I went looking for two specific things, as they're the things that I'm interested in & collect: WWF Hasbro action figures & horror paraphernalia. They had both in spades. ...they also had so much more that I had no idea I was interested in. Good luck getting out of here without spending any money! Great store. Highly recommended. I strongly do not recommend this business based on my experience…read more I'm a quadriplegic, and I trusted them to give me a fair deal. Instead, I walked away feeling taken advantage of. I estimate I received only about 30% of what my items were worth. I brought in boxed Transformers, Pokémon cards, Star Wars items, He-Man figures, and Power Rangers collectibles. One of the Transformers I brought in is now listed by them for $1,000. Seeing that asking price compared with what I received makes me feel I wasn't treated fairly. I understand a business needs to make a profit, but I shouldn't have to haggle just to get a fair offer. Neither should anyone else. My advice: take your time, research what your collectibles are worth, and consider selling them online yourself. Based on my experience, I wouldn't sell to this business again.

It is a charming little shop a few doors down from the Davis Mercantile building. There are many pre-made dolls to select from, but the best experience is selecting the collector's item from head to toe! You choose the face, eye color, hair color & style, and outfit. They show you how it will look before everything is pieced together, and upon your approval, they teach you to stuff your own daughter (or son!) and you create her with your own loving hands. The average completed doll & outfit was $100, but we added extra outfits (some are handmade onsite) to compliment the experience. Most dolls are Adora, but they have several other designer brands as well. We spent approximately 2 hours onsite mainly because my 7 yr old had a very hard time selecting her baby's face. The boutique owner and assistants were wonderful and patient with our children and you will not be disappointed with the quality and care that is put into the entire experience! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g37526-r393071246-Shipshewana_Indiana.html#

The price tag was $100.00 (add clothes and it totaled $120.00). A bit steep but how often does a girl get to design her own doll? My daughter really wanted blond hair but there were very few styles to chose from. The saleswoman explained that they had difficulty ordering that hair color. We eventually found something close and my daughter was happy. She then put her together and had lots of fun. It is two days later and the seam of the leg is already coming apart. For the price I paid I am sincerely disappointed. If I lived locally I would attempt a return or ask them to stitch it back up.

They are more of an overstock place than a dollar store, also a lot of things there are very expensive so don't view it as a dollar/discount store either in that way. However, the prices are all reasonable. My favorite thing about this store though is that it is - sadly, though luckily it's here now - the closest thing to a book store in the entire city of Defiance as far as I'm aware. They don't have a massive selection and most of the "books" are more coffee table style stuff, but personally I like that kind of thing. They have game books (crossword, sudoku, etc), coffee table books (I got one about Chevy trucks), cookbooks, and so on. A good reminder we do need an actual book store in town when a bargain store is the closest you can get, but for now this will do.
