Megan was welcoming, extremely knowledgeable of the various wines made by Harvest Ridge. We ordered two flights and enjoyed the east coast wines so much, We joined their wine club! Harvest Ridge Winery hosts many events including live music, food trucks, pizza wine pairing and more! This winery also serves small plates and snacks. A hidden gem and now one of our favorites! Every wine we had tried on our flight of reds we absolutely loved. Our all time fav? The bourbon barrel red. We walked out with 4 more bottles to keep on hand. Megan and Rebecca were so knowledgeable and couldn't do more for us. Brutal honesty, we've been to Chaddsford Winery and absolutely disliked all of their wines, including our friends who are white wine drinkers so we looked for an alternative and found Harvest Ridge. Highly recommend for any locals and travelers and we can't wait to go back to our new favorite winery. Cute place inside too, only thing that would have made the ambience better would have been an electric fireplace to cozy it up. Otherwise, this winery beats Chaddsford 100%, sorry not sorry. Excellent selection, a very good wines, including creamy and buttery, white wines and more robust, full-bodied red wines. I'm not normally a fan of Chardonnay, but Harvest Ridge's varietal was very well balanced and agreeable with a large number of food pairings. Service was outstanding and really made for an enjoyable experience that is worth sharing with others. The tasting room isn't anything too fancy, but is very approachable and inviting. read more

Love the whites wish they made more. Didn't dislike any of them but they have to make more Pinot I tried the first visit and was excellent!! Chard is good too but not as flavorful (to me) Service is very slow so get a bottle asap after a tasting! Food trucks are good. Great food truck competition recently very well organized (except the slow wine service- but there were many stations just lots of people!) All in all a great place to visit OFTEN! read more

Okay, we've now tried an event at the Delaware location and the Pa location and we've been disappointed twice. We went to their cider and food truck event last fall and were so disappointed. The ciders offered were actually pretty good, but omg the amount of flies everywhere was just insane. I understand it was outside, but I've never even encountered that many flies at a dairy farm with cows. It was so bad you couldn't even sit outside or leave your hand off your cup for 5 seconds. And I think it was supposed to have multiple food trucks and it was just one. It was also a pretty far drive for us. We saw there was an event today at the PA location and we did get there a little late, but it said there was supposed to be food trucks till 6. We got there at like 4:40 and the one truck was already closed down. We did go in and try some stuff, but the service was not great and we didn't really care for any of the wines or ciders we tried. Nothing was terrible I guess, but we asked a couple questions about ciders and got very short answers that really didn't explain anything. The sweet wines we tried were okay, but not nearly as good as Paradox or even Chadds Ford. If you like Paradox, don't even bother with this place. read more

We went here for our anniversary. It was a lot of fun. We brought in our own food. All the tables were spaced far apart to allow indoor seating. We really liked their cider! Then we each got a glass of wine. I tried their most expensive wine. It was well worth the $10. It was delicious! Yesterday, a few days later, we took our whole family there because they enjoyed the cider we brought home for them. They got a growler, some cans of cider, and cans of white sangria. read more

What a great little find for us. First timers last night pregaming for the Birds game. Great bartenders made us feel welcome from the beginning. Had 2 flights and a glass of our favorite from those flights. Did the small charcuterie which was perfect for us and the live music was excellent. Great atmosphere and not loud at all. Probably not their best day to stop but all tables were dirty and cleaned myself not very busy either. Not personable staff and tasting was sad none informational and refused to open a bottle of my favorite wine to taste because it was Sunday even though that was the one I would have bought. Told us he would throw out because after pouring wine all weekend I can't stand the smell and can't drink it??? WTF Waited for a long time to be able to stop here because always closed when we do and was so excited to finally make our way there today on my husbands birthday. Very disappointed but always willing to give another try if the wine is decent? I see great reviews and would have loved to taste the wines we liked. Maybe next time read more

Delicious wine, great service and spread out seating for COVID. Loved we were there for an hour and saw them clean the bar and handles/doors multiple times. The pizza outside was an added bonus. Stopped by for a randomly planned saturday afternoon wine trip. My fiance and I had tastes some of their wine at Pinot Boutique in Philly, so thought we would make the quick drive to this location. First thought is that parking seemed rough, but ended up being fairly easy. Space was clean and sleek, with multiple tables, couches, and a long tasting bar. My fiance and I each had a wine flight, and we split a meat and cheese board. 4 wines per flight for around 10 dollars is not a bad deal, and the pours were very good. The meat and cheese board was serviceable, so no complaints from me. They also have cider flights, which I was interested in (they share the site with Rebel Seed Cider). All in all i would definitely recommend people swing by if your ever traveling on Route 1 near Toughkenamon, as this is definitely worth a stop! read more

My husband and I stopped at Harvest on our Sunday 'wine tour'. With Covid restrictions in place, we still had a good time. Tables were spaced out, sanitizer was at the ready and food was served in pre-packaged containers. Not the fine dining experience I love at a winery, but understandable! I am curious as to what is offered with respect to food and how busy does it get here with all the tables out so hopefully we will be able to experience that soon. The staff was very friendly and brought our wine out promptly. We ordered the full flight (4) of reds and a flight combination of whites (3) and rose (1). We didn't particularly dislike any of the wines. They we all good in their own way, but the Pinot Gris was, hands down, the favorite and we bought 2 bottles. We also ordered the prosciutto to soak up a bit of the wine while we drank and before our flight of ciders was delivered! :) She did forget and we had to remind her, since we pre-paid, but no big deal. The ciders were explained to us with spot-on precision. One was traditional, appley, sweet goodness and the other a little dryer, although still sweet enough. We had a very good time, as we do together, and will be back! read more

Pretty cool place. They are offering indoor seating with limited capacity. They have a huge wine selection and they also serve beer. They have a couple Victory beers in house you can get. They also have craft soda if you wanted to bring the kids. The crown on the whole experience is the ciders they offer. They had 4 you could taste in a flight and all 4 were available for take out. We went back a few days later to get some to take to a birthday party. Everyone was very impressed! read more

My friends and I decided to visit a winery (we haven't visited) around Longwoods Garden. What a great treat to find this new little spot. Very odd for a location, but the staff and wine made up for it. We happened to come when a party of about thirty were already there and "feeling good" Lol The staff was polite and apologized several times for any delay in service. I am very impressed with the new little tasting building.. I can't give you a 4 star because of the proximity to railroad tracks and the danger of road, directly in front of your front door steps. Love the fact that they have opened a tasting room locally. Rebel Seed Cidery and Harvest Ridge share the room. Spacious. Inviting. Food trucks every night scheduled for Thurs thru Sunday. Table in the front corner is reservable for groups. Parking is easy. Prices are reasonable. People are amazing. We go for the cider so that's what I'll talk about although my understanding is the wine is very nice. They have the First Anthem, Liberty Tree, Hoptimized and the Season. Seasonal on right now is pear and it's fantastic. Go enjoy it's a great place with great people. read more

I've been here twice. First time was for a glass of red wine and a brisket sandwich off of the visiting food truck. It was nice. Friendly staff and nice open airy environment. There was a guitarist. Wonderful spot for meeting up with friends for conversation. The second visit was for a tasting of wine and accompanying University of Delaware creamery ice cream. Lots of fun and delicious. The staff was great. The wine and ice cream was great too. As a bonus you get a discount when buying wine at the end of the event. I bought the Merlot and a white grape and peach wine.
