It's certainly a stunning property a lot of history behind it and from what it looks like typically it's a venue for weddings. I had never heard of this property before despite being a Cincinnati native. I would imagine this would be a stunning venue for a wedding. Hopefully they have other events for the public: this was a very neat opportunity to see a musical and to get to visit the historic house and grounds.

ABSOLUTELY CHARMING! Peterloon made all of my wedding dreams come true. My first attraction to this…read morevenue was the fact that you could have every wedding event in one spot - ceremony, cocktails, and dinner. Upon visiting Peterloon we were in love -- the charm is unmatched. We had our ceremony in the sunken garden, cocktails inside/outside, and a tented reception. The following really made the day spectacular: - Jamie and the Peterloon staff went above and beyond to meet any needs we could have. - After a rainy week the grass drained really well and pavers were perfect for the reception. - The air conditioned bridal suite - Ability to use baby grand piano - Fans in house - NO CICADAS SOMEHOW! - Working with Samantha Joy Events - she knows everything there is to know about Peterloon! Despite being a 90 degree day, guests were mostly in the shade for the ceremony and could cool off in the house all night long. If you have any hesitations - I truly think a rainy wedding at Peterloon would still beat a good weather day at any other venue! Thank you for everything, Peterloon staff! We picked this location initially with the guest count being are only criteria, but we were almost immediately surprised by so much more. The view, the gorgeous interiors, and the rich history were all things that finally led us to choose this as our venue for our wedding. But, above all else, was the venue owner - Roger Swonger. He went above and beyond to make our day as special as it possibly could be, and with his help, our wedding day went absolutely perfect. With just one planning session, and a couple of tours, Roger was able to guide us through the perfect day. He communicated well with all of the vendors, was able to provide an amazing wait staff, and bartender, and even thought of the small details - placing some flowers on our small wedding cake, putting a pen by the guest book, etc. Most importantly to us, as a now husband and husband duo, was finding a venue that was accepting. This was Roger to a tee - not only did he treat us with kindness, he guided us towards other LGBTQ+ friendly vendors as well. With his support and guidance, we had a wedding that completely surpassed our exceptions of what a wedding could ever look like in an area like Kentucky. I don't think there is any universe where we could have had a better wedding, and this is all thanks to Roger, and all thanks to having our wedding ceremony at Wiedemann Hill Mansion.

The mansion was decked out in full Christmas and there was ample parking. You get out of your car and the view just stops you it is so beautiful. The whole staff was so sweet during the whole wedding and I was impressed how pretty much everything came with the venue. The food from Vanderman's (SP?) was so incredibly tasty. Also loved that they had porch heaters and blankets so you could still enjoy the view and be warm. The place is perfect for a 60 person wedding and really not crowded at all.

It is one of those places that reminds you not to underestimate Ohio's natural beauty. There are hiking challenges too you can sign up for prizes. There is a really cute nature themed playground that is perfect for kids. This place also makes an amazing venue for events. You can rent spaces for parties or weddings, which is my dream venue. The welcome center is one of my favorite parts. They have live animals that are very well cared for, including rehabilitated raptors, which is so cool to see up close. There is also a large gift shop, a cozy lounging area, and coffee from Coffee Emporium available to buy. It is a great place to relax and take everything in, especially if you enjoy birdwatching. They also host seasonal events, and their Christmas lights event is one of my favorites. It really brings the whole place to life in a special way. The staff here are consistently kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to talk with you. They are always willing to answer questions and make the experience even better. Overall, this is such a peaceful, educational, and well maintained place. Definitely somewhere you can keep coming back to and still enjoy every time.

It's $20 per adult and $8 per child, with a small savings for members. We'd love to go back during the summer months, perhaps for another one of their many events.
