I asked my dad for a gaming computer for christmas. I opened the box to find a used Asus "gaming…read morelaptop" and a receipt of about 1000 dollars with a no returns accepted policy. The specs weren't bad, 8 GB of RAM and an i-7 processor, but it only had 250 GB of memory and I couldn't stop myself thinking about how I could have built my own desktop computer completely new and twice as good, for the same amount, but my dad insisted it was worth it. These guys have been local computer salesmen/repairmen since like, the 1800s when computers were invented, after all. They must know what they're doing. The charger port broke within the year, and my dad thought it a good idea to return it to the store for a repair. Surely I would trust this good local business after my computer came out good as new. 50 dollars. Not only did they NOT fix my charger, they also somehow ruined or failed to correctly set my video card, turning all white display into pink puke and black display into eye-burning red. He just bought me a new desktop online afterwards, basically what I wanted the whole time anyways. Long story short, never trust old people with your electronics and build your own PC. You'd actually get ripped off less if you just bought from Alienware.

Took PC in to be fixed. Ordered part that did not fix issue. Was told by employee part would be…read morereturned and refunded. This never happened. Called and spoke to owner who argued with me and wouldn't listen. I am out $100 for a part I don't have. This is not professional and there was obviously a communication error between the owner and employee. Buyer beware!! Not an honest business.
