They also have a large historic collection of hardware and local memorabilia on the walls. They are not your typical hardware store in the best ways.

Nice to go into a store where you can actually get knowledgeable help, unlike the big box stores. If you have to fix something around the house, it's a great place to go, and their prices are very reasonable, especially considering they have to compete with Walmart and Tractor Supply just up the road.

They have the basics for your home or your farm, so if you're a city person, you'll have an education seeing not only machinery and real world farm implements, but also in Coldwater, you may see the Amish in there with their "driver" and van waiting outside. Before hitting the malls and getting depressed at the flimsy thin nonsense "winter" coats and jackets from China, find the closest FF&H, ride out into the country and give them a try. You'll find a different level of China on their racks.

We heard lots of good things about Longstreet and decided to visit ourselves…read more We recently ordered a living room set from another store and have been waiting months for it to arrive. After multiple delays, we decided to see what other options were out there. Enter Longstreet Living. We were politely greeted several times by every employee that passed by. Every one made sure we were taken care of. We were pleasantly surprised to find a living room outfit we liked better than the one we ordered. The style, the fabric, the quality and the price, were all perfect. After waiting months for our previously ordered living room set, we thought this new set was worth asking a out . Our salesman understood our dilemma and was willing to sell us the display model to help our situation. Luckily enough there was a second set still boxed up in the back. We opted to have the furniture delivered the following week for a small additional fee. After completing the paperwork, we headed for home. Along the way we discussed what we needed to do to cancel the previous order from the chain store. We hadn't made it halfway home when we got a call from Longstreet. Our salesman wondered if we were heading straight home and offered to deliver the furniture today. He actually said he thought I might like to watch the game this weekend on my new couch, and wondered if we would be around for the delivery!! After waiting months for our previously ordered set, with no delivery in sight, this was a huge surprise. The way all the other stores were delaying deliveries, we never expected to have furniture for a while. Longstreet made new friends that day. I'm definitely going back for a bedroom outfit.

Jonesville Lumber will beat the big box stores for common lumber and other items. In a recent…read morebuilding project they blew out all three of them by almost a hundred dollars! On top of that, the lumber is better quality and they load it for you. If you are tired of going to the "other guys" picking through junk lumber that is warped and has other defects, loading on cart and reloading into to your truck then then go ahead make your day. But, I can go to Jonesville Lumber, place my order and then get loaded in the same time it takes to figure out good lumber from bad lumber at the other guys storeS. Even more so you are supporting a local business that is always there for you!
