    Red and white wines

The atmosphere was friendly, the staff was simply magnificent and the service was amazing. The choice of wine was a huge range of red and white wine for every taste. You can bring any food and snacks you want. The quality of the wine, the production of wine and the tour of the vineyard and the winery were incredible. Very good views when you sit at the table and drink wine. Thank you very much for everything.

Surprised i have not done a review before - this local vineyard has been around forever. I loved the first owner and he had an outsized impact on the local wine scene helping others as they came on the scene. A few years ago - just pre-covid, he retired. It was purchased by 2 gentleman who have improved on both the variety and quality of the wines. I love the Gruner Vetliner and the rose has an almost smokey taste/nose on it. Bubbly is excellent as well! Beautiful setting, non pretentious, reasonably priced. take your picnic basket and enjoy a sunny afternoon here - you want regret it.

Really friendly service and an unpretentious, "local hangout" feel to it. The tasting room is in a former garage space and that helps Stargazers retain its homegrown feel, while also avoiding the trappings of trying to turn itself into an upscale destination. The wines are all very reasonably priced and provide very good value. The tasting flights are generous pours and give a solid sense of the winemakers vision. We are particularly fond of the Reserve Chardonnay, the Merlot, and the Petit Syrah. All are flavorful, balanced, and worthy of bringing home for a place at your table.

Went with a couple friends for a last minute wine trip. This place has been eluding me for years now as it's been in my backyard forever. All I can say is PHENOMENAL!!!!! The owners are more than friendly, and I easily could have spent hours it. The vibe is so quant and the atmosphere is so electric. The vineyard is beautiful and eclectic. 10 out of

Wonderful winery, the new owners are wonderful and so friendly, the views are great, and we really enjoyed the Petit Verdot, Cab Franc, and Chardonnay. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a winery not too far away from Philly!!

Average to bland wines in a limited space, Stargazers Vineyard needs some work to become one of the better wineries on the wine trail. I actually really love the location of Stargazers Vineyard, at the end of a road in a residential neighborhood outside of Coatesville. There are two parking spots in front of the glass garage that houses the winery, and walking inside you'll see a small tasting bar and lots of stacked plastic chairs. It was one of the hottest days of the year, and there is no air conditioning in the garage, and our pourer just seemed like he was eager to get the tasting over with and retreat back to the cool back room (despite this he was still very nice to us and appreciative we came out). The tasting is $5 and you taste approximately five wines. The first one we tried was the unoaked Solar Celebration Chardonnay, which tasted off with high acidity and a weird dank aftertaste. Next out was the Grüner Veltliner, definitely a step up with a dry mineral taste. I was not a fan of the Riesling either - too sweet with muted flavors. The reds were only slightly better and very limited. Unfortunately the sparkling wines were on the tasting, which is a shame because Stargazers Vineyard is one of the few in the area that makes a sparkling wine, and I think they should have one on the tasting. Overall, It pains me to say I wasn't impressed with Stargazers Vineyard. I like to champion small independent wineries like Stargazers, but the flavors were just not there in any of the wines I tasted. If you're limited on the wineries to visit, you can skip this one.

While their outdoor space is an excellent feature during warmer weather, I wanted to highlight their winter weekend offerings, which involve various food pairings offered in their cute indoor space (by reservation only!!) My most recent experience was their Wine and Cheese Pairing, which is featured every January. Each year, they curate a combination of local cheese and either honey/jam to pair with their wines, and every year, it's a hit. My favorite pairing this year involved their Pinot Rose, a delicious cheddar, and an orange ginger honey that was absolutely delightful. I also particularly enjoy their wine and cupcake pairing offered every March in partnership with Dia Doce cupcakes --- a highlight of every spring.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to sample the wares. For the most part we were the only ones there - so we had the opportunity to have a long conversation with the owner: about him, his products, and what i can only describe as "passion" for crafting spirits. In fact, passion may be too weak a word... We ordered a fiight of 8 spirits - 5 whiskies, 2 gins, and a rum. Usually I consider myself lucky if I get one or 2 acceptable ones (my batting average on local distillers is not good lol). Springhouse is the exception to the rule. Each was good and unique in its own way - the gins were more in the Genever style - barrel rested, smoother and while the juniper was there , it was in the background. The rum was a winner as well. That said, the whiskies were my favorite - each with a distinct flavor profile. Of course I had to bring something home! Opted for their top of the line bottle: an American single (barely) malt that just screamed "have me with a big cube and a cigar" (i did later lol). At $70 a bottle its not an everyday pour - but it was firmly in the "upper category" of a craft spirit. Oh - and did i mention they serve craft cocktails? My wife loved the espresso-Carmel oriented one. The intersection between skill and passion can produce a product that punches above its weight. While we were not there for the food, we will make another trip to give it a try. its worth the drive. Trust me.
