Technician arrived and said the dis-connect for the furnace in the attic needed to be replaced, but he didn't have one in his truck and would have to run into town to get one. Couple of hours later he came back and installed the fuse box, but that didn't do anything. Then he said the capacitor needed to be changed, so he changed that. Total bill came to $556, which is ridicu-lous. I was charged 3 hours labor, 2 of which were for him going into town to get a part. BTW, there's a Home Depot 15 mins. from my house where he could have pur-chased one for less than $20 (he charged me $109.25). He said the furnace wasn't wired correctly, but he couldn't rewire it so he said he disconnected one of the heating elements. He said I would still have heat, but not full heat until the other heat-ing element was reconnected. Today, when I turned on the heater, there was no heat. He also tracked dirt in all over the floor.

After doing…read moresome troubleshooting Saturday morning to see if it's a simple fix, I was unable to get it back working so I decided to give them a call. They did a service call later that day which revealed that the board on my furnace was bad and needed to be replaced. They put in a temporary fix which allowed one of my 2 thermostats to directly control the AC for the entire house until then. Monday roll around, they came out and replaced the board which took a few hours. After being told it was done, there was still no air coming out of the vents. I communicated my problem and the next day, the owner had another tech out investigating my issue which revealed a slightly different issue than what it was originally believed to be. They got it figured out and got my AC working. They also came back the following day just to further troubleshoot and make sure they had the issue fully resolved, then also fully explained to me what was the issue and the steps they took to resolve it. I felt like they took the effort to make sure my issue was resolved properly. I stand by any business that values customer service. I recommend these guys!

I contacted five reputable AC companies to get estimates. Out of all of them, Happy Air came in with the lowest quote. Before making my decision, I called Justin, the owner of Happy Air, and told him I was leaning toward giving him the job but wanted to visit his place of business first. He was more than happy to provide the address off State Highway 2978. I visited and was very impressed: a well-organized shop, a clean office, a large, fully stocked warehouse with condensers, evaporators, parts -- everything needed for quick, reliable service. His fleet of well-equipped service vans gave me even more confidence in the operation. Once I saw the professionalism behind the scenes, I called Justin back and officially awarded him the job. His team started that Monday morning. They removed my old condenser unit outside, along with the evaporator coil, furnace, and plenum in the attic, and replaced everything with a brand-new Trane system. The outside installation looks excellent, and the new compressor runs quietly and efficiently. Inside the attic, I personally inspected the new evaporator, furnace, plenum, ductwork, and piping -- and I can confidently say the workmanship was clean, professional, and done right. As a mechanical engineer, I'm very familiar with HVAC systems, and I was truly impressed by the quality of the work and attention to detail.
