We missed so many shops in Michigan because they wouldn't allow well behaved dogs! Their loss! The owner, Sabrina, is as sweet as her shop! There are SO many wonderful things at reasonable prices and the place is bigger than it looks! It's neat, tidy, and well organized. My only complaint is that it is over 2 hours from where I live! I found a sweet artist print that I took home but had to pass on a furniture piece that we didn't have room for! Don't miss this one if you love antiques, collectibles or home decor!! I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Anyway, without further ado, my review of Touches of Time Antique Mall: I love antiques! I love anything that's old, any thing that reminds me of the past. My favorite subject growing up was history... still is one of my favorite types of book to read. I just feel like I was born in the wrong time. More over, one of my favorite hobbies is shopping for home decor. I love making my home more beautiful and comfortable. Antique stores, which combine both my love of old things and my love of decor... is one of my favorite types of store to shop in. Touches of Time, is one of the better antique stores I have been to and has become one of my favorite stores in my new home town of Van Wert. I have come several times already. I have bought items for myself including beer steins, antique candle holders, and other items. I bought my friend apple some cute gifts from here, that she loved. I also came here during the 2020 Van Wert Chocolate Walk, which they were involved to giving out free chocolate. This store is just wonderful, it has items of all kinds: Christmas decorations, books, furniture, collectibles, tools, a huge grandfather clock, coins, etc. Come here often because there is always sometime new and interesting here to find. Place is huge, three floors for you to explore! What more can I say about it, except that you need to come check it out!

nice little shop in grand rapids full of all manner of trinkets and accessories large and small. a…read morewide array of vintage household goods, unique decorations, and high-end-kitsch. the owner is a pleasant lady and will actually provide helpful help while you wander about her shoppe. will try to get back here before weather happens this fall but certainly with the greening of spring. was in the area looking for a small piece of jewelry popping in on the many antique / vintage / collectibles vendors without much success. came across this shoppe as the proprietress (a charming lady) was moving items about and was greeted kindly as she set up table and chairs on the sidewalk. when she came back in April introduced herself as the owner and asked if there was anything in particular she could help me find. we made some small talk then went to the jewelry case to have a look at a tiger's eye intaglio: centurion (?) and lady in profile on a heavy silver ring. large square stone looked good on my hand and was almost a perfect fit as a pinky ring. I thought the price fair and my cousins approved when I showed it off later over lunch.

That aside, I enjoy the place and found most of the stuff for sale interesting. I'm used to antique stores being nothing but overpriced tables and chairs, and while that is here you actually mostly get to see/buy things like year books from the 30s, old signs from local businesses of the past, old very experienced tools, and many other similar items which made it almost like a very disorganized museum experience. I will definitely be returning again, there's so much and I'm sure they probably cycle some of the items given how much storage they have so it's worth checking in from time to time.
