I swear, this little salon must be one of the best kept beauty secrets in Petaluma. I first found Carly when I was looking for someone to wax my eyebrows and I chose her because of the great reviews. She's been doing my eyebrow and lip waxes for the last year and I can't imagine trusting my face to anyone else. She's the consummate professional and super personable which made me feel comfortable from our very first appointment. More recently, I decided on a facial and to get serious about my skincare. The facial was calming and wonderful, my skin felt like a million bucks. I bought the starter skincare kit and after a week my skin is glowy, it feels healthy and the dry red patches on my cheeks have subsided substantially. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Carly and the team she has working with her. It's clear that the ladies working at Stardust are passionate about their work and their clients are loyal. Run, don't walk! read more

I have been going to Carly for 8 years. Her attention to detail and passion for making her clients feel beautiful is unmatched. Carly is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help when it comes to skin care advice (and life advice too!) 15/10 stars. read more

A must see. Perfect for a day of pampering and primping! This new full service, one-stop shop is with beauty veterans Eva, Carly, and Valerie. I've seen Expert Hair Designer and Colorist Eva since 2005. Her masterful use of color is so natural where no one can tell as it's growing out. Lash extensions, brow wax and tint, and more! read more

Eva, Carly and Valerie....all just wonderful! I've been going to Eva for my hair for nearly 15 years. I trust her with a pair of shears and her color creativity more than anyone else. She is so great, I recommend her to everyone. And, wow, just her scrubbing your hair during a wash is like a massage!! Eva introduced me to Carly about a year and a half ago, and she has been the absolute best at working with my skin. She does my waxing and facials, and I'm told very often now that I look younger. People want to know what my secret is. It's Carly! I just had a waxing service for the first time by Valerie yesterday. She was so gentle and did an excellent job. Such a great team!!! read more

It was such a great experience going to Eva for the first time. She's so patient and attentive, listens, and seems genuinely excited about the work she does. I felt in good hands and love the cut and fun color she gave me. I only wish I lived closer! read more

Waxing is Carly's superpower. Whatever you need, however u like it, she'll make it look good naked. Enjoy! I walked out with the PERFECT hair product for my head hair too, she nailed it. She sent me home feelin' smooth & confident in all the tricky spots. She also had a fabulous product suggestion when I asked about my long, damaged, chaotic head hair. I told that built strength, enriched the color and shine in the dry, brittle & weak spots & turned the healthy hair into that thick, gorgeous, stretchy strong hair that's damn near indestructible! I feel like a warrior goddess with designer skin and a totally badass head of hair. Carly's like a fairy goddess of hair- if I want it to look thick, healthy & luscious, she'll give me a tip & a product within my little budget that changes the game. When I want it smooth and gone OR faded into a an undetectable smooth transition from lower arm to upper arm/should, blank to blank, ya da to ya da, she'll make sure it looks GOOD & I walk out crushing it. read more

I had an amazing experience at Stardust Salon & Spa. Valerie's one hour treatment results were AMAZING; I instantly saw major improvement. It dramatically reduced the dehydration, redness and dullness of my skin! With her knowledge and experience, she tailored my facial to meet my skins needs. Her shoulder and arm massage was heavenly. The relaxing atmosphere, calming music and pleasantly fragrant candle made it almost impossible for me to not doze off. The professional products that were used on me were all natural and had a very pleasing aroma. I felt refreshed and saw my skin had a beaming natural glow! I'll most definitely be one of Valerie's returning clients. She is an amazing and dedicated esthetician. read more

Carly has become the only waxer I will go to! She makes the experience enjoyable and comfortable, while thankfully having lots of appointment options. Eva has done an incredible job cutting my hair as well. Coming from someone that is very intimidated getting their hair done, she made me feel right at home. I always leave walking a little taller with a huge smile on my face when I leave Stardust Salon! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but when something or someone is doing such an incredible job I think it should be shared with others. Stardust Salon is a beautiful place, Open welcoming and very Clean. Lashes were a new experience for me and Carly was great, she made me comfortable and explained how it all was done. Carly is an exceptional artist! she made my lashes look natural and just beautiful. I look forward to each appointment! See you soon Carly!I read more

I'm definitely thinking the other reviews here have to be fake, possibly friends or family of the owner. Very unprofessionally ran imo unfriendly as well as overpriced. To be fair this is solely based on an unpleasant experience with Valerie who does lashes at the salon read more

Why do we adventure? To satisfy a deep curiosity within us? To gain more empathy for others who have had experiences different than ours? To expose ourselves to new thoughts, ways, beautiful artifacts that may find their way woven into and enriching our lives? For me, all of the above. And adventure comes in so many forms. Traveling, exploring new neighborhoods, trying new activities, talking - truly talking at a microlevel - to the humans around you ... and moving to a new town! I won't pretend it wasn't terrifying to leave San Francisco, a city I fell in love with instantly over ten years ago, maybe even the first city that I felt I could call home. But leaving was also freeing and exciting and an adventure. And to be honest, the hardest part about moving was having to go out and find your people - including an aesthetician you love and trust. I'm so lucky I found Carly almost instantly for all my beauty needs! I adore this woman. She's smart, knowledgeable as heck, funny, honest and really good at what she does. I've been seeing her for 8 months now and I've left every appointment happy. I hope that all the ladies out there searching find their way to her and her practice. read more

I'm 46 and desperately into anti aging. I regularly do the big stuff like laser and such, completely ignoring daily care aside from wash moisturize and protect. Carly informed me of what my shin needed and when/ how often to achieve my goals along side my annual treatments. She put it in terms I understood like I'm going to the dentist for deep cleaning but I'm not using floss and toothpaste at home.... Always behind the 8 ball playing catch up. I bought 2 products with knowledge I'm doing what I should be, feels good! Thanks for the education and reminder Carly- see you next month! First time client free eye wax & discounts on first product purchase, great location inside BLUSH store downtown..... Highly recommend. Carly is nice sweet funny relaxed and efficient..... Go see her!!! read more

Carly was not only a pleasure to hang out with but extremely thorough and understanding with my needs. I have been struggling with a messed up left eyebrow since I hurt myself the day after my fifth birthday. I have spent so much money trying different things, short of getting micro blading done. Through her thorough measuring, contemplating, and consulting with me she was able to do my very first brow lamination quite successfully! I am an actress and a model and have been so frustrated with my eyebrow for basically my whole life. I just did my first photo shoot after getting them done and I'm quite eager for the results! As well, Carly performed a lash lift on me. They are so perfectly spaced out and curved in a way to where when they grow out they will not be a pain to deal with. My eyes look so bright and chipper as well as beautiful. I can't think her enough read more

I'm so glad I found Carly! I've been searching Petaluma high and low to find a new esthetician and Carly is exactly what I've been looking for. She's friendly, warm, professional and extremely knowledgeable about her profession. She knows how to make you comfortable while laying half naked on a table, and gets the job done fast! I've been getting my Brazilian waxes and eyebrows done from her for the past 6+ months and will never go anywhere else! Did I mention she does lashes as well?! I originally got them done for a trip a few months ago and have had them refilled 2-3 times now.I opted for a full set of Bella volume lashes and couldn't believe how gorgeous they still looked by the end of my 3 week trip! I've done lashes in the past and wasn't as pleased with the outcome, but my experience with Carly was 100% better! I was excited to try the volume set - they turned out beautifully and are not as intense as other volume sets from other lash artists I've seen. I'm getting married within the next year and have already started to discuss my skin care plan and scheduled my first facial with her. Best of all, Carly takes the time to explain what she's doing and why. I tend to always ask a lot of questions, so I appreciate her thorough explanations. Carly is truly a lovely person, and I can't recommend her enough! read more

I had my eyelashes done by Carly for my wedding back in July. As soon as I opened my eyes and looked in the mirror I WAS HOOKED! The quality of work Carly does is incredible. I have an appointment this afternoon for a lash refill and I cannot wait! Lash days are the best days! The salon is clean and sooo cute and Carly is wonderful at making me feel comfortable and pretty! I could not recommend this Salon enough. It truly doesn't get any better than this. If you get your lashes done here, be sure to buy the lash care kit Carly sells! It's really helped me keep my eyes clean and my lashes untangled. I think it has really extended the life of my eyelashes! read more

Eva at Stardust! Treat yourself to an appointment with this brilliant hair genius. And, my hair is complicated, people! My hair is natural, at least 4 different textures of curly African American hair all dyed blonde (from dark brown) and I'm letting the gray grow in! Not every hairdresser could work with my hair and after 2 years of partnering with Eva, I wanted to share my journey with her - check out the photos! What you can't see in the pictures is what a joy it is to spend time with Eva, how much she makes me laugh, how much better I feel after I leave there, how often we share tips about yoga-fasting-Pique tea and the very serious difference between champagne-colored or toasted marshmallow or violet to platinum. Eva is divine! You'll wish she were your best friend not just your hairdresser - but you won't feel too bad about it cause you'll be looking too good! I'm just saying, do us all a favor and get on her calendar pronto! read more

I have experienced the best customer service at Stardust. Valerie is amazing and she is new I highly suggest supporting her business. Carly is an incredible professional whom I feel takes care of me on a mind body and spirit level when I go in. I cannot thank the ladies at Stardust for how they make me feel enough. Thank you all. The best part about their spa besides their services & kindness is the parking lot too! I can really say that is the icing on top of the cake for downtown Petaluma. read more

AMAZING! I have never written a yelp review so fast! Today I had an amazing experience by Carly! I had lash extensions and it was wonderful! I was recently visiting family in Northern California and needed some 'me' time and I'm happy i did! Staff is welcoming, the place it tidy and clean. My technician was Valerie! "Why don't you come on over Valerieeeeeeehhhh" Sorry I had to, Im an Amy Winehouse fan! :) anyway, Valerie has such a warm energy to her and made me feel comfortable. I opted to not need to know all the steps to the treatment she was doing, I trusted her and my results have been wonderful! No breakouts after and I'm still beaming! Thank you Valerie! I'll be back again next time I'm in town. read more

I've been going to Carly for facial and eyelash needs/wants for awhile, and her new salon only makes the experience all the sweeter! It's a gorgeous space to indulge in a sort of beauty "one stop shop": eyelash extensions, skincare, hair. The lash studio is private and calm, which fits Carly's soothing style of applying fabulous custom lashes. Facials here have revitalized my skincare routine. Can't wait to book my next haircut here too! read more

CARLY is my skin angel sent to help bring my skin back to life! I have acne prone skin and have always had issues taming the inflammation and texture. My first facial with Carly I knew I had hit the jackpot!! She customized my facial depending on the areas of skin on my face. She spot treated my problem area (chin) and it made all the difference. I love the Image line she uses and am currently ~2 months into a personalized regimen Carly put me on. I see her every 4-5 weeks and after 2 visits to her I can proudly say I love my skin! I am confident with no make up on and I love how even and pretty my skin texture looks. I still have breakouts, I think that's just the way of my life, but they are minimal and tame. My skin is glowing and I can't wait to see what is in store. I'm THIS happy after 2 months!! Thank you, Carly!! read more

Eva was amazing! Everyone was so kind and welcoming! I'm so glad that I came to Stardust and will be returning for my next haircut! Thank you! read more

Had my first facial at Stardust today! Valerie was super professional, warm & friendly, and thorough as she gently layered lovely aromatic cleansers, peels, and moisturizers. She explained every layer and how/why she applied them in the order she did and what might work well for ongoing everyday or weekly use. Even had her tint my eyebrows while one of the layers soaked in. :-) Just a wonderful Saturday morning in a pretty and relaxing environment. To give full props, Eva, the shear-colour-master is a gem, too! Discovered her a few months ago and am super happy with what she has been able to do with my "new" hair - she covers the gray and manages the frizz. She listens, makes suggestions, and then works her magic! read more

Carly is a lash GODDESS! I don't know how she does it, but her lashes are the floofiest and prettiest I've ever had. I prefer a hybrid lash, mix of classics and volume, but I am kind of an anxious person and so I twitch a lot, making the volume lashes a bit of a challenge. She is great at putting me at ease and working around my twitchy eyes. She has taping methods that can help in addition to a relaxed and comfortable environment, complete with mood music to your taste and a heated blanket (optional). Not only that but, I have been to a few lash places over the last 4 years, and have always thought I was "sensitive" to the glue. With Carly my eyes don't get red, water, or sting. I asked her if she uses a special glue and she informed me that if you tape too close to the eye that is what causes the redness and watering. No more 2 day redness and stinging after my lashes! Carly makes a point of continuing her education and keeping up to date with the latest technologies, methods, and trends. BONUS: she is hilarious and sweet as pie. I always leave feeling like a million bucks with a huge smile on my face! read more

Carly is amazing! Not only is she so nice but I'm seeing amazing results from her facials (the classic facial). I have acne and have struggled with it since I was in my early teens. Nothing ever helped my acne go away until I started getting facials from Carly. With the use of her recommended Image skincare and facials every 2 weeks, I'm seeing great results. My skin feels so healthy and is looking very clear. I also have enjoyed other service like waxing and have loved the results. Prices are very reasonable for quality of service. She is very profesional. She creates a comfortable and relaxing environment. Honestly, I couldn't recommend her more! read more

Carly was extremely professional and full of knowledge. I picked the Carly special skin treatment with the derm abrasion and could not be happier about the results. Thank you. Will be back! read more

Her arm and neck massages are amazing too leaving me completely relaxed. If you live in Sonoma County (or even Novato) and you haven't found an esthetician you love, try a facial with Carly!
