It's a bit of an eclectic shop, offering beautiful (yet reasonably priced) jewelry, Christmas ornmanents, sport-themed novelty items (Purdue, IU, OSU, to name a few), candles and kitchenwares, and then lots and lots of children's items (not clothing, but books, games, and artsy things). The downside is that the story is NOT open Saturday NOR Sunday. The owner said she can't do 6 days a week anymore (understandable!), but I say why not try Tuesday-Saturday to help out working parents. They aren't open late either---ususally it's M-F around 10am-4:30 or so. Thus, minus one star for convenient hours. It's easy to get to, though. Right on Main Street across from Mad Anthony's. Street parking was easy enough when I went on a Monday morning. Not sure what it's like later in the day. The big seller for me was that everything seemed reasonably priced. I think 3 of the 4 things I bought were all at least 20 (up to 50%) off. The customer service was nice/friendly. All in all a terrific little find. Kind of like Hallmark meets Toys 'R Us Express with a little Bed, Bath and Beyond thrown in for good measure. Definitely plan to go back!

I took my 9 year old son there because he constantly scratches his cornea. Every time I have…read morebrought him in there they give him drops and ointment and send him off. This time they said they would give him a contact band aid to help it heal. They scheduled his appointment very first thing in the morning (before his eyes had time to adjust to the light) and were surprised when he couldn't keep his eye open and referred him to Riley in Indianapolis because they said they didn't want to make him uncomfortable. Do they not understand how uncomfortable it is to scratch your eye constantly? They didn't ask what we wanted to do. They didn't ask us anything they just said they would refer us to Riley so they could put him under to get the contact in. It has now been a week since they saw him and no referral has been sent to Riley. I have called multiple times to try to get them to send the referral someplace more local so they can do it without putting him under. Every time I call they either put me through to voicemail or say they will call back and don't.

I visited the goodwill this morning for a quick trip to see what I couldn't live without. The store…read moreseemed a bit off today, more than normal I suppose. Floors needed swept. The bathroom was filthy, and the changing rooms had a bunch of unwanted clothing in them. Typically it's not like this, someone usually is always cleaning. Also while looking through the clothing racks, I've noticed the prices went up. A lot. Especially in name brand clothing. 11.99 for a polo shirt. They are 4.99 at Walmart. 17.99 for jeans when they used to be 6.99. Used Nike shoes, don't even look new at all, very worn. New at Kohls for $59.00, 40.00 at Goodwill. I have the same exact pair on my feet from Kohls. Things like this. Now the kicker, when I got to the checkout. The older cashier told me to take all the hangers off my clothing, I'm looking at her like this is your job. Take clothing off hangers, scan & bag. She had a brace on her hand, so I helped her and did remove the hangers, the lady behind me knew I was in a lot of pain, she helped take off the hangers. Long story short, The past 3 months I've had chronic back pain, hurts 24/7. Walking, standing, moving or sitting just hurts. Pulling the hangers out of the clothing was painful on my back. Seems strange, but people with back pain will definitely understand. Today was just a very weird day at Goodwill. Also, Goodwill NO longer accepts Mad Money Coupons. Raising prices, don't accept coupons. Makes no sense to me.

We spent the entire day going shop to shop looking for "the one". We had found some nice dresses,…read morebut had made an appointment with Yes To The Dress as our final stop that day. It should have been our first stop!! Denise knew we were exhausted and she catered to us in every way. While we relaxed on comfy sofas by a fireplace, my daughter tried on dresses that Denise had pulled for her, prior to our arrival. It only took a couple before my daughter said YES to the DRESS!! It was an amazing experience in every aspect!
