I also appreciated the soothing music, friendliness of the staff, and the overall ambiance. Needless to say, I will definitely be returning!

I schedule an appointment for gel pedicure and manicure usually one person does my pedicure and then I transition to doing my nails. I can only assume that the nail techs were ready to go and that's why they were rushing. They did my feet and nails at the same time. This process was completely over stimulating and in no way relaxing. When I walked in I had a specific vision for what I wanted for my pedicure and manicure. I showed the pictures on my phone and the nail tech told me she could only do two colors and she was unable to do the three colors which the image I wanted had. I said okay and picked my two colors. The person doing my feet had a specific name for what I wanted and she told the person doing my nails. When My feet were done u assumed we would transition to do the design I asked for . None of that was done. My toes were one color. I asked what happen to the two colors I asked for and everyone looked crazy. The person doing my nails said she could no longer do the style and suggested an alternate design that I was going to be charged for. I was totally disappointed but what made this trip to this salon more upsetting is I got my nails done for a dream trip I was taking 3 days later. My nail appointment was on a Wednesday evening. We flew out Saturday morning by the time we boarded the airplane I had completely lost one full nail. Not chipped completely gone! By Sunday I had four nails lifting. I opted to remove the nails so this would not frustrate me during my trip. This whole salon experience was a waste of time and money. I won't be able to go back.

I believe because I did not live in the area and I did not want the higher service of a manicure/pedicure nor did I want gel polish. When asked why it was not $18 it was told $10 to take the polish off I had on. I have never been charged to take polish off when getting my nails done. Now if I came in just for that then okay. They inflated the price because they wanted a higher sale. It's said to say it's typical when you walk in and ask for one thing all they care about selling you something else. The idea should be let's do what they ask exceptionally well and they will come back!! I can say I would never go back.

Here's the reality: sometimes the nail techs (including my girl, Mary) are chatty, and sometimes they aren't. But.. the same goes for me. As a customer, we should always be prepared to be gracious when our nail tech is having an I'm-just-here-to-do-my-job kind of day. At the end of the day, what I look for in a salon is skill level, cost-transparency, and cost-predictability... all of which I've found at Apple Nails, which is why I returned there after my move, and have continued to go there all these years later. My nails look great, and I'm not surprised by sudden cost changes. Mary, Shannon, and Nancy do a great job. Cash is preferable, but credit/debit cards are accepted (although there's a 3% fee added.). I definitely recommend!
