Stoner's Funstore - Mustaches, for all of your facial hair needs

Stoner's Funstore is a costume and gag gift shop. Apparently, this is THE place to rent and buy costumes in Fort Wayne. They've been operating in the city since 1949! It's also the place to buy fake poop, fake barf, fake teeth, fake mustaches, fake hair and fake Spam. (The fake Spam is actually a decoy secret safe.) They also sell lots of silly gifts, corny mugs, cringey t-shirts, ironic greeting cards, and a lot of Marvel things, for some reason. Stoner's has three rooms of "things that you didn't know you needed but can't live without," according to the delightful woman who works here. She literally said that while standing behind the counter, and I immediately and covertly wrote it down in the notes section of my phone because it was so great. This same woman convinced me to try on a dress from the costume section that looked like it had the Eye of Sauron on it and was $3, because she said, "You're so small, you could fit into this costume and wear it for real." I mean, if an older woman who works in a costume shop called Stoner's Funstore says that you're small and would look good in an Eye of Sauron dress that used to be a costume, you try on the dress. Unfortunately, the proportions were all wrong, so I had to put the dress back on the rack. The vibe at Stoner's is cool and laid back, the people who work here are friendly and helpful, and the store is centrally located in downtown Fort Wayne, with lots of parking, which is a rarity for downtown Fort Wayne. This is a good place to visit if you're looking for a silly gift or costume for Halloween, or any time, really.

The lower level is Tea Room. Think mother/daughter day or a perfect Mother's Day brunch. Even a bridal shower luncheon or after wedding brunch with the family. Sister day our etc. then upstairs is where the sweet connections are. Something for all ages. Three rooms, each insually decorated different to go with the theme of the candy. Then there is a balcony that has a fable and a cotton candy machine. Although it wasn't running that day it sounded tasty to have. One room is for little girls with unicorns and rainbows and dolls, the main room is more for adults and the third room is more geared towered boys with super heroes and LEGO candy etc. the balcony is available to rent out for small events and would be awesome in the summer months. It includes the cotton candy machine if you like too!! it takes awhile to peruse the upstairs because there is so much fun candy to look at and buy. She even had a big selection of throw back candy that takes you back to your childhood. The place is very clean but social distancing isn't practiced except for hand sanitizer. No masks etc. the owner is super friendly and easy to talk too. You can tell she loves her business which is awesome. this is a must stop place when in town not k lot to support local business but to support your sweet tooth!
