Quick Service and Kind Employees! I got the Salted Caramel Mocha Strato Frappuccino Blended Beverage and the Potato, Cheddar, and Chive Bakes. The Frappuccino was delicious, and it tasted exactly like how any other Starbucks would make it. The Potato, Cheddar, and Chive Bakes were good! They were warm, and there were good amounts of potato, cheddar and chives. I felt like you could taste everything in almost every bite, and they came with 2! The employees were very kind and quick. I made a big order so I expected my order to take a while, but the employees were very fast to give me my order. The cafe is not very big, but it is very popular for all hours it's open. I think that's to be expected because it's the closest cafe with coffee near the North Tower. There's no seating or tables in the Starbucks Cafe area, but there are some tables and seating at Corner Counter next to Starbucks. There's a station in the corner with half & half, creamer, sugar packets, plastic utensils, straws, and napkins. The pick-up counter also has bags, Sriracha packets, and more napkins. Inside Harrahs, probably the best relatively low priced place to go for a quick breakfast. They open at 6am, 7 days a week. The sausage / egg / cheese on an English muffin is our usual choice. Not sure if this is the same at other location but they charge you a dollar if you want water. But many are using their reward dollars or charging to their rooms. In those cases, customers have to show their card and ID, slowing the ordering process. As others have mentioned, not a lot of conversation from the employees but as long as they get my order right, I'm okay with it. They used to be the only place in Harrahs for coffee and small bites but another venue opened in 2024 that is directly across the hall from them. As such, Starbucks closes at 10pm Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday. The other place is open 24/7. They still have $1 refills on brewed coffee, iced coffee, hot and iced tea, charge a bit extra for espresso, lemonade and juice - you must have your receipt and it must be from the same day. So don't delay in the evening if you want a refill. read more

While you probably don't need another Starbucks review, I think it's worth noting that during my entire stay at Harrah's, every single drink I ordered came out perfect. That's a rarity for Starbucks, especially at a hotel location. What impressed me even more was the convenience of mobile ordering, which isn't something you find at many hotel Starbucks. Being able to place an order from my phone in my hotel room and pick it up within minutes is a 5-star experience in my book. On Friday evening, 6/20/2025, I ordered a decaf coffee and when opened the lid, I immediately noticed how light it looked, practically the color of tea. I took a sip and, as expected, it was extremely watery. Clearly, something had gone wrong in the brewing process. I politely brought it to the staff's attention and showed them the drink. Instead of offering to remake it or even acknowledging that something might be off, the response I got was: "You'll have to pay for another one." No apology, no concern, no empathy--just a flat-out refusal delivered with a rude and dismissive tone. Mistakes happen, I get it. But it's the way they're handled that makes all the difference. A simple "Sorry about that, let me fix it for you" would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, the lack of customer care here is enough to make me think twice before coming back. read more

This place is located inside the Harrahs Southern California Resort. As with just about everything else at this resort, the prices are inflated and definitely not worth the money. Everything is nicely set up inside. However, they have numerous items out on display to purchase, but nothing was marked with a price. So you have to ask someone working there just to find out the price. I find this sort of thing very annoying. It's obvious they don't want you to think about the price you are going to have to pay. Also, they told me that the coffee comes with free refills, but when I asked the barista for a refill, I was told I had to get back on the line and request that from the cashier. Stopped by after checking out of Harrahs to try the new Impossible breakfast sandwich. I didn't see the sandwich in the food case so I asked the barista if it was available. "Amelia" rolled her eyes at me and said "yes". I ignored the fact she did that and continued to place my order. She then let out a big sigh and said with attitude "IS THAT IT"?! I don't know if she was just having a bad day but she needs to learn how to treat customers and people in general with RESPECT. As for the sandwich, it was great. Being vegetarian, Impossible products are my favorite but for $8.26 and bad customer service it wasn't worth it. This Starbucks is about 15 miles away from the 15 Freeway and Escondido. It's literally in the middle of nowhere in Valley Center (Funner). I get it that they need to recoup the cost of cups but Wow! I'd hate to finish a 110F hike nearby and come across this Starbucks who charges for basic human necessity. By the way, they do have a great staff who work tirelessly to get every order done quickly. I don't understand why a large cup of coffee is $4.25 while others in San Diego area charge $3.00 or so. Perhaps it's the logistics of having a store in the middle of nowhere. But I don't think they ship $1.00 cups of water all the way from the distribution center. I think it's just local tap water run through their filtration system. Note: Store is open as of June 2020 I frequent this store anytime I'm here at Harrah's and since it's near one of the towers you can't miss it. Now I'm not a coffee snob, nor do I have the palate to tell you anything interesting such as what tastes good, what drinks quality is better than the other and such. I really cannot keep up with the non-fat, extra-hot, splash of almond milk this, easy ice that, shot of espresso there, or anything else that is anything remotely more than the name said on the menu. If you like Starbucks, the consistency is there and I feel will be the same as others, so come on in. They provide such great service and everyone here is ready to help! If you'd like some type of breakfast, lunch item or snack you'll find some options for each. Breakfast items include various protein and egg sandwiches, wraps, bagels, and various pastries. Lunch items include wraps, sandwiches,various protein boxes, and salads. Snacks include various protein boxes, bars and cheese, fruit, and chips and such. They seem to have a good flow here, I've never seen a hour long line or anything so you should be fine visiting at any time of day. As you might be aware of, each Starbucks location is different and perhaps suits a certain need. This location does not have much seating so it's not one to come to study at, read for hours in, or meet with more than one person. There's about 8 or so tables that are usually appropriate for two people. Prices seem to be just about the same as other stores. Somethings I am a fan of: Any of the basic drinks such as the caramel machhiato (hot or cold), caffee mocha, cappuccino, blonde roast, and nitro cold brew. The guy at the register didn't know what was a doppio con panna. So I explained what it was. They were about to make it wrong. So by doing that, I forgot to order my bagel. Came right back behind the people he was taking their order. I told him that I forgot to order my bagel, and he said I had to get back in line. This is a Casino there are 20 people in line. There just is no possible way I can give any latitude to this Starbucks located in Harrah's SoCal Hotel. I've racked my brain trying to find some redeeming factor or value for this establishment, but I just can't come up with one. Employees here are downright nasty, unaccommodating, rude, and outright disrespectful. And I don't care how busy they are on the weekend, that's their job, deal with it. I see it with almost every customer. They yell at you, tell YOU to be respectful towards them and don't reciprocate, and on my last trip here, I saw the morning manager stir in some milk into a drink and hand it back to a customer and told her he remade it. That's utterly despicable, and I'm sure against public health regulations in the state of California, never mind deceitful to a paying customer that was obviously from abroad and didn't know any better. That kind of service makes me embarrassed to be an American. To make matters worse, the prices at this store are outrageous, even with a players club card. I had to pay $4.89 for a grande cup of coffee (with my discount) and another $1.00 for a cup of hot water (not discounted) that in a corporate store would have cost me $2.87 in Las Vegas and $2.52 in San Diego for the same coffee. And the water would have been free, outrageous! Does Caesar's Entertainment and the Rincon Band of Indians have to gauge their customers and make even more money than they do from the tables and machines? I understand this is not a Starbucks corporate store and is owned and operated by Harrah's SoCal. But GIVE ME A BREAK, $1.00 for a cup of hot water only to be yelled at by a bald, fat, nasty, forty-something morning manager that's teaching his employees how to deal with customers by own example. I visited the Starbucks inside The Harrah's casino in Funner Ca, and my experience was terrible! I ordered a Vanilla sweet cream cold brew and it tasted like absolute MILK, as well as a tall regular cold brew which tasted like iced tea! Later throughout the day since its the only place opened after 8pm to get food, I went down and ordered and everything bagel with cream cheese, I received a PLAIN bagel, without cream cheese. I ordered portobello mushroom egg bites WELL done along with roasted pepper egg whites which was under cooked. Had to request for them to be recooked. Not too mention I was asked for ID using a DEBIT card, NOT credit card. The customers behind me was not asked for no type of identification. I mean why would, or how could I use a DEBIT card without a PIN. Moving forward. They do not wear hairnets! UGH!!! I got the ultimate caramel frap in tall for my daughter and a strawberry frap in grande for me along with pumpkin bread heated up. The guy helping me was super nice. The line was a little long but went quickly with the help of an extra employee. My drink was good. My daughter enjoyed her ultimate caramel frap. The pumpkin bread is what I enjoyed the most. One of my all time favorites. I should have gotten a pumpkin latte or frap to go along with the bread. Plenty of seating inside but were all taken so we went elsewhere to enjoy our drinks.
