The staff are amazing at this location! Assistant manager Audra is a blessing and makes sure there are plenty of staff and the food is fresh, as well as cleanliness through the whole location. Jacob makes the absolute BEST grilled chicken sandwiches in the tristate! I literally come here from an hour away weekly because of these 2! Our local locations are terrible and I have begged them to get closer to me lol. The seats are comfy, though more like racing seats instead of recliners. The theaters are clean and generally in good condition, the bathrooms are usually clean and in good repair as well. I've been coming to the Milford theater for over 20 years, and my family has made countless memories here. We've always loved supporting our local theater, which is why it's disappointing to see some of the recent changes. We were excited to come for the opening weekend of *Spider Man*, and the experience was frustrating from the moment we arrived. The new concession system created extremely long lines, and it appears that all food orders now have to be placed at the main concession stand. In the past, I always ordered meals from the side concession stands, which made perfect sense since I wasn't purchasing popcorn. On our visit, I planned to order cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and fries for the kids, and mozzarella sticks. When I went to the side concession stand, the menu screens were turned off, the registers were covered, and signs directed everyone to the already packed main concession line. The area looked closed, and there was no way to order food there anymore. This new process does not feel like an improvement. Instead of having separate lines based on what customers are purchasing, everyone is forced into one enormous line. Customers buying a full meal should not have to wait behind everyone buying popcorn and drinks just to place an order. Previously, I could quickly order my meal, receive a buzzer, enjoy the previews, and pick up my food when it was ready. Now, I have to wait in a very long line just to get the buzzer before waiting again for the food. Due to not wanting to miss the beginning of the movie, I ended up skipping food altogether. That is revenue the theater lost, and it was not because I did not want to buy dinner. I simply could not justify standing in such a long line. I've noticed during my last couple of visits over the past month that the theater seems to be heading in the wrong direction. These changes may have been intended to simplify operations, however, from a customer's perspective, they have made the experience much less enjoyable. I truly hope this is temporary or that the policy is reconsidered. Otherwise, my family will likely start eating at places like Red Robin, Wendy's, or Gold Star before coming to the movies. I would much rather continue buying our meals inside the theater, as we always have. I want to continue supporting this theater because it has been a special place for my family for decades. My children have grown up coming here, and we have always enjoyed spending our evenings here. However, forcing every customer into one massive concession line, regardless of what they are ordering, is frustrating, inefficient, and takes away from the overall experience. I sincerely hope management listens to customer feedback and brings back the convenience of ordering meals at the side concession stands. Loyal customers notice these changes, and I would hate to see such a great local theater lose the community support it has built over the years. read more

It's a standard theater. The seats recline and the arm rests are liftable so lovers can get comfy. The food is good and won't break the bank. The temperature was good. They have a really cool closed captioning device that hooks into your cup holder. I was not aware of this option. There are hearing devices as well. read more

Went to see the new F1 movie. The sound in the theater was terrible. Theater was wired and movie was suppose to be surround sound. The only sound for our showing was coming from the left corner of the screen. It was hard to even make out what was going on because the sound from the other theaters were bleeding in to ours. It seems like these theaters are doing everything to discourage people from still coming to the theater. Next time I'm just going to stay home. read more

We went to a movie yesterday (12/22/24). While the ticket takers were very polite, the teenage girls working the concessions were rude, slow and didn't appear to care that they were supposed to be working. They ignored us when we first got there and stood around talking (three of them) while only one made food. They all took turns getting us one of our items (while standing next to each other the entire time....not sure if someone was training). We were very polite and only one of the girls even spoke to us. I'm not sure who was in charge (or if anyone was) but the service was terrible and the girls were all very cold and impolite. This is an update to a past review. This theater has improved it's check-in process if you buy online. They have a kiosk now that you can scan to have your tickets printed instead of having to wait in line. The last few times I've gone, there's nobody at the beer stand, but a manager comes quickly and doesn't take so long to serve you. Seats are comfortable, temp is perfect. I keep going back and I am glad they're here to serve Milford residents with movies! Now, they just have to get onboard with mobile ordering, and it would be great! read more

I like this movie theater because it has great prices! And I don't need seats that recline to enjoy a movie (and the seats are actually pretty comfortable). HOWEVER, I was there a few days ago during the week (and it did not appear to be busy) and there was popcorn everywhere...it was all over the floor walking into the theater, all over the floor by the seats etc. It was not a busy during that time, so I have no idea why it was such a mess. My feet were also sticking to the floor. Please, please keep it clean and nice like it used to be! Pretty lackluster cinema. While it's not necessary for theaters to have the reclining chairs to create a good experience, if they don't have high quality chairs then they have to makeup somewhere. Unfortunately, I don't see Milford 16 as a theater that expresses urgency in creating a great cinematic experience. The overall quality of the seats is below average, and there is not enough leg room before you are kicking the chair in front of you. The entire building seems dirty. We walked into our theater 10 minutes before screening and there was an entire spilled Slurpee all over the floor beneath my seat. On top of that, every floor that wasn't carpeted was sticky. I didn't even bother with the bathrooms. Sound wise, screen wise. They are on par with most theaters but that's not saying much, you come to expect that. There are so many cinemas that are doing it better these days that going to a place like this just doesn't seem worth it. read more

I guess I don't go here that often to really get a feel for why the reviews are so bad. I'm here maybe 2-3 times a year, if that. Just here over Christmas break to see the latest Star Wars movie. I was not impressed by my first visit to this theater. I was excited because it was a Rave theater and I used to love the way Rave had their theaters back in the day. Upon walking in you see that Cinemark has taken over..which isn't awful considering there are plenty of decent Cinemark theaters around. But the exterior and interior have not been updated..at all..it felt like a Rave out of the early 2000s in there. My problems with this theater stretch across almost all area of the movie going experience: Concession: The line wasn't long but it also didn't move. Waited at least ten minutes. Ordered nachos and was then sent to stand in another line at a different concession area. Once we got through that line were told that they weren't ready and asked if they could bring them to our theater instead when they were..so weird. Theater: Obviously not an updated theater. It was an old school steep stadium seating theater. The seats were some of the more uncomfortable seats I've experienced in some time. They were the old school theater seats..the back of the seat was low..like doesn't even cover your back low. It was stiff and just overall uncomfortable. Audio/Visual Quality: In a word - poor. The film itself was dark. The audio was low and hard to hear at times..which sucked because of the.. Audience: The theater was probably a little less than half full..and the majority of the people there were just the worst. Talking through the entire movie (not whispering full on talking)..on their cell phones..getting up and down non-stop throughout the entire movie. I know what you're saying..how can this be the theaters fault. Well consider this..we went on a Sunday morning..usually the best crowds of the week. The people that usually go to these showings are regulars and more respectful audiences (which is why we like them). So if these are their regulars, that means that this behavior is acceptable here, it's condoned, it's never been corrected so everyone feels free to act awful. Just not acceptable. Bottom line: I don't see any reason why I would need to come to this theater again. There is nothing that makes it a desirable place to watch a movie..at all. The movie theater itself is nice. It's not as updated as other movie theaters; there are no reclining seats. They have some really big theaters and the bathrooms are clean. The reason for the 3 rating is the staff. I went on a busy night and right as I walk in there's a line and only one person working the ticket line. Then something happens to the machine which makes the line longer, which isn't necessarily their fault but no one stepped in which made the wait time 20 mins. Then the wait line for the concession stand was also long because once again there was only one person working. And then that one person couldn't get our order right. 2 large drinks and 1 large pop corn is really not that complicated. Probably won't come back here if I don't have to. read more

Manager Chad endangered my mother. He was rude, vulgar, and disrespectful! Shame a beautiful theater has the WORST "leadership" I've ever seen. If I could give 0 stars I would. He would not hold a conversation with me or my mother or my family. Treated us like high school children not paying customers. Double standards with the "bag" policy. Told my mother she couldn't have a bag? No signs. No security. He's making the rules and what information does he have to back this? None. Every other customer had a bag or a purse and yet he refused to allow my sick mother to bring in her bag? Ridiculous. Never returning and I hope Chad goes head to head with the wrong customer. Honestly, the only reason I come to this theatre is because on Tuesday they have $5.50 tickets. Now that we have gotten that out of the way let's move on to the negatives first. This place is pretty outdated. The seats are uncomfortable and the ticket prices on any day but Tuesday are just as high as anywhere else. They don't sell alcohol and the food selection is mediocre. The building itself is in the middle of nowhere. Definitely not a place that I would start a date night out at. The positive, the place is always spotless and the staff is super friendly. They have a lot of options for food, but of course with any theater you get that up charge. My son and his two friends went here last night to see the 8 pm showing of Deadpool. They purchased their tickets, went through the concession line, bought their snacks and proceeded to the movie. At the checkpoint, where you give your tickets to the worker to be let into the theater, they were stopped by the ticket taker who asked to see their IDs. Apparently, Deadpool is rated R (I was not aware of this) and my son and his friends are 16. They were denied entry. My son called his father who came down to the theater and talked to the Manager. My husband explained to the manager, upon arriving, that it was ok for my son to see the movie. The manager explained that the policy was that he had to accompany my son and his friends into the movie. After a lengthy processes of filling out paperwork, the boys were given refunds. I do understand that is the policy for R rated movies, however, I find the enforcement of it very inconsistent. If you have to be 17, then check them when they buy the tickets, not after they've purchased the tickets, spent $20 on concessions, and THEN get denied entry into the theater. That part wasn't refunded. Thankfully, my adult son took them back later in the evening to see the movie, only to be greeted by a snide remark from the ticket taker "I see you finally found someone to go with you into the movie". The boys were upset from their earlier experience and that was certainly not called for. We won't be returning. read more

Recently stopped here with my husband to see a movie. I used to go to this theater a lot more often, but it seems to have lost some of its luster lately. My latest visit was no exception. We arrived to find some confused patrons being lectured by what I assume was a manager. He was telling them about being sure to check ONLY the Cinemark website for movie times. When we came up to buy tickets, we ran into the same issue. The movie times we had found listed a showing at 7:45 but the manager told us that showing was not available. Then he launched into the same speech with us. It felt more like scolding than information, but we bought the ticket for the next real showing (an hour later) and settled in to kill some time. Curiosity got the better of us, so we looked up the show times on the official Cinemark site and sure enough, the times listed there were incorrect. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, he said, "I've been telling people that all night and you're the first ones that could give me the correct answer". What the heck was that supposed to mean? If he was going to read us all the riot act about checking the official website, don't you think he could have taken the time to make sure the times listed on said site were accurate? Or at least been a little less accusatory and condescending to the few patrons who had come out despite the cold weather and dismal theater amenities? The concession stands are minimally staffed and, like most theaters, overpriced. There were stands out for flavored popcorn toppings, but the flavored containers were missing, just a bunch of regular salt shakers in their place. Since we had a long wait, we sat down to watch previews on the TV suspended from the ceiling, but had to move because only one of the TVs was working. Another time I was here, I stopped by the customer service desk to speak with someone but after 10 minutes of being ignored by every passing worker and still unable to find someone willing to speak with me, I just gave up and left. This theater seems to have gone downhill pretty quickly, which is frustrating because it's a great location. The staff used to be friendly and helpful but now they're hard to find and, like the man we encountered the other night, they appear offended to have to deign to take your money. A little bit of customer service goes a long way with me. I don't require much, but for my first interaction of the evening to be a scolding was just enough to make all of the other small things add up to a big reason why I probably won't go to this theater again read more

This movie theatre is incredibly dated. While it is on the cheaper side, you get what you pay for. Very behind the times with all the newer movie theaters around. On a plus, it's easy to navigate around unlike some of the newer theaters. read more

My wife and I are regulars at this theater. We enjoy it because: (1.) It's inexpensive, especially for retirees. We get a movie, popcorn and a soda for less than $25. (2.) It's comfortable. Reclining, heated seats? Please! Just a regular, roomy theater seat with ample leg room (I'm 6'4") is all we need and we get it here. (3.) The food is fine. Freshly popped popcorn and, if you need lunch, try one of the Pizza Hut pizzas. They are very good. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on when you go and what movie you see but we like this theater just fine and highly recommend it especially for seniors or families on a budget. read more

Maybe I'm spoiled about movies or whatever but I don't like this location. This place used to be called the Rave theatre but cinemark acquired it I guess? I don't know. Location is good--theres a lot to eat nearby. However, the concession stand food is expensive (what movie theatre isn't?) What I REALLY don't like is the obvious lack of thorough cleaning. I've been here twice now, and the first time I've been here it smelled like bleach/chlorine. I came here again and it was raining outside. That's no excuse for the wet dog smell inside the theatre. Make sure to get here at least 10 minutes before the show. If you come for the summer movie, go to the kiosks and buy your tickets there. Also, don't rely on the popcorn filling you up. I've read a lot of negative comments here about this theater..It seems people will NEVER be satisfied and will complain @ the drop of a hat about almost anything....I can only pray and hope that this movie theater doesn't adopt this so called update that so many seem to complain about..The philosophical: Moviegoing is one of our last great democratic cultural experiences that we have left....Complaining because the seats don't fit your fancy is ridiculous...(Stay at home on your comfy couch)..Upgrading to luxury recliners not only reduces revenue for the theater but where it normally could seat many more, recliners take up more space thus reducing seating capacity thus less people are able to see a show when they wanted too...The notion of choosing a seat in the auditorium makes me bristle. When I go to the movies, I'm happy for it to be an experience where everyone in the theater feels like they're all in it together on the same terms...Not so with luxury recliner reserved seating..It just means that late comers will distract others already well into watching the movie. .Just beause their seats had already been reserved...If someone sits beside you and if they're a talker, texter..ect you're screwed...You simply can't get up and move to another seat...It's a hard-to-implement system that will ultimately increase dissatisfaction and add to the annoyances of modern moviegoing rather than reduce them. It also breaks with the democratic spirit of movie going's past.....Like I've said before I hope this theater never changes...The prices are cheap compared to other so called upgraded theaters....Be careful what you wish for !..I see it this way, first come ..first serve...No reserve anything !...They're trying to make movie going like buying tickets ahead for a concert, a play, sporting events !....Sorry I'm not buying it...Going to the movies is more of spur of the moment event...Leave it that way ! read more
