So first thing I want to say AMAZING PLACE ! Amazing staff ! I stopped by on the way to Whole Foods , I was kind of iffy at first because I am vegan and wasn't sure if they have options for me . Max walked me through the whole menu and was very helpful ! He also let me know the whole menu is customizable ! They just opened a week ago very clean giving very cutesy and demure ! I got the tomato and basil soup which was so well balanced! I also got a caramel royal that max referred to me and they were able to switch the milk to almond milk which I was super excited for ! I will most definitely be back and MAX WAS AMAZING WITH HIS CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Most definitely will be back !

like shockingly good food for a fast food restaurant. Drive where else can you drive up and get a fabulous BLT?

Good coffee and decent food. Better than any Starbucks. That's for certain. Atmosphere is nice with outdoor fresh air seating. A plus.

Good food but bad customer service. Just a bunch of rude high school girls that roll their eyes at you.

I love the Coop in Derby and this new location is an excellent addition to the family. It has a tidy, cute shop space with local meat, bakery goods, gluten free options, art, soap and other goodies just like its parent shop. Decor is white and black and tastefully simple. Food-wise, we enjoyed our drinks (iced caramel apple chai with boba and a Café au lait) and baked goods while we sat on the sunporch playing Uno. (See the business owner's note about the cool game room below this review.) I see that they have soup, burritos and flights of drinks and I definitely want to hit that up next time. Service was great; there was one lady running the shop on this rainy Saturday and she was very friendly and helpful, greeting us cheerily when we entered the shop and bringing our drinks to us on the second floor later. The Google page says that the shop has wheelchair access but I admit I didn't see it--perhaps there are other entrances with a ramp, but none that are immediately noticeable, This is an old Victorian house with most of the seating on the second and third floors with steep staircases, but there is a table and limited bar seating on the first floor. It's probably not the greatest place for handicapped folks, but it's a lovely shop and I hope all feel welcome. Hi

Simply the gratitude of it being present in middle America sets me up to have a good experience. Someone complained in a review about the "false advertisement" of having shaved ice as most Americans know it. It's hilarious to be that they assumed it to be what they know as shaved ice. If they had tried the Asian shaved ice, I guarantee they'd enjoy it and wouldn't have complained. If you know about other culture's shaved ice, you're open to try new things and let yourself be surprised. I digress. The shaved ice found here is the Korean version, Bingsu. It's very similar to other styles, but this one is mostly milk based. The menu is pretty extensive, including smoothies, yogurt, juice, coffee, boba tea, and of course shaved ice cream. We came for the shaved ice cream, so we tried the strawberry & mango first. It mixed the two, which surprised me since I had assumed it would be half and half separated. The combination worked beautifully. There was whipped cream, strawberry and mango syrup on top and we asked for mango popping boba. It was so delicious! The best way I can describe it is a feathery texture that melts in your mouth. We also tried the coconut one which came with condensed milk and coconut shavings. We also added strawberry popping boba. Highly recommend either/bob. Since the consistency is light and fluffy, even though the portions are generous, you don't feel stuffed afterwards. The place is spacious and has tall ceiling, making it very open. There's seating available on both floors. I enjoyed the Korean music playing and the tv translating the lyrics. The volume was just right (as opposed to some reviews out there complaining it was too loud). I probably wouldn't try to make calls inside though. The guy at the counter was super nice. He kept smiling really big the whole time he talked to us. Made me smile too. He also told us about the Korean cheesecake they have for sale. It looked delicious and fluffy so I got the coffee one. It was more of a sponge cake than cheesecake but it was delicious. Highly recommend.
