Just so anyone who reads this knows, I almost NEVER post on here, but I've been meaning to get to this one for a while. Bottom Line Up Front: This experience has been *wonderful* and I would absolutely recommend this place if you're thinking about trying microblading. My artist was Sasha, and, as many people on here have mentioned, she is a delight. She is VERY knowledgeable, very talented, and genuinely cares about each of the people she works on. She was very receptive to all of the things I mentioned I wanted about the shape/style. She was also very honest when answering any beauty-related questions I had and transparent about how she does business. She's someone you can trust with something this important. The downtown Petaluma office is up a big flight of stairs, and the room we were in was small but clean and comfortable. Sasha offered to mask because I was masked, so that put some of my Covid-related fears to rest. And I went in thinking it would be the same kind of pain as getting a tattoo, but the numbing cream she used made the entire thing virtually painless! Big Cry Baby Friendly is a big plus for a wuss like me. My own healing process is kind of an exception because my brows did take the full 2-3 weeks to heal after the 1st session, but I had great pigment retention because I was very careful and followed aftercare instructions religiously. Be cautious on that 2nd round of healing though: it only took half as long, but I was not as careful as the first round and that might have affected the results. All this being said, are my eyebrows 100% perfect? No. But are they still 98-99% perfect? YES. It's been such a comforting relief that I can wake up and already feel mostly put together and this process was totally worth it to me. I've gotten compliments on them since Day 1 of healing! I'll definitely be returning to Sasha for a touch-up sometime next year, and I'll try to remember to post an update on how long they lasted! read more

Sasha is a national treasure. I first met her sometime before Covid after I had finished treatment for cancer. She actually told me at the time that I *didn't* need microblading and proceeded to teach me how to tint my eyebrows. I next met her about two years ago when I was about to start cancer treatment again. She declined to do the procedure due to the short time interval between the appointment and the start of my treatment. Again, she went without a sale in my best interest. Sasha is AMAZING! I could not have had a better microblading experience and will always recommend her to anyone looking into this type of investment! I reached out in October to inquire about pricing and she was able to get me into a consultation the next day. She is incredibly informative, kind, funny, and very much an expert in her field. She talked me through her entire process and the overall expectations of the initial session, healing, follow up, and post-treatment care. While there she drew up what she would plan and would adjust as much as I wanted, but I didn't have to really change anything because of how accurate and well done her work was done (she uses special rulers/measuring devices as well as specific markers/pencils and string in her process). We talked through the different color options with her giving me multiple options to choose from along with her recommendation. Mind you, this was all just the initial consultation, not even the actual procedure itself. She was upfront with her pricing and found her to be competitive in comparison to the other 5 places I had spoken with in the general area - but she was much more thorough in her consultation with me. When it came time to actually set the appointment she said she could do it the same time as my consultation (made it super easy), but was understanding when I wanted to push it out to ensure I could budget properly. When I had to reschedule she was very accommodating and incredibly easy to work with, making sure she could work with my hectic and demanding work schedule. Finally the actual appointment came and she immediately put numbing cream on me while we went over her agreements in depth, making sure I understood each point for how to best care for my new brows and what to expect during the healing. When she started she was just as thorough as the first time, checking in with me constantly to make sure I was happy with her outline and to see if I wanted to make any changes. I did not feel a single thing during the procedure and she would often check in to make sure I was comfortable, letting me know I could take a break if I ever needed to. Once finished with my first session I went home and was initially shocked, she said I would see nothing but brow for the first few days and she was 100% right about that. However, I followed her directions to wait a few days and let everything settle in and I'm glad I did. I followed her aftercare directions to a T and my brows looked AMAZING. They were a little itchy beginning day 5-6 and I took her advice to smack them, but not itch - I'll also add that she was available by text for any questions or concerns I had with a very prompt follow up time (often 15 minutes or less). After my first session with her I had my coworkers ask what I did to my brows because they looked so good. I had random compliments from strangers and felt more confident without makeup because I now had two full eyebrows. I just had my second session with her and the brows are absolutely gorgeous. I had a few nightmare experiences with tweezing/waxing in the past and learned to not trust anyone with the sacred brows, but would trust Sasha with my life at this point that's how good she is. She has always made me feel comfortable and always checked in letting me know I had complete say over my brows and would make any changes that I wanted, but I never needed to because she got the perfect shape and look to them on the first go. Additionally, she's very conversational and makes the session go by quick with funny stories or asking about you - very personable which is always a plus. I would recommend Sasha over anyone in the bay area. I'm moving to Seattle in the next few months and she was kind enough to tell me I could send her any artist and their work to get her advice of who would be best to go with. But in all honesty, she's worth making the trip down even for touch ups. If you are considering microblading, do your research and understand that you get what you pay for - if you're doing anything permanent or semi-permanent to your body (especially face) make sure you are going off of the artist and their work, not price point. Nestled in cute downtown Petaluma, iBrow Vixen is one of the salon located upstairs. Parking is super easy. It's literally right in front of the space! My first initial reaction when I first walked in was the beautiful lavender aroma and the decor! It's so cute and relaxing in there. Justin did my brows and lashes (two different appointment) and I couldn't be anymore happier! With my brows he drew them first and made sure I was EXTREMELY happy with the shape before we began. The pain was close to none! Prior to the microblading he numbed my brows and it definitely worked. All I felt was little pulls on my eyebrow but no pain. ALSO. I'm not going to lie I NEVER flaked,bled, swelled up or got itchy during the healing process. I was so pleased!!!! Fast forward two weeks later I decided to book an appointment to get my lashes done. This review is for my best friend we drove over 2 hours to Petaluma from Modesto to get her eyelashes done by Justin on our arrival there was no check-in area just a poster on the wall that had their business logo and two seats to help yourself to. Justin himself was not welcoming or inviting. After we had left maybe 3 hours in of having her new lashes that had she paid nearly a 100 dollars for, they were already were starting to fall out in clumps eyelashes that should have lasted her two weeks at least .. hadn't even made it through 24 hrs. She's barely on the 3rd day now and left with ugly clumpy shedding eyelashes that didnt even last a week. This is a warning to all future customers in my opinion Justin is an amateur at best I do not recommend. read more
