Bought a new stihl FSA 56 weed eater, after just a month the battery went bad, had to get another…read morebattery. Then less than a hour of use the weed eater stopped working completely! I took the weed eater in for service, after almost 3 months, and many phone conversations, was told that stihl warranty rep was replacing the weed eater. Then the service guys here at ace hardware said it was a trigger, and the weed eater wasn't going to be replaced, and after another 2 weeks, was told that it needed a new motor! When I asked about the replacement that was supposed to happen, I was called a liar, and when I finally came to pick it up after it was fixed,a repair guy became rude and verbally abusive with me,I told him I don't need him to treat me like that! He then told me to "take my piece of crap" and never come back! I planned on never doing business with these people anyway. If these people treat me like this,then they will do it to you too! BEWARE! These type of businesses will never change. Once they have your money, they will treat you like garbage! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Our sales person was evidently the owner. She was most friendly & helpful. We exchanged stories about how we used some of the kitchen gadgets that were Antique and some that were very current. Pricing looked very acceptable. We particularly liked the are three manufacturers of stainless steel kitchen bowls. All of these were made for the home cook who starts with produce from scratch and preserves for cooks the same. We will be back here. I first came by Lee's Ace Hardware back on February for two reasons:…read more 1) I wanted to look thru the store and see if this was a store I could purchase hardware and other essentials from 2) I was looking to buy paint. I had just moved into my new home and some rooms needed to be repainted. I was pleased with their paint section. They sold a number of different paints by Benjamin Moore (which I have used in the past and really liked) as well as Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines. For those unfamiliar with who she is, she along with her husband Chip used to have a tv show called Fixer Upper, which I truly loved. Joanna Gaines is an amazing decorator and I had in the past bought some of her home decor online. The paint was beautiful and I almost did buy it. I may have gone with Sherwin Williams because the decorator and handyman I hired used this but it was almost painted with Magnolia Home. So if your looking for paint in the area, definitely check out Ace. I also explored the rest of the store in future occasions. They have a decently size outdoor furniture, decor and accessories area. They had some furniture I am definitely thinking about buying as well as their bird feeders/baths. I have always had them in all my homes and I am planning on having bird bath and/or bird feeders again in my new home considering there are so many in my yard. It's just a pleasure to see nature and I take pleasure and am fascinated in seeing bird fly about since I was a child. I will get to it once I am done with my major changes to my home. That said the store does have a little bit of everything but most of the departments are a bit small so you may not find everything you are looking for. For example, I couldn't find a large enough garden hose, only finding 50-75 ft hoses and I need much larger ones. Staff is super friendly, always asking if they could help you with a smile. All in all, a good hardware store and a good choice in the Van Wert area.

My first customer service rep was eating, on her laptop and phone and didn't answer when I asked for help. The second rep had no idea where to find a yardstick. Thank goodness a guy who was REALLY doing something else with another customer finally helped me! I guess they have new staff???
