what a horrible experience it had been dealing with this business person! He sold me a (very) old (1999) surround sound receiver in mid December in which he gave me a 3 month warranty. ! it stopped working by january. i returned it and he replaced it with another, slightly newer one (2003?) and it failed/ stopped working by mid February. I returned with it and he said he would look at it. He called me the next day and said I "blew it up" and he wasn't going to replace it or give me my $$ back b/ c the warranty had expired. the next day I went back to the store to chat with him and when I walked in the door the door chime rang and he stumbled out from the back with an extremely bloodshot face. it reeked of alcohol in the shop. I had brought a copy of the original sales receipt because he had told me on the phone it had been more than 3 months . It clearly showed the purchase date on the receipt. After showing this to him He still refused to refund or replace. I told him I would show it to a lawyer and see what they thought. He went ballistic ! he swore, called me f$&@ing stupid (b/ c December was more than 3 months away from February ) he told me to "get the f$&@ out of his store. He threatened to call the police (of which I invited him to do and they could decide what the outcome would be) then another fellow came out from the back and encouraged him to settle down and told me to come back he next day when owner was sober. After about another few minutes of having him swear/ cuss/ call me stupid for not knowing how many months there were from December to February. I chose to leave. I said I'd give the place an Awesome Review online. He said "f$&@ you, no one reads reviews" so thanks for reading ! I had a really bad experience here. Oct 13, 2013 I brought in a 1960s Sanyo radio along with the accessories (ear piece and antenna, each in a leather case) that used to be owned by my late father and then my late brother. I spoke to Andy, explaining that this radio had a lot of sentimental value and he stated that he had worked on lots of these radios. We cracked open the back of the radio and we noted some battery corrosion. I left a $20 deposit and left. A week later, I called in and spoke to Andy. He stated he was having trouble working on it due to the corrosion but he would keep trying. I called again in early December, and he told me to come and pick it up. I went in Dec 7, 2013 and he plunked down my radio and the ear piece on the counter. I asked him where the antenna was, and he stated that I had not given it to him in the first place! He then asked me why I needed the antenna, which I thought was pretty rude. I knew that I would not get my deposit back (even though I received NOTHING for it). It was a chance I took - Andy told me he could not work on it due to the corrosion - which we both noticed prior to me leaving the deposit. My concern is with the lost antenna! I gave Andy my phone number on a piece of paper in case he found it. Before I left, I told him I came to him because of a positive review I had seen online. I stated I had a BRUTAL experience, and I would create a bad review on his business online. Andy thanked me for this sarcastically and stated that nobody reads online reviews anyway. My retort was that maybe one person would see it. Andy then ripped up the paper with my phone number and told me to f%$k off as I walked out the door. read more

Unfortunately, the store doesn't even deserve one star. I received really bad customer service from the owner at Starlight Electronics. My TV was turning itself on and off, but it was working. I dropped off the TV on a Friday and I mentioned that I would leave the TV for a week while I was out of town and pick it up the following Saturday, which he agreed to. He asked me to call him the next day to find out the cost to repair it. When I called he quoted me $148 dollars so I gave the go ahead to get the part and repair it. When I went to the store on the following Saturday there was a sign on the door saying that they would be closed for the next several days. Now I couldn't pick up my TV until the next Tuesday. When I called on Tuesday to see if they were open, he mentions that the TV now needs a different part and would be too costly to repair now. I asked him why he didn't call me to let me know, as he had my contact information, but never got an answer. Now he tells me that the TV is COMPLETELY DEAD. This is not how I brought the TV in and I feel like he has wrecked my TV, doesn't know how to diagnosis or repair it, and can't fix it back to where it was. He skirted my question twice when I asked if there is a cost to diagnose the problem. He didn't give me an answer, but when I got to the store he says it will be a $20 dollar charge, which he refused to return to me even after he destroyed the TV. He says that there is nothing he can do for me. If you are thinking about taking your electronics here check out their BBB rating first, I wish I had before I took it there. read more
