We purchased, paid for, and accepted delivery in the same day. This time however, our purchase ( mattresses and motion base) needed to be ordered. Our main issue is that no one from Herron's will return our phone calls after leaving multiple messages. All we wanted was an update on our order status. Our salesman Michael, promised to get back with us after speaking to him on Labor Day in the store. This of course never happened. We then called back and left multiple messages for Randall the sales manager, none of which were retuned. This was no small order we placed. Based on this experience we will no longer consider Herron's for future purchases. The lack of customer service is troubling, especially when one spends as much as we did.

The shop shares a large building with a historical museum. The little village that surrounds the quilt shop is very scenic, with beautiful gardens and cute little shops. There are old time, down home country cooking type restaurants on site, so you can get lunch before you head home. One is a sit-down restaurant outside the village, another is a cafeteria inside the village. Threads of Tradition has a lot of notions, single quilt patterns, pattern books and--of course--fabric of all genres, from historical reproductions all the way up to modern. The prices on the fabric were usually very, very good in the past. They seemed lower than my area of Michigan. I used to wonder how they could do it, and figured it was due to a high volume of shoppers. Now that cotton prices are through the roof, it's hard to gauge. The prices seemed to be actually a bit higher than the shops I frequent in Michigan. At Threads of Tradition, fat quarters were priced at $3.25 today, while they're $2.75 in my part of Michigan. Still worth a visit.

I could do this myself instead of calling a plumber. I live over an hour away and simply asked them to verify a specific setting in the "Developer Options" (OEM Unlocking) and to confirm the condition of the screen (scratches/dimming) before I made the three-hour round trip. ​They absolutely refused to check the settings or provide any real details on the quality of the item. They made up multiple excuses instead of taking thirty seconds to look at the device. If a pawn shop won't verify the basic functionality or hardware status of an expensive electronic item before a customer drives long distance, they are likely hiding something or just don't care about customer service. ​Save yourself the drive and the headache. Plenty of other shops are willing to be transparent about what they are selling.
