We have been coming here from the month it opened years ago. It is in an advantageous location. The volume impresses us as we wait in line. Initially staff needed training but a few months later it was doing better. Since then it suffers from the staffing problems every restaurant faces. We had two quick trips to Arizona. Two weeks ago we left Medford and stopped here for coffee and ice tea and food. My coffee was fine. The ham and cheese croissant was ok but I got somebody else's pastry. I found out after we were past the drive through and headed south. Wife ordered and paid for a trente ice tea but got a vente . 2 out of 4 items ordered. . . . A couple of days ago we were there again. Everything was as ordered and service was good and fast like Starbucks should be and is at stores we visit most days in our home town. Coffee and ice tea were both prepared properly. The order and delivery were fine both times other than issues raised. Maybe this is as good places we don't visit several times a week. read more

I get it- you're a stopping point on I-5 and you know you'll never see a lot of your customers twice. That doesn't give you free reign to be the absolute rudest. My boyfriend ordered a drink with no whip, the guy handed him a drink with whip on top. Very politely, my boyfriend reminded him that he asked for no whip, to which the guy responded "Well, I thought you just meant on the bottom". Weird as heck, but okay. He scooped the whip off and it was fine. I ordered a peach green tea lemonade, and got a green tea lemonade with black bits floating on the bottom and no peach. He said the black was with just tea and they didn't have peach. So, I've never had black bits in my GREEN tea before and I'm inclined to believe it was grossness and not totally normal tea. Second of all, if there was no peach he should have told me that when I was ordering. He got super huffy and told me that he ReAd iT bAcK to me and then in just the most scathing tone said "well, what do you want me to do about it?"- making me feel like an evil bitch for wanting the drink I ordered. I guess I'm lucky that this is a stop on a ten hour road trip and I'll never have to interact with this guy again, but it really ruined my day. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. The young lady working the drive thru had no clue what she was doing. Not only did she charge me more than any other Starbucks, she ruined my drink. How do you ruin straight black cold brew? Go to the Yreka Starbucks and you'll find out. I Will never be coming back thanks to her. Oh and my drink was also half foam. I never imagined myself ever reviewing a Starbucks, but I just had to comment on a few things about this place. We were traveling from Portland back to California and stopped on our long drive here for a quick break with our 2 year old. My husband was shocked, absolutely stunned, to find that there was a CHANGING TABLE in the men's bathroom here. Bravo to you, Starbucks! After a horrendous experience of not finding changing tables in either bathrooms of other establishments, this is a lifesaver and will ensure that we will stop by here again. To make matters even better, when my husband alerted the staff that there was a poor dog panting out front in the heat, they quickly brought out a bowl of water for him. Okay, I know this is a new location, but that's no excuse for being rude. Service is lousy and slow. Staff is not familiar with the menu, the items in stock, or how to say please and thank you. When I say service is slow, I mean glacial slow. Today I waited in the drive thru line for over 30 minutes. A few days ago, I couldn't get into the drive thru line, not because they were busy, but because some numb skull parked a truck and trailer in the small parking lot and left no room to turn. The food isn't right. Maybe it is Starbucks, or maybe it is this location - I don't know. The banana bread is mushy. The grilled cheese sandwich was not cut in two, which made it awkward to eat while driving. Also, it is advertised as an old fashioned grilled cheese, but it is absolutely NOT old fashioned. The bread wasn't white bread and there were more than simple American cheese slices on that sandwich. Sadly, the other types of cheese do not enhance the sandwich, as it was flavorless. My son enjoys the Asiago cheese pretzel. Today I ordered it for him, and they did not warm it even after I confirmed twice that we would like it warmed. It's a shame that they could not follow through with a simple request. Finally, DO NOT ASK FOR A DRINK TO BE MADE WITHOUT COFFEE!!! I asked if they can make a caramel frap without the coffee. They said yes, did NOT say anything about the quality of the drink and gave me a cup of whipped milk. Not kidding. They didn't even put caramel drizzle on top. It tasted like a sweet mess. If the drinks aren't designed to be made without coffee AND you don't have a reasonable substitute, WHY wouldn't you tell the customer that without coffee, it is just milk????? Four of their staff members came and helped out during the event. They are so amazing and thank you for supporting such a good cause- making our community violence free! The good news: FINALLY, a Starbucks north of Redding & let's face it, hard to beat Starbucks brewed coffee. And it's got lots of seating indoors & out to enjoy the coffee The negatives: drive-thru & everyone in the green aprons are green beans (new) which translates to slow for those like me who prefer going in to order. I ordered three cups and she had to ask me between each cup which else I wanted. Unfortunately, this Starbucks location is awful. As a frequent customer of Starbucks, I see how the day to day operations are failing. The line in the drive through is never less than a 25 minute ordeal, even with less than 5 cars in line. Have been out of cold brew coffee, for the last 6 visits over the course of 3 weeks. There is never a supply of food options, once asking for 5 different items, I will get one that they do have. Watching orders sit on the drive through counter ready to be handed out, only to watch 4 people walk past them for 3-5 minutes before they are handed out, is totally unacceptable. It seems that the management of this location has failed to establish efficiencies in their crew and organized tasks so as to make the shop run smoothly. Seriously Starbucks the worst service today. First off order was wrong and who runs out of peppermint. It does not end there though. They also ran out of selves for your drinks. My custom coffee was made to my specs perfectly and the oatmeal was just as it is supposed to be. The crew was friendly, yet professional. I left my purse, with all of my identification, credit cards, and most importantly, my inhaler, behind (it was very early in the morning so I was a bit tired) but I didn't realize it until I was five and half hours away, in Portland. After reading some of the comments on here, I'm sad to say, not much had changed. Today and yesterday I went to SB and my drinks were wrong. Yesterday I ordered an extra dry cappuccino and it wasn't close to dry. Today I ordered a regular dark roast coffee with cream. Drove away and had to turn back because they forgot the cream! It's a very SIMPLE order and they still screwed it up. They are consistently slow and messing up drive thru orders. Very DISAPPOINTED!!! I continually give them the benefit of the doubt and today when I talked to the manager she was quite rude and unapologetic. I've NEVER had a drink messed up in any other SB in the country. I think I'll have to give up my love for Starbucks here in town and just have it as a treat when I travel. read more

I have been going to this location since it opened. The staff is friendly. Yes it is usually pretty busy, but that's because they are good at what they do. I like the taste of Starbucks and that's why I keep going back. If the taste of the coffee is not to your liking try one of their other beverages. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Starbucks. We are traveling through California on our way home to Washington after visiting Disneyland. The barista team was training a set of new employees. We understood that our order would take a little longer than normal. We ordered 3 grande Horchata Frappechinnos (I probably misspelled that) and received 1 grande and 2 tall Hotchata Frappechinnos. When my father-in-law expressed the mistake to the barista, he slammed down his drink and asked us to leave the store. Then proceeded to come around the counter and grabbed my father-in-law's elbow to try and escort him out. That was not necessary, we were already headed out the door. Luckily, two very kind law enforcement officers were also getting drinks and came to our aid. Normally, when a drink is made wrong Starbucks employees are wonderful about fixing the mistake. Especially when training new baristas - we understand that mistakes happen. We did not appreciate being assaulted by a barista when he messed up our order. If you're road tripping through this part of California and need coffee -- keep driving. Not only was the order wrong but it didn't taste good either. read more

I have been here 5 times and each time I go through the drive thru - no blond and of course they don't say anything until I am at the pay window. It still took an inordinate time (10 minutes) to arrive at the window to find that only one coffee was ready. Waited. Stopped inside to stretch my legs and get a pick-me-up during a road trip. There were four people working and the guy who usually takes the drive-thru orders (he had a headset on) ends up taking my order. The others pretty much ignored me which is sad because it was just me and another person in the place! There was no one else waiting for a drink so I thought I'd end up getting my drink pretty quickly. Nope. Someone waited at least 3-5 minutes before even starting my drink. I only wanted a frappuccino, c'mon! At least my drink was fine, but the service is definitely not what I've come to expect from a Starbucks. (The guy who originally took my order had gone to the back room and when he came out even he was surprised that I was still waiting for my drink.) I did get a half-hearted apology from the barista, but there really is no excuse for the delay when there are no other customers around. This is the filthiest Starbucks Ive ever been in. The floors and tables looked like they hadn't been cleaned or swept for at least a couple of days. The work space of the employees had spilled milk, juice, used pitchers and the floor was disgusting. There were 4 people working plus someone in the back talking on the phone! It took 10 minutes to get my drink and there was no one ahead of me. Which leads me to the drink: Triple Grande nonfat Cinnamon Dolce 1/2 syrup (I've never had a Starbucks not understand this order). I specifically said regular syrup. The drink was NOT very hot, tasted like a watered down version of what I ALWAYS get and the SUGAR FREE syrup really topped it off. Nice going Starbucks! If I hadn't been traveling I would have gone back and requested my $ back but unfortunately didn't have time today.
