We were drenched and decided that some hot coffee on the way out of town would be just the thing. Aquamos Coffee Collaborative to the rescue! It's in downtown Waupaca, so the parking is basically street or street angled parking. My husband was able to find a spot to sit with the car and camper while I ran in and got our coffee. Since it was lunch time and I noticed what sounded like a pretty stellar breakfast sandwich on their menu, I ordered us a couple of those as well. For our coffee we got the caramel roll latte (caramel-y, ever so slightly cinnamon-y deliciousness). They also have alternative milks, if you so desire. The breakfast sandwich was a sesame bagel with chipotle mayo, egg, bacon, and sharp cheddar--it was super flavorful and absolutely delicious. Oh...and I believe they're dog friendly. We're anticipating a breakfast menu beyond waffles, I would even be happy with yogurt and granola. The espresso as near as I can tell is a medium roast with great flavors, kind of a nutty finish and just a hint of chocolate. The most predominant flavor is coffee, which is my favorite. Perhaps as the baristas gain experience we will see latte art in a large ceramic latte cup as a lagniappe. The place is perfect, I hope it will be a permanent Waupaca establishment. I could have easily purchased more items than I did ($85), but I have to fly home and I can't pack everything I wanted! Then we went to get lunch. My mom and I both had a blt. She had a hot mocha latte and I had the grasshopper mocha iced. Everything was really good! With both of us getting chips, our bill was just under $50. I would get everything again. Gift shop, restaurant area and restrooms were kept clean. Then we went out back to walk along the water and see the covered bridge and chapel. Most everything was kept nice outside, too, but I was disappointed on the clumps of cobwebs and dust on the chapel and the dirty and cobwebbed windows on the outside. They also run great specials; in August, for example, it was two beers for $4--unreal. If we'd been hungrier, I would've loved to try one of their handmade sandwiches too.
