Two baristas working and they greeted me with smiles while I waited for them to finish serving other customers. They made my food and drink quickly and everything was delicious. I have a few things to say about this Starbucks, the baristas working we're pretty nice and welcoming but the reason for the 1 star is their manager, she was very rude to me and rolled her eyes at me while I asked a simple question I had a bad day and I was just trying to cheer up by getting a drink from my favorite place but that didn't happen she made my day way worse then it already was and I feel like everyone else was nice and respectful. I would hate to work for someone like that I don't think she's fit to be in a manager position. I'm visiting Colorado from Texas and just happened to stop in this Starbucks location. I was worried to see that there was only one barista working, I hope that wasn't intended. Nevertheless, the lone barista, Ethan, worked his tail off with a smile on his face. Kindly introducing himself to customers, showing no signs of stress or irritation, and getting all the drinks out in a timely manner! There are other coffee venues in downtown Trinidad, yet this is the only Starbucks that I could find using Yelp as well as Google. Located inside of the Safeway, this Starbucks is more like a "Starbucks Express", where you will discover limitations to the brand that are at regular full-service locations. The parking within the Safeway lot is okay, yet configured weird when entering from the main road. Just hard to describe. I wound up parking closer toward the gas station on the far end of the parking lot. The restrooms are upstairs on the second floor of Safeway. You'll find the stairs adjacent to the Starbucks stand. As far as the actual product, I didn't have any problems. The quality has been very consistent in terms of the coffee and snacks, such as blueberry muffins. The barista was friendly. I only saw one at the time, so I have to imagine that during busy hours, you may see 1 or 2. With that said, expect a little bit of a wait. read more

I stopped in here before walking around the downtown area to use the restroom and grab a coffee. It took 20 minutes for a starbucks employee to acknowledge me. There was an employee in training, which I can be patient for. However, I do expect an acknowledgement. The 3 girls working today (7/1) were great with how busy they were. They even asked if I wanted my banana bread heated up and I thought that was great customer service. Destiny, Shy and I didn't catch the other girl's name. I would give them 5 stars. The manager that decided to stand on the side and shout drink orders at them instead of helping however, is whats wrong with this company. The girls had a bunch of people with multiple drinks and instead of applauding his employees for working their best, he was mad that they weren't smiling. When exiting the highway trying to get to this Starbucks, Main Street takes you to the back side of Safeway grocery which has the Starbucks inside. I didn't get a sense of that when using the Yelp directions and was very confused when all I saw was a Starbucks logo on a blank wall with no entrances in sight. After looping back through the parking lot I was able to get to Starbucks. The odd placement shouldn't be a knock them, just thought it was worth sharing that you have to be on the lookout to get here. read more

Kind of a bummer. Even for Starbucks. We were driving home to Texas from Colorado Springs Co. bummer #1 this location is in a Safeway and isn't really identifiable from anywhere other than right in front of the Safeway. Bummer #2 the girl who took our order was quite confused on how the drinks were actually prepared. We asked for a hot peppermint mocha. Cierra (order taker) says it is served cold only. Ok fine. Give me a cold one. After 30 minute wait. What do we get. A hot peppermint mocha. ‍. I get the whole Covid BS. But this was not the reason for any of these problems. While we waited for our drinks other patrons had these same problems. Cierra's "fixit skills" were condescending and sarcastic. No customer paying this much for any type of item on the menu at Starbucks needs to be treated as they are idiots. read more

There is no need for someone to wait over an hour for a coffee. There was only one barista whose spirit animal is clearly a turtle. Rather than at least trying to speed it up, she was laughing and engaging in conversations with a team member, which was the only evident form of multitasking. I've gone twice before work at 6am and the barista was late each time. He informed me that it would be about 45 minutes before Starbucks would open. I went today, a Saturday, at 8:40am before a 9:00 am appointment and there was a long line. I waited in line until 8:55 and still had not placed my order. This Starbucks is inside Safeway, and it is supposedly the only Starbucks in the town of Trinidad, CO. My fiance and I drove into Trinidad after a 4-hour journey thinking we could get some Starbucks. We arrived at this location 20 minutes before 7. We were very happy to see that the coffee bar closed at 7pm, and we had made it on time. Our joy quickly came to a halt when the lady said "sorry, I am getting ready to close down". I work at a coffee bar at a different store, and when we say we close at 6, that means I make the last latte at 6. This place should come with a disclaimer: "coffee bar hours 6am to 7pm, unless the barista feels otherwise." read more

This is the only Starbucks in Trinidad and it's inside the Safeway grocery store. Pretty standard items and menu, but they don't have the full food menu. No breakfast sandwiches, etc., but they have all the usual pastries. They typically are pretty slow and only have one or two people working, so don't expect to have your stop be super fast. read more

This is the cutest little Starbucks. My husband, two sons and I are visiting Denver from Pennsylvania and visiting Trinidad from Denver. I was really missing my Starbucks and so happy to see one in town. The two young women working there (one in training) were sweet and made a drink so yummy, I came back again for a second one. I've been to this Starbucks many times for caffeine on my long drives. They have always been short staffed and slow. Very slow. They get one star for wait time. However, the baristas have always been nice which is why I gave them two stars. If the local coffee shops opened Saturday and Sunday mornings, Starbucks would not be overwhelmed with the coffee drinkers. read more
