I order this from my house leave 15 mins later and sit in there for over 20 plus mins every time. It's not all the employees. It's just her. I think she does this on purpose to be quite honest. I visited this location on July 9 at 7:02 AM. They gave me the courtesy of letting me know their Bluetooth card reader at the window of the drive-through was not working and that I would have to pay cash or through the app, but they could still take a card at the inside cash register. I pose to clarifying question asking whether they couldn't just take four steps over to the inside cash register terminal and use my card as a payment that way, and she declined. It seems like for the added convenience of having the card reader of the drive-through down the barista or employees could be adaptable to change and complete the purchases themselves by walking four pieces to the inside cash register terminal. read more

With the constant dirty floors and bathrooms this location is a disgrace. The parking lot is far to small and constantly dirty. The lobby is either way to cold in the winter or way to hot during the summer. There is never enough employees to help with service or customer needs. Waiting for drinks is the normal. Most of Wichita's Starbucks have crappy parking, but this one is exceptionally offensive. Firstly, there's 16 parking spots. It's better to just expect them all to be occupied rather than getting your hopes up. There's entrances on the south and west side of the building. The drive-thru entrance is on the south side of the building, but there's only room for about three cars between the entrance of the drive-thru and the road. Logic would tell you that it's better to enter from the west side and snake through the parking lot to allow more cars to queue, but many of Wichita's drivers have trouble with logic, so what happens is they cross Rock Road on Central going west, stop in Central's left lane (because there's no turning lane to get into Starbucks from Central because THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO DO THAT, IDIOT), holding up any traffic behind them. And pray there's not any eastbound traffic on Central crossing Rock, because if the dummies waiting to turn left into Starbucks have to wait, the cars behind them back up traffic straight into the Rock-Central intersection. It's mind-blowing to watch this stupidity happen. The correct answer in every circumstance is to enter from the west entrance and snake through the parking lot, though even in that case there's not enough room to allow parked cars to back up, so it sucks for you if you went inside to get a drink because now you have to wait for the line to subside before you can leave. It becomes especially hectic when you have one of the simple-minded cars that used the south entrance when there was already a line of cars from the west entrance and now they have to rely on the common decency of their fellow Wichitan to zipper-merge into the drive-thru. With the kind of people that regularly go to Starbucks, it's a crapshoot if they grasp the concept or even care enough to try. If you're smart and want to go inside you'll park in the lots of the nearby shopping centers and just walk 100 feet to the entrance, which alleviates all of these headaches. Otherwise, you're going to be subjecting yourself to this public hazard of a coffee shop all in the name of a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. read more

Today, I went to this location alone to get a drink for my friend and I. Upon getting to the drive thru window, the nice young woman asked if I would like a plastic stopper for one of my drinks. I said yes, and specified which drink I would like the stopper in, as to not waste extra plastic for my drink that I would drink right away. The man that gave the woman the drink to give to me must have heard the conversation about the stopper, looked stone cold directly at me, and said very loudly "PICKY, PICKY," continued to look at me, and then walked away. I had no idea how to react, as the woman is the one who asked me if I wanted a stopper or not. I am not usually affected by rudeness like this, but this was simply uncalled for, unprofessional, and simply ridiculous. Behavior like this should NOT be tolerated. Currently there is a lot of construction taking place on Rock so it is a little difficult to get into the drive way. I said I was sorry for the 3rd time. As she hands me my drink I apologize then says it's "no problem" then something about the time again.
