Working with Laura, Carla, Claire, Baylee, and Elizabeth (HUGE shoutout to all) made everything so seamless and stress free. They set up the barn with beautiful florals to make my surprise proposal one my fiancée and I will never forget. This was such a delight to walk into a Victorian home where the dining area we were sitting in was decked out and I felt like I had walked into a scene of "Downton Abbey." The tea was delicious! All the food was beautifully presented (Unfortunately for those who are gluten and dairy free, make sure you eat beforehand, none of the options cater to those limitations, however they did have fruit kabobs!). The tour of the home was a fun exploration and our tour guide was very informative of the time period and the residents of the home back in the 1800's.

While we waited, we tried the air dried clay (just one of many cool art project options they offer). The Paint Playground itself was so fun, my five year old loved it. You get goggles, a poncho, and full permission to fling, splatter, and smear paint everywhere. They will even take pictures on your phone while you're in there. The real MVPs, though, are the staff. Every single person we interacted with was super friendly, helpful, and clearly love what they do. It made the whole experience that much better. If you or your kids love to be creative or love to get messy, this is the perfect place to my daughter is already asking when we can go back.

It didn't look very well attended and now we know why. They must have known something that we didn't. I have been to several Mother's Day Buffets there and I know that they know better than to charge $55.00/person for the cheap garbage they foisted on the guests. How many ways can they serve PORK(the cheapest meat on the market and half the price of a pound of hamburger), along with dozens of hard boiled eggs at less than 2.00/doz., some beef that was tough and obviously a low price cut or mystery meat. The salads were sparse, there were no cheese selections at all, no juices served, and not a single vegetable was on the menu. I don't believe that I have EVER been to a buffet that didn't at least serve green beans(but then, right now they cost more/pound than pork). The buffet was FULL of "filler foods" like donuts and muffins. The service was terrible. If you wanted something to drink, you had to go get it yourself. That "buffet" wasn't even worth $150. let alone $275.00 There was a sign out front that said "Mother's Day Buffet". We will not be stupid enough to be "taken" a second time. We will NOT be back.
