My two sisters and I (and our significant others) came to celebrate a milestone birthday and were beyond impressed with this place. The ambiance is fantastic! The courtyard is beautiful as well as the patio in the back. The decorating that Kitty has done throughout the inside of the house is really beautiful. And as David says, "We want to concentrate on two things: The bed, and the breakfast." And that is exactly what they have done here. Each evening, David will come to offer your breakfast choices for the following morning. And it's not just bacon and eggs people... these are GOURMET offerings all made fresh on site using fresh ingredients. We had a choice of a peach cobbler oatmeal that had peaches from the tree in the backyard even and it was delicious! There was also one addition that just made my stay even more superb... a little dog named "Jack" and he is the most precious (smiling) doggie that I have ever seen! So stinkin' CUTE! Anyway... if you are ever in the area (checking out Frank Lloyd Wright's work) you should definitely give this place a shot. They are phenomenal! Thank you David and Kitty! Looking around for some interesting and fun options we stumbled upon this B&B and decided to call to see if there were any openings. We were in luck! We quickly gave them some information and made our way down there. Upon our entry we were greeted warmly by Liberty the proprietor. She was wonderful and made check in super easy. I made myself some tea, helped myself to some gingersnap cookies, and got settled in for the night. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower had a never ending (or so it seemed) supply of hot water and there was more than enough towels. I quickly felt at easy in the room and knew I would be getting a good nights rest. Breakfast, Liberty informed us, was held at two times, 7:30 and 9am. We picked to have ours early, which I was against, but it turned out wonderful. We got to eat a nice early breakfast and then went back to bed! Check out was at 11 so we got a few more hours of relaxing in before we hit the hiking trails. Yes, a late start, but the bed was too comfortable to leave! Breakfast was delicious. Scrambled eggs, french toast, sausage, and a fruit cup. They had orange juice, coffee, and tea. What a treat! The food was perfect. I could not ask for a better breakfast. This place was perfect. I would stay here again in a second. It was also so close to the attractions of Ohiopyle that it would be stupid not to suggest everyone to stay here!

About 5 minutes from falling water, 20 minutes from kentuck knob, 10 minutes from the windmills across from the stone quarry (worth a gander!) and I dunno. 10 minutes from Ohiopyle park? This is located in the quiet, peaceful little town of Confluence. It's very close to amazing biking and hiking trails and kayaking, fishing, and rafting. The house we stayed in (their are several options) had 3 bedrooms with baths. The common rooms are spacious and gorgeously appointed. The decor is very tasteful Arts and Crafts period. The owner, Robin, is a potter, and you can see her pottery throughout and buy it too. The huge kitchen and dining room are available for your use. A full breakfast is provided. There are TVs in each room and the lounge area. It is IMMACULATE. All COVID precautions in place and we felt very safe. It is dog friendly which made a big difference to us. The charge is $20 per night. Our dog loved it Robin and Dan are lovely hosts and did everything to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Super nice people. There's not a whole lot to do if you're not into nature here. Eating establishments limited although we did have a good meal at Rivers Edge restaurant. The hiking is excellent.

They picked us up in town and dropped us back at the trial. Made it easy. And we Really enjoyed talking with them. Had a great time meeting and petting all the animals. The cats were super friendly. Comfortable beds. And breakfast was great. Plenty of food to fuel our ride. It was a relaxing night. I highly recommend it.

Recently came thru town on a Cycling trip…read morefrom North of Pittsburg to Washington DC and spent the evening / night & morning at Kim & Jeff's place. Having raised animals for decades we really enjoyed the numerous variety and species that made the backdrop for their place. Located up in the hills behind ''downtown' Confluence it was a nice change from the standard places we were stopping as it had an awesome 'country appeal' to it. We were invited for a crab leg dinner with them that Kim was preparing but had plans out in town already. The breakfast however I can report was first rate and powered our ride up over the continental divide the following morning. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to stay & explore. We'll be stopping again on next years trip.

This is my return to HVF Just came from an after wedding…read moreparty for 100 people and it was out of a story book. SPECTACULAR! Beautiful horses and the scenery..to die for! The Barns were decorated with twinkling white lights and the stage was jumping with the sounds of "the girls in black hats". The Farm has a 5 star bed and breakfast for $125/night!! We went on hay rides and rode horses and ate like a feast from the romans! The hospiality and atmosphere has me still daydreaming I am there. A definite recomemdation for any gathering!

It was incredible to see demos of this gaited breed that has its origins in Puerto Rico and Colombia to be shown in their splendor right here in the Northeast. The farm has impeccable stalls for horses, a huge indoor show arena with skyklights, an outdoor arena and round pen, all with glorious views of the open rolling hills of the "Laurel Highlands." I can't wait to go back to stay at the elegant but reasonably priced bed and breakfast right on the premises. The day I was there, I noticed they were setting up for a private event, a birthday luncheon on the deck of the guest house with a top chef, live Spanish guitar, and roses on the tables, it looked fabulous, and so romantic. The ideal cozy getaway spot for R & R, or as an event space or party space, HVF makes you appreciate the beauty of the country. Horses + hospitality, a winning combination, with views as far as the eye can see!!

A wonderful b&b! I met up with some family and we all stayed for a few days using the Inn as a home…read morebase while we explored the area. The innkeeper, Scott, knows how to make you feel at home. For breakfast, there is actually a menu where you get to choose from quite a few choices which is very rare in a b&b. Everything was delicious. He also provides snacks and wine every day in the late afternoon and there are always sweet treats like cookies and brownies available as well as coffee and teas. There is a small gift shop where they sell some Lakepoint Inn shirts, sweatshirts and mugs as well as bottles of wine. There are so many wonderful seating areas, all with views of the lake whether you want to sit in rocking chairs or comfy wicker chairs on the porch or at some bistro tables on the back patio or Adirondack chairs by the fire pit. As a free service he also offers hour long rides on his pontoon boat every morning (weather permitting), you just need to sign up. There are also kayaks and canoes available to use for free, you just need to sign a waiver. Scott is a gracious host and the Inn is wonderfully appointed, you lack for nothing. The only complaint I would have is that if you stay in the Vagabond Room, be aware that because it is on the ground floor and right beside the kitchen, you will hear people talking and the hustle and bustle of breakfast being prepared. Not a problem if you're an early riser at about 5:30. But the room was huge! And felt very luxurious with bookshelves and a seating area and fireplace. We will definitely be returning to this Inn!!!!!! I can't say enough great things! Oh, also the location is fantastic, you're near everything!

The innkeepers are very attentive to detail, the staff is great, the rooms are lovely, breakfast is excellent and made-to-order. It's a historic inn -- no elevators, for instance -- but it really feels like a place you want to go back to over and over.

She was so kind and generous. The rooms were nice and comfortable--the sheets were so soft! There was a giant soaking tub that I regret not taking advantage of--maybe next time! Definitely want to come back!!
