Private party is what brought us here in the dead of winter. A drive in movie was a great way for us to get together without having to risk being truly together. We could then later talk about our shared experience. My children loved "getting out," and doing something different. A drive in is the perfect activity for these crazy times. Grounds aren't in the best condition. The screen itself was in good condition though. Picture and sound quality were also good. Some other Yelpers complained about an echo. This did happen to us when we rolled down our windows a bit. I am guessing the echo has something to do with this. Being parked next to a car who's sound is turned up high could also create that. If facing the screen, there is a playground off to the right of the screen. Being both cold, and social distancing, none of us utilized the area. It is nice to know that the option exists.

What a GEM!! People in this area are so lucky to have this. Where I live, we don't have drive in theaters. Loved seeing Smokey and the Bandit. Great food, excellent customer service. I always wanted to do a drive in movie, such an amazing memory now!

I had the best time. It was my first time at the Drive In. I have had a lot of anxiety about COVID and being near people, but I was able to stay in my car and not be around anyone! They also will let you bring in outside food, so being Gluten Free, I could pay $5 and bring in my own food, which was excellent. I will definitely be back. Such fun!

This place is so cool! If you've never been to a drive-in, then you HAVE to try it. Bring your lawn chairs and a cooler if you like, it's no worries and fun for the whole family. Perfect place to kick back and enjoy a cigar on a warm summer's night. The line for the bathroom can get a bit long, so it's best to plan for that. You don't want any accidents with the little ones lol

Truly one of the most treasured childhood memories I have is going to the drive-in with my family on a warm summer night, piggin' out on snacks, and laughing until my face hurts. The Starlite Drive-in is something that everyone should experience at least once in their life. Having been here too many times to count as a child, we recently took a trip out this past weekend to see Despicable Me and Grown Ups 2 with some fellow Yelpers. Having come back as an adult, I couldn't help but feel nostalgia just oozing from my veins. We played cards on a blanket before the movie started. We shared good conversation as we watched the sunrise go down, and our anticipation grew as the opening credits began! Two movies for the price of one at $8.50 is crazy and a nice treat for anyone. It's $5 to bring in as much food/drinks as you'd like, and you get a $2 concession stand coupon. If you are looking for something super fun and different, the drive-in is the way to go! Two pieces of advice: BRING BUG SPRAY, and bring chairs and blankeys to sit out in front of your car to watch the movie, it's way more fun that way ;)

Bethel is one of the last places you would expect to find a drive-in theater. A backwoods town that is home to one of my best friends, Bethel is on the lower eschelon of the rural towns that surround Cincinnati. It is the only place I've ever seen a Ben Franklin five & dime, though. Anyway, the Starlite Drive-In is one of two drive-ins left in Cincinnati and it's such a fun place to catch a movie. There is a double feature every night and if you get lucky you'll be interested in seeing both. Obviously they don't start until sundown, so if you stick around for both don't be surprised if you don't come home until around 2 or 2:30AM. A few tips. First, the concession stand is pretty good and they stress that it's the best way for Starlite to stay in business. You are able to bring in your own food but I feel compelled to be a patron of the concession stand because I don't want the Starlite to go away. Secondly, if there is one or two highly anticipated movies, GET THERE EARLY. I can't stress enough that cars start lining up two or three hours before the show starts if the movie is a blockbuster. This leads me to my last tip: bring something to do while you're waiting. A board game or cards, you can get bored very quickly waiting for the movie to start. Trust me: the sun never goes down quick enough. Once it does, though, be ready for some of the most fun you've had at a movie.

There seems to be a resurgence across the nation in Drive-In theaters. We make it a tradition to take a trip each year, and so we invited some friends to join us with their kiddos. And that's where I think Drive-Ins are headed: make them about the kids. It's not "make-out"-Greace-style as the movies portray; Starlite is a great time for a family. We paid the $5 to bring our own food in. I'd suggest this option. It seems the menu was filled with snack-bar style options - but we wanted to remain on the healthy side, so we brought our own. Only $5 and it keep the place running while we can eat whatever we want. The playground has some old-school style swings on it, there's a small field to run in and seems that there is no shortage of children. Our family felt safe and sound within the theater-grounds. Planes: that was the movie we watched. If Yelp released movie reviews, I'd give it a 2-star rating. Yikes, Disney. Just, marketing-oriented-Yikes. Arrive early so you can park in a good spot & get the kids worn out. See you soon, Starlite!

    Somewhat small, but serviceable screen.

It's the safest place to see new movies, because if you're in the car, people can see and enjoy better.

I really like this movie theater!…read more First, the concessions area is great. The popcorn actually tastes like it has real butter instead of that super artificial oil flavor. They also have a small bar, so you can grab a glass of wine with your movie, plus the usual candy and snacks. And if you're a popcorn person, you can get a seriously huge bag. I saw someone walking out with a massive family sized bag and honestly respected it. The theater itself is very cozy and has that vintage charm you don't get at newer places. Even though it's small, it didn't feel stuffy or cold inside. I was totally comfortable in shorts. The seating is classic old-fashioned theater seating, no recliners or fancy upgrades, which honestly kind of adds to the nostalgic feel. That said, if you're looking for a super high-tech movie experience with perfect projection and luxury seats, you might want a bigger theater. The projector was a tiny bit oversized for the screen so a sliver of the image was cut off, which wasn't terrible but did catch my eye. Still, it didn't ruin the movie. One thing I loved is that they show older films, reruns, and niche movies along with new releases. It's a fun place to see something a little less mainstream while still having a cute date night in the heart of Mariemont Village. Overall, it's a charming, cozy theater that feels special in a way big chains don't. Perfect for a casual date night or a relaxed movie evening after getting dinner in the village.

There was a glitch at the beginning when the sound wasn't working, but they got that fixed in 5 minutes or so and restarted the movie. As the movie was playing, they even went out and changed the marquee to a personalized proposal sign! It was so cute! The employees were very friendly & helpful and the theater & bathrooms were clean and well cared for.
