The front porch complete with wooden rocking chairs; the back exit a large patio with four.tables and accompanying chairs. Plenty of.shade and relaxing garden. We spent two nights heading back to CLE via Shanksville (Flt 93) and Johnstown (1880's Flood). I referred to this as our Vacation of Death) Gettysburg, 5000; Shanksville, 40, Johnstown, 2000! Gettysburg brought tears to.my eyes as I thought of all these young lives lost to man's stupidity. Fly 93's heroics and Johnstown's resilience. On the upside, we saw Flank Loyd Wright's. "Falling Water" and spent two nights at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, which BTW is a 5 Star.

Positives: Dawn was extremely friendly, and we got to meet one of her kittens. I think she genuinely wanted us to feel welcome. The B&B is in a convenient location if you want to explore the shops around the square. Negatives: Everything in the room felt like it needed an update. The bed itself and bathroom were clean, but the rest of the room didn't feel extremely clean. The carpet was stained pretty badly, which gives me "Icks". The shower is also VERY small. I'm not sure how a large man would make that work. The biggest problem we had was that, when she took us to our room, she informed us that we would be having breakfast at a restaurant down the street in the morning. She handed us a beat up menu and said to tell them we were a guest there. We were pretty taken aback. Part of the reason we booked this B&B, or any B&B for that matter, is the homemade breakfast experience, prepared by your host. The description on the website, bragged about her wonderful breakfasts. Once we figured out that the "restaurant " was actually a bar and grill, we decided to go find a good breakfast out of town. So, we paid twice for our breakfast. Our trip to Ligonier was nice, but the B&B experience was a little disappointing. You may want to make sure she's serving breakfast

I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. I don't think you can fully absorb the experience in one trip. Pat is a gem. Her attention to detail is impeccable. If she ever stops running the B&B, I hope Broadway Manor is turned into a museum. It's definitely worth the money.

My mom and I stayed for a few days and were in awe of how sweet and cozy (and affordable) this BnB truly is. The BnB serves as their family farm home and the upper floor is the BnB. They just recently built the home with accents of wood and stones collected from the farm itself. Kelly (owner) welcomes you with plenty of info on activities in the area, and their family is delightful. She cooks a beautiful hot breakfast every morning (french toast, eggs, bacon, etc etc). Nearly every evening, she baked a treat of some kind to welcome us home. It was truly a home away from home. Not only is the BnB centrally located, but it has the most beautiful landscape and view. Pros: family friendly, many activities included in your stay, nice and laid back cabins, wonderful trip if you are with those with a disability (rent a golf cart and cruise around all week) Pro or con- you decide: Not sure if it's a pro or con but they've cracked down on golf carts. They've become very strict and have people patrolling at night. It's chaotic and the workers don't know what's going on because it's so crazy at times however they seem to be flexible and find ways to figure it out. For example the lemonade server will get you a coffee pot for your cabin if you need one and the golf cart maintenance guy will figure out how to get you your salad you ordered a while ago lol. It's very unorganized and you can tell the workers are a bit lost but they roll with it and get it done. The store is very overwhelmed with the majority of the campgrounds tasks There's some blurred lines and instructions with activities. If you are a regular you will Know what's going on but if not, you won't. Example: there was a hayride that cost money scheduled at a certain time. We showed up with our money. We slowly realized as we stood in line that tickets had to be pre bought and scheduled a time. This wasn't listed anywhere. We asked people infront of us and behind us how they knew what to do and they said, "we just know because we've been coming her for years ." More details or clearer directions would be nice. Cons: the new keyless check in is a disaster- yogi does not have good cell service at all and even if you connect to their WiFi, it's still bad. Long story short, the wireless check in is not working. We opted for the old school key and entered our cabin that way. You need exceptional WiFi for technology like that and they don't even have average or acceptable service in this area

What a beautiful home! With one of the Frank Lloyd Wright packages purchased in advance, we were able to spend some time in this little town right outside of Pittsburgh and one full morning at Wright's masterpiece, the Fallingwater house (which has now officially been declared priceless!) The bed and breakfast's website will have you convinced that West Newton, PA is a gorgeous riverside town. Don't believe the hype. While it's okay, the town is nothing to look at it not exactly walkable. Between the Victorian home and the "downtown" area, we were hard-pressed to find any sidewalks. We did take the hotel manager's advice and rent some bikes (okay, I admit it--we were cheesy and got a bicycle built for two) in order to ride along the pretty bike path that runs along the Youghiogheny River. (Don't worry--you can just call it by its nickname, "the Yock.") Apart from the town being relatively desolate (hardly anything was open) and unattractive, the b&b was oozing with charm. We weren't sickened by it, however. We had a GIGANTIC, ornately carved king-sized bed, a big bathroom with a whirlpool tub (note: no shower--I assumed that there would be one, but only some rooms have 'em), and the WHOLE HOUSE TO OURSELVES. That's right. No one was in any of the other four rooms, and the owner and manager live off-site. Glory be! We felt rich and famous for two days. I feel terrible for forgetting her name, but the woman who arrived bright and early to serve us breakfast at whatever time we desired it was really friendly, funny, and kind. She asked us in advance if the next day's meal would suit us and gave us tips about the area. (She even gave me a slight discount on the two-day Wright package since we didn't have enough time to go to two different FLW sites.) Overall, it was a lovely experience. I would highly endorse a trip there if you're going to be in Pittsburgh (or are from Pittsburgh) and want a quick getaway where you will either leave the hotel most of the day to explore the luxuriously beautiful Laurel Canyons region OR if you're just going to stay in the hotel all day long (insert low growl noise).
