In 1978, the owners of CPS Supply Inc. established a janitorial business, cleaning commercial buildings, houses, and did fire restorations. They expanded into creating a business in 1986, downtown Coldwater, MI on South Hudson Street. At this time they started selling janitorial supplies and vacuums, repairing vacuums, along with commercial cleaning. After two years, the business increased, then they moved downtown to a larger building on Chicago Street. After nine years they purchased the old Templins Feed and Seed Store on Marshall Street. After renovating the building and bringing over the inventory, where they are currently located, 471 Marshall Street. CPS Supply Inc. started selling party supplies in 2010. By 2012, they had added an addition to the building which included a warehouse and a receiving area. The old warehouse is the currently the party supply room.
