire tribe in tow: from my 36-year-old first born to my ready to take his first step youngest grandchild. My joy came from watching them all interact with great love for one another. My first three children, which I call THE ORIGINALS, were from a different marriage to my high school sweetheart. The next set of children I like to affectionately call THE SEQUELS. There is a 9 year difference between the youngest of "the originals" and the oldest of "the sequels". There is also an 18 year difference between the oldest original and youngest sequel. Between the two sets of natural born children is my daughter-in-love that I met when she was only 18 months old. We bonded so deeply that she became as natural a part of our family as if I had given birth to her myself. In this medley, there could easily be discord, rivalry and rejection... but that is not what our parental efforts have birthed. Instead we watched with emotional admiration as they all cared for one another during this amazing family vacation @ Club Wyndham Great Smokies Lodge. They not only looked out after all the grandchildren (also known as the spin-offs) with the care and precision of a lion pride, but they took time to make special moments together as well. They rode the water slides as a group, made breakfast in the fabulous fully appointed kitchens and routinely gathered for conversation in each of the three spacious 2 bedroom units we occupied. They also paired off individually based on interests and even created a SIBLING NIGHT OUT were they left the "spin-offs" with the old folks (also known as "the technicolor reruns") as they went off to experience an escape room and dinner @ The Island in Pigeon Forge. The youngest will soon be heading off to begin his Naval career and they made an extra big deal out of spending time with him, which made my heart glow with excitement. *** I TELL YOU ALL OF THIS TO SIMPLY SAY we had an absolutely amazing time at Wilderness @ The Smokies Club Wyndham. The environment here is highly conducive to quality family time. *** For the youngest in our troop, the indoor and outdoor water parks were EVERYTHING! It was good that we had so many adult eyes to keep track of them as they freely roamed every square inch of the facility. One moment they were in the wave pool, the next in the hot tub and in the blink of an eye they were standing below the huge tipping splash bucket before disappearing up the stairs to ride rafts through the twisting tubes. They even tried their skills on the wave rider before running back to our table for a fresh order of delicious cheese pizza from the snack bar. Then they were off again! Our tiniest family member spent his time chillaxing in a shallow watered area specially designed for babies and toddlers. As a parent and grandparent, it was especially comforting to have a worry free play zone for his 10 month old curiosity. The building where we stayed had fire pit patio views of Sevierville Golf Course and it was here I spent sunrise moments reflecting and thanking God for all he has given me, particularly my wonderful wife and seedlings. It was also here where my wife and I shared cups of coffee and quiet morning study time. Our oldest grandchild (8) is the least rambunctious and was thrilled to sit quietly by the fire and play his game boy as the other kids remained sound asleep in the comfortable beds with AMAZING pillows. PLEASE NOTE the Club Wyndham side of the property is roomier and much different than the Wilderness side of the property. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] There are some common regrets among those who are coming to the end of a long life: * Not giving enough time and attention to those who matter most. * Working to much and not enjoying life more * Wishing they had been a better parent or spouse. Club Wyndham @ Great Smokies Lodge is an excellent place to actively begin resolving three of life's issues if you haven't began doing so already. I have chosen to "exit" and get rid of my timeshare here. Don't need to spend more time with Sales than I do with family, and don't need to be threatened.

Walking distance to the strip and several restaurants were super convenient. The rooms are amazing. We got the Junior suite room with 1 king bed. From the fireplace and big screen tv built into the wall to the beautiful view from the balcony. The sink and microwave/refrigerator area was huge. The bathroom was huge and shower was probably the nicest and highest I have ever seen in my life. You can fit 5 people in the shower together. Not sure why you would. There were 3 different shower heads coming out. The room was super clean and modern. I was here on non peak times where the nightly price is still reasonable. But during peak seasons, the prices are super expensive. The expensive prices will keep the shady crowd away and family friendly. One thing I will say is the wind tunnel noise inside the room in the 3rd floor was amazing loud. I had no idea what it was at first as it sounded like it was haunted. Unsure if you can hear it in other floors. I will say this hotel is worth every dollar. I highly recommend it if your in the Gatlinburg area.

And seemed genuinely interested in helping us get out of the dilemma we were in at the current cabin we'd rented elsewhere. She was a Godsend in a wretched moment where I was ready to pack up and head home! She assured us their office was open for check in til 10pm so there was no reason to change our days plans and race over. We loaded up and went about our day trying to forget what had come before. When we arrived we were met by Josie I believe her name was? I was a lot calmer and not as desperate by this time so she wasn't blazed in my mind quite the same way Ms Ginger was, but this young lady was equally delightful! And.. as a 50 yr old female I feel ok saying it was very refreshing how she was dressed and presented herself! She boosted my hope in younger people! Anyhow, obviously their customer service was a delight..you arrive and the office is at the foothill of the entrance to the resort.. a quick stop for check in, meet their delightful staff- heck grab a fresh coffee, its there! They have a map of the resort, they'll highlight the best path to get to your cabin! The gated resort has a pool, an arcade I believe and a playground maybe other things but we were already pretty planned out. Arriving at the cabin...1st thing we saw was a hard lined propane gas grill, no worries about providing your own tank or running out half way through dinner... and there was a charger by the porch for an electric vehicle. The cabin itself, #54 was a 2br..the entire upstairs was a bedroom w 2 queen beds and an full bathroom. Down stairs was an open concept w a living room, a game area with a retro arcade console, pool table, foosball, board games, extra couch seating - kitchen complete w everything needed large seating area, washer/dryer and a large master w a king, a soaker tub and an en suite bathroom with walk in shower. The screened in porch had lots of seating options, a full patio table rocking chairs, 2 porch swings, lights, ceiling fans, a large hot tub w steps and a handle, and towels hanging by the hot tub!! The beds were all comfortable, everything worked as expected, there was an abundance of towels and kitchen linens, they had after hours emergency #s posted for maintenence emergencies. The resort itself is lovely and is built around a mountain side... the drive through it isn't treacherous, but is steep in areas and might need to be a consideration if you're coming in a winter month, there also wasn't any splendid views to be had other than the beauty of the surrounding area, which has been well preserved and cabins positioned in a way to still seem remote and private. I can honestly say for future visits to the area, Oak Haven will always be where I check out 1st. I truly appreciated all they did to salvage our stay! Thanks so much!

The location,…read morelooking south towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was peaceful, and even though it was a short downhill drive to Gatlinburg, it felt like it was miles away. We were greeted by one of the managers when we arrived who made us feel welcome. While there is not daily housekeeping, we had more than enough towels (and coffee pods!) for our three night stay. There was a fire through this area back in 2016. There is no sign of the fire in the remaining lodge building. Off to the side, up a hill, are the foundations of former their lodge buildings and restaurant. The view to the south includes some burned trees in the distance, but I found that it didn't take away from the ambiance. Due to the fire, the does lodge have a more remote feeling due to the lack of telephone, cable, or internet. We didn't miss any of these, and we had reasonable cell phone reception. I look forward to seeing the lodge thrive again and wish the owners the best in their continued renewal.

It's unfortunate what happened with the fires back in 2016 but the business keeps on pushing through. They still have a decent amount of amenities even without the other spaces they had offered before the fires. The rooms are a decent size, especially for two people. They offer a full sized kitchen which was nice so we didn't have to eat out every night. The balcony is cute & have great views of mt leconte. The bed was comfy & everything was clean. They had plush robes in the closet which were super comfy & great to put on after a hot bath in the spa tub in the bathroom. They also maintain hiking trails right by the lodge & they had a nice set up by the creek, there was a bathroom down there & a fire pit and lots of chairs set up. The lodge is only a mile up the road from downtown & the national park entrance so it's in close proximity to alot of great things. The only issue we ran into was not enough parking but we made it work. Overall had a great experience here & would definitely stay here again.
