This is my neighborhood Starbuck's, and yesterday I went in to pick up my mobile order around 10:20 am. Walked in the door and there was a puddle I didn't see and I WIPED OUT! No employee ever saw me, but all the customers did and a gentleman came over and gave me a hand up. Terrible coffee and terrible employees. I'm usually a fan of starbucks, but just not this location. Every time I order a drink, it tastes like milk plus water. It is very lacking in the coffee department. Drive through lines are always long and blocking the entrance (horrible location and planning on management's part). One time I decided to do a mobile order then walk inside for a carry out. I came in, stood right in front of the pick up area trying to get someone's attention for what felt like 10 minutes! I did make eye contact with a few of them, but no one seemed to want to acknowledge me! Were they busy making drinks? no. Were they taking orders? no. There were others just like myself who were also waiting on drinks to be handed to us since we can't grab it ourselves (COVID regulations). Other Yelpers' nightmare stories about the drive-through lines are spot on. I've never seen a Starbucks where cars in line are so consistently wrapped around the building. I tried the drive-through once and since then always just park and go inside. The service in there can be kind of slow, though I attribute that to the amount of traffic coming through the drive through rather than inattentiveness on the baristas' parts. Otherwise, it meets expectations for a Starbucks. It's usually not hard to find an open table if you want to settle in and work, something I wish I could say about some locations closer to home. read more

FIX THE DRIVE THRU FLOW! It routinely takes 20+ minutes to go through drive-thru at this location. A super "fast" experience still takes 10 minutes. Drive thru cars back up into the parking lot traffic lanes, which is dangerous. When you finally do get up to the window after ordering, be prepared to be ignored for another few minutes. This happens regardless of how busy the drive thru actually is. Sometimes they're taking another customer's order but sometimes they aren't, and still don't greet you. There should be one person taking drive thru orders and another transacting with customers at the window. There's no reason why it should take longer than 10 minutes (at most) to go through drive thru, nor should customers be ignored when pulling up to the window. read more

It's amazing to me that a manager seems to think it's okay to yell at a customer who is sitting down patiently waiting for their Togo drink. Then when I get upset that I've just been yelled at for sitting after waiting 10 minutes the employee who took my order in the first place says "oh I'm sorry did I forget your order". I ask for a refund.. more waiting. Manager Haley doesn't listen and try's to give me a refund for about a dollar less. Now I'm more upset and now the manager thinks it's okay because I use the phrase "maybe you should f****** listen" oop oh no a no no word. My milk was put in a soy marked container and I don't do soy for a reason. Usually I have respect for baristas but not this 'Ry' and other coworkers at the time. Store wasn't even that busy but I was treated like I wasn't important at all. For gross overpriced drinks I'd rather go somewhere they actually have good service and have correct customer skills. This is the worst Starbucks location ever. I've been here once before my most recent stop in and last time was mediocre - coffee tasted stale and burnt at the same time. But this time I came in and asked for light ice with my iced coffee and the barista - we'll get to them later - looks like they added extra so when I received my drink I asked if they could take out some of the ice to avoid becoming watered down. The barista said "Well I already made it so..." and that was all. Turned, rolled they're eyes and that was it. I was needing to get to work so I left. UNHAPPY! On the barista - named Ry or Rye I cannot remember... greasy skin and hair. If someone is serving customers not only should they have good customer service but they should also have good hygiene at least. This person did not. Oh Westgate Starbucks. I never thought I'd review you. Who reads reviews of a chain, amirite? Everything should be standardized so who cares...? I've now had enough sub-par experiences from this location, though, to call it out. Hey baristas... A couple tips. I was once a Starbucks barista, waaaay back in the day before Toledo had ever heard of espresso. I will now shower you with commonsense advice that will make your customers happier! 1.) Your drive through headset is not a cell phone and the other barista isn't your BFF. And believe me customers don't want to hear the details of the saga you're sharing over the radio connection and to the room at large. Focus on making your drink next time and my grande chai won't come out tasting weird. I don't know how it's possible to be distracted enough to ruin a basic chai latte, but you succeeded. Not impressed. 2. When you heat up almond milk too hot, it scalds and tastes like burnt cardboard. Way to ruin my morning as I sit with this shoddy five dollar drink in my car cupholder all the way to work. 3. When you are a sloppy pourer, and you overfill the cup, and then you slam a lid on the drink and call it good, guess what?? Some of the brown liquid gets caught on the inside of the rim of the lid. So then guess what happens when someone goes to take a drink? The surface tension of the liquid breaks and pours coffee droplets all over the drinker's white blouse, dry clean only slacks, and leather seat. Seriously?? I may have once been a barista but now I have a big girl job that allows me to buy coffee every day on my way to work... And at this job I no longer wear an apron to protect me from splashes of your coffee. I'm really NOT looking forward to walking around all day with brown spots on my chest and crotch, let me tell you. So, sloppy lazy baristas... Have a little dang pride in your work. Then the manager comes to the window and says "she can't give me the drink and give me a refund." Most Starbucks are pretty hit or miss with drink taste and quality. This location is mostly in the 'miss' category. Drink mods, such as nonfat milk or no whip cream, often go ignored. I echo other reviewers' comments that the staff isn't overly friendly, but I'm not going into Starbucks to make friends, so it's whatever to me. The location could not be any worse, but that is because the redesigned parking lot of new Westgate is just the worst in the world. They must have hired the same people who designed UT's awful parking lots. I'm not taking any stars away for this, but be warned the traffic at peak hours is terrible. read more

I felt bad that I was holding up the line, but my order should have been quick. After five minutes the guy at the window said he was going to check up on the order. A few minutes pass and he apologizes saying "I'm sorry, I don't know why they made these four drinks before yours." I was the only car for a couple minutes, why did they make the orders after mine before me? While I was waiting I also overheard someone order the Oprah Chai Tea Latte & one of the workers said they were out of the syrup but could substitute it with one of the teas. This location is generally busy, but drinks are still ready in a reasonable time. If the weather is nice, then the outdoor seating makes the space a bit less crowded. Parking is ample, since this location is in a decent-sized strip mall. This location, unlike the one on Talmadge by the mall, does have a drive-thru. Downsides: More than once, I've walked in with the intent of enjoying a relaxing hour at The 'Bux, but ended up getting my drink to go (if at all) due to lack of seating. Only once or twice have they made my order incorrectly; usually I have no complaint about the quality of the product itself. When I asked the drive through person if they offered the promotion she was very rude and told me that do not do that and she didn't know what I was talking about. She didn't offer to ask the manager or for me to elaborate, she just dismissed me. The baristas here are absolutely wonderful! I am a regular, so maybe the extra good service is in part due to this only. I've never had issues with drinks being messed up, but I'm also not a coffee drinker (chai and tea all the way with the occasional frapp). They also know how to handle large crowds, which is important considering they can sometimes get slammed via the driveway. The only thing I dislike about this location is the small size of the building, which makes seating pretty competitive. Sometimes, I'm looking to sit down and get work done, and if there's no seats, I end up just walking right back out and visiting a competitor that I know has space. Still, that being said, the service alone is worth the 5 stars. read more

I ordered a chai tea latte on my way to work yesterday at Secor Rd location Toledo, OH and half way to work took a sip of my drink and "yuck" it wasn't my drink. After waiting two months to get Starbucks due to the covid 19 you can understand my extra disappointment. So I called and she asked me to come back and they would make me a new one. Being already halfway to work coming back was not an option. So they said come back in the morning and so I did. They gave me my drink correctly today but that's it. No we apologize here's a $5 gift card for the inconvenience nothing. Just here you go. I am honestly shocked. I'm beyond disappointed in this location. I mobile ordered due to being in a rush. I placed the order 15 minutes before I arrived to this location. When I got there they asked that I waited in line for another 20 minutes to tell them that I have arrived. Then I waited for 25 more minutes and I still had yet to receive my coffee. I asked one of the employees if my coffee was next because it had been almost an hour. They said that they have not received it yet. This is usually the starbucks I go to as it is really close to my house, i can easily say that i have never had a negative experience at this location. the workers are always sweet even if it's crazy packed and busy and my order has never been wrong.
