Ocean County doesn't have that many Starbucks locations compared to regions with an equivalent population size. So, it's nice that they have this one, and it's convenient being located right in Stop & Shop. The staff members are really nice and efficient. Although they have a seating area, the chairs are starting to show wear. I just can't recommend drinking coffee here because the prices are really high, and the coffee quality does not warrant it. You can also just go across the parking lot to McDonald's and get a cup of coffee for much less money. read more

I'd give this zero stars if I could. I only attempt to go here out of convenience when I stop at this grocery store. Every time is disappointing. Last time I was there apparently someone called out so it was one person working. So it took forever, not necessarily his fault. Went again and asked for a cold brew - they "didn't have any" (read: they didn't bother to make any). And I asked for a hot black tea. No black tea. I mean, I may be confused, but isn't Starbucks a coffee and tea joint????? Not to mention the one older lady that works there is NEVER happy. read more

This is a quirky location: a coffee shop within a supermarket. It feels a little fake, like it's the set of a TV show or an old SNL skit, back in the days when Bill Murray managed a forlorn Scotch tape store in a mall. But the vibe here is friendly and more relaxed than the other area Starbucks, which can be frenetic with lawyers in yoga togs seeking their endlessly necessary supply of caffeine. This location is a pit stop for grocery shoppers and a good people-watching spot. Cheers. read more

I never thought I would hate a Starbucks so much or that it was even possible but at this one, it definitely is. I stopped here a few weeks ago on my way home from Island Beach and wanted a coffee really bad. We checked Google Maps for any in the area and this one is what we found. Be aware that it is inside the Stop & Shop grocery store, right in the front. I am always hesitant to even go into one that is attached to any sort of store (grocery or Target), I find that they aren't as good as the stand alone and I was right for this one. We went to the front to order our drinks, Steve ordered his and she didn't bother to write on the cup so we made sure to watch the other woman because we get soy. I went to order mine and she just snapped at me telling me to hold on. She kept complaining about her glasses being dirty and ignoring us while she cleaned them. Finally able to order she was just the nastiest person I have ever met at a Starbucks. They ended up making his drinks wrong because they didn't bother to write on the cup. I would not recommend going here, find a different one if you can or skip it all together.. heck, go to Dunkin Donuts instead of here! read more

The service was very good and polite but...1)its inside of a Stop & Shop with views of produce & registers and 2) no freaking wifi, they tell you to use Stop & Shops but it doesn't work, neither the regular or guest! So it made ne definitely appreciate the North Jersey ones. read more

Stopped here on our way home from NJ to MA. We asked if they had iced coffee and they were out. The girl who was taking our order was friendly and asked the girl brewing the iced coffee how long it would be. She replied: " as long as it takes to brew" with an attitude. We just walked out. If you work at a coffee shop you know how long it takes to brew, so don't be rude. read more

This Starbucks is in the Stop n Shop at the front. I just read the other review and was really surprised. I've gone here a bunch of times either to get just a Starbucks drink or get a drink while food shopping, and it's usually the same workers, and they all have been really nice. I've never once had a negative experience the many times I've come here. In fact, everyone has always been nice and my drinks have been made correctly. There are regulars too who come and the workers will talk with them and it's a really relaxed place. I prefer this Starbucks to the one in the mall if I want faster service since usually there are only a few people here at a time. I've never waited in line where there was more than five people ahead of me, and usually there's one, at most two. The Starbucks in the mall can be packed or empty depending on when you go, and I try to avoid the mall if I think it'll be packed. There is a big sitting area, too. Two big comfy chairs, a bar table at the window, and at least four small tables. The drinks are good and the ladies (I've actually never seen a male worker at the Starbucks counter the two years I've been going here) write down what you want if it's a difficult drink (my drink usually is) and are nice. Wouldn't recommend going to this location. I've only gone when in the area and didn't feel like going into the mall. Several times they've been "out of" things I've ordered. Really? It's coffee... Lol. The last time I went about 2 months ago, I had intentions of getting one of the advertised deals for the frappes, and I waited online for 15 mins only to get up to the counter and have the barista tell me "they're not honoring the deal" at this location. My daughter and I stop here every Tuesday and have never had a problem. My order is always correct and service is always friendly. The sitting area is always clean and decorated for the season. I will definitely continue to come here! read more

The service here is terrible. I asked for a morning bun and a white chocolate mocha. After I got the morning bun, I asked for them to heat it. They both gave me a dirty look and said, "we don't do that." I saw the microwave right behind them. The old lady at the register didn't even put my order in correctly. When I said I didn't want the morning bun anymore, the register lady announced it in such a horrible attitude. I'm so disappointed in this Starbucks and would never recommend it to travelers. read more

I had not gotten my starbucks fix for a week or so while in the NJ, so I figured I'd locate one and even though this one was 5 miles away I took the chance of driving 15 minutes to pick my fix. This is located within a large chain store in a poorly light part of the store. The service is truly the worst I have seen bar the time I had to wait 30 minutes for my order. I ordered some muffins which was displayed to be at $1.95 but was charged $2.25 and when I asked why this was the case. The young woman serving said well thats what its coming up as, we must have old prices. I did a double check with her and asked cheekily if this was Starbucks, she of course replied in the same flat tone/face yes it is, and can't do anything about the higher price being charged then what was displayed. Seems like I must be spoilt with the Starbucks in the west coast. On the upside, looks like Starbucks has a long ways to go to penetrate East Coast market as the next Starbucks was some 10 miles away. In a nutshell avoid this one if you can help it. read more

Starbucks was an absolute disgrace here. I usually go to the one in my hometown but i was visiting someone who lived near and decided to stop. My normal order is a vent black ice tea extra sweetened. Here I decided to get my usual but a grande. When I went to pay, they didn't scan my phone for my card so I had to read it out loud. The manager said she would't touch my phone and that they don't scan. Every Starbucks I have been to scans! What blew my mind though was there was a scanner right in front of her. When I looked at my receipt, they charged me $0.50 for one extra pump. That was ridiculous! As I was drinking my tea, I called Starbucks and they said they were't suppose to charge extra. I told the lady working, Karen who was a very rude lady and she said "Well, we are Stop and Shop not Starbucks and we can charge. If you have a problem you can talk to my manager" She had a very bad attitude about it. Meanwhile, here manager claims to be on break (she is really just sitting on a chair and eating lunch)I left the store pissed off so I called Starbucks again only this time I filed a complaint. Starbucks was very nice and gave me a credit and also made sure this was looked into. Everything was written down. I will never buy anything from this Starbucks again and nor should you!!! read more
