I was made to think of a Hallmark Movie as we parked and headed to this shop. The decor, the smells of Christmas and the music in the shop were inviting and pleasant. We were greeted by such a nice employee who said she had been there for 15 years, since they have been open. I think this seasonal Christmas shop was even nicer than I had been told and I definitely will be going back. The prices, quality and selection were all above average. There was a very nice variety of decor.

Currently, the owners are bringing out items from an estate sale. I talked with the owner and learned that there is a Facebook page. Items are posted regularly for shoppers to comment "sold," then pick up and purchase in the next few days before it is returned to inventory. Part museum-like or like walking into my elderly parents' home, I enjoyed looking around. A lot of items are newer, so they're usable or wearable. Many items are for display or for your collective passion. Inventory depends are items the owners find. I purchased new scarves/gloves, pair of new shoes, a few rag rugs that washed nicely, and a Snow Baby figurine. There was a large collection of them. Shipping with postage is available. The shop is handicapped accessible, and a parking spot is at the door. If you're into resale, check it out.

If you have younger kids and live or work near Auburn, you need to stop at this store. They sells…read morelots of Melissa and Doug products (just look on Amazon and see how popular that brand is to know why this is a very important detail). It's a bit of an eclectic shop, offering beautiful (yet reasonably priced) jewelry, Christmas ornmanents, sport-themed novelty items (Purdue, IU, OSU, to name a few), candles and kitchenwares, and then lots and lots of children's items (not clothing, but books, games, and artsy things). The downside is that the story is NOT open Saturday NOR Sunday. The owner said she can't do 6 days a week anymore (understandable!), but I say why not try Tuesday-Saturday to help out working parents. They aren't open late either---ususally it's M-F around 10am-4:30 or so. Thus, minus one star for convenient hours. It's easy to get to, though. Right on Main Street across from Mad Anthony's. Street parking was easy enough when I went on a Monday morning. Not sure what it's like later in the day. The big seller for me was that everything seemed reasonably priced. I think 3 of the 4 things I bought were all at least 20 (up to 50%) off. The customer service was nice/friendly. All in all a terrific little find. Kind of like Hallmark meets Toys 'R Us Express with a little Bed, Bath and Beyond thrown in for good measure. Definitely plan to go back!
