Dale Mabry and Linebaugh) about shutting down the coffee machine over an hour before closing. If a corporate business, please send out a mass email to all of your stores about this type of business practices. I get it, many of the Starbucks are experiencing significant layoffs and store closures so many staff members are checked out. If the goals are to reverse sales declining and improve customer experience, these business practices are certainly not helping the cause. If this is one of the locations under review for closure, perhaps that is the best course of action based on how this location has been operating as of lately. This has happened on at least 3 occasions that I have personally experienced at this location. If you stay open until 10:30pm on Sunday, why are you closing down the coffee maker at 9:23pm? read more

I showed up at this Starbucks at 4:00 a.m. on November 6th for the release of the new holiday merchandise -- especially the adorable bear cup. Doors opened at 4:30, and there were only a few people ahead of me and maybe eight behind. While waiting, we could literally see employees grabbing cups and mugs before the store even opened. When we finally got inside, there was only ONE bear cup left for customers. The rest had apparently been pre-purchased by staff. What's really frustrating is seeing those same cups already listed on eBay for around $150, which makes it pretty clear what's going on. It's disappointing that loyal customers who show up early don't even get a fair chance because employees buy everything first. Starbucks really needs to step in and make sure customers come first on release days. read more

This location was formerly a Long John Silver's seafood fast food joint, believe it, or not. The building should have been leveled----It's not too late---and a nice, modern, INVITING space take it's place. There's currently no inside dining, which is fine by me as it doesn't give me a warm, cozy, feeling of cleanliness. So, no stars for the building. I ordered a Venti iced coffee with ONE splash of pumpkin syrup. The splash is extra. The associate was friendly and the staff was efficiently handling the drive thru which was wrapped around the small building (typical for this busy corner location). I don't typically drink Starbucks; I'm not one to pay over $4 for a custom cup of iced coffee. Having enjoyed iced coffee from another well-known competitor recently, I happened to notice their Medium-sized iced coffee is about the same size as a Starbucks Venti, at half the cost. But, Starbucks coffee IS robust and really packs that caffeine punch. read more

I was in the drive through of the Starbucks on the corner of Linebaugh and North Dale Mabry in Tampa, Florida. I made the mistake of ordering a cold brew on the app with non dairy whatever! I always order the cold brew with either Pistachio or Macadamian cold cream on top! I hate that you now have pumpkin spice cream, I tried the salted caramel, not a fan of that either! Today I was just going to order the Vanilla. The drink I got was terrible! It was all non dairy whatever with very little coffee! It was my mistake! I told the guy at the window it tasted terrible and he said he was sorry and went on taking the next order basically dismissing me! I really wanted coffee, so I went back to order a cold brew with the cold cream on top. I was expecting to pay for it. I told him I wanted to make sure I ordered the right drink! A girl came on the speaker and was totally confusing! I told her ai was ordering the Cold brew macadamia and that I know she didn't have that so make it sweet vanilla . She started with do you want foam or cream. The cream is mixed. I made it clear I wanted cold brew black without the cream being mixed... She kept on... This location is ALWAYS so busy....but we like coming here as it's the closest drive-thru for us when we get our Starbucks cravings. The staff is always so pleasant at this location and makes an effort to strike up conversation when at the window waiting for drinks to be ready. I am totally addicted to the Guava Green Tea Lemonade (no sweetener) and my daughter loves the Pink Drink (blended). If you've not had the Guava, I highly recommend!! I used to love this Starbucks but lately they've been getting my order wrong every time I go. One time they gave me Splenda and 2% milk when I asked a soy vanilla latte. Today I placed a MOBILE order for an Iced Quad Vanilla Latte with soy milk. The soy milk is settled at the bottom and there's NO vanilla syrup in it. It just feels like no one at this store knows what they're doing. I understand they're busy but it is EVERY SINGLE visit, no matter the time of day. These drinks are not cheap and no other Starbucks I go to in the Tampa area does this. Went in really early morning I was waiting on my coffee and noticed a bug in the case wer they have all their baked goods...nobody was I. The store so I call the girl over doesn't even come so I say it out loud hey ther is a bug in ther still doesn't turn continues what she's doing and say ok with her back turn. If you can get to it, its great. The parking lot makes NO sense. It's teeeeny tiny and you can easily get trapped, especially if you are coming from the Linebaugh entrance. The gigantic parking lot immediately west (an office park) offers free towing for anyone foolish enough to park there. The drive thru line is frequently backed up so that getting to parking spaces (or out of them) is impossible. For some strange reason they decided to put an outdoor seating patio where a passthrough lane would have made MUCH more sense. UGh!!! That parking lot setup is dumb. Say you're lucky enough to park and go inside. Its really well-appointed. There are many workstations and comfy seating. It always feels like it needs a teeny bit of cleaning, but the staff is nice and banging out frappes and lattes pretty quickly. They don't get all pissy when you order a medium because you can't remember which quasi-fake Italian word they've chosen to represent medium. I like that, because, obviously I cannot retain the Starbucks sizing names in my brain. If you choose the drive through, you may be in for a wait if the line is long. They do their best to keep it moving. Please be aware there is a pedestrian crossing through the drive through lane. After you give your order, screeching up to the window is not advised, as you could really hurt someone trying to cross. read more

I received a free breakfast sandwich from the manager due to a mixed up in my order. Very nice a professional. I wish the parking lot was a little consumer friendly. I am out of carrots. I am out of sticks. This location has time and again proven that they are utterly incapable of producing the most basic of coffee drinks. I order an "iced coffee with cream, sugar, and a shot of espresso" every time. They repeat the order back correctly to me. Yet somehow they manage to omit the sweetener on an infuriatingly regular basis. I do not like the taste of their coffee, which is the whole reason I get an iced coffee with sugar so that it shocks my taste buds and I am blessed to drink a tasteless, sugary caffeinated drink. The lack of sugar makes the drink absolutely horrid and I cannot understand why I keep thinking they'll get it right this time. I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt but not anymore. Not again. I am dumbfounded. Bewildered. Utterly aghast at the surgeon like precision in which they dupe me into thinking they did it right this time. This starbucks location has a very relaxed lounge type atmosphere. Plenty of sofa chairs, couches and they play background music. This location is very busy with their drive thru and they still manage to give decent service inside. It can be very tough to get to because its right smack on the corner of dale mabry and linebaugh, a very busy intersection no doubt. I always order a venti latte with 6 raw sugars and cinnamon sprinkled on top. They are always consistent and I cant say that i have ever had an issue so far. The only complaint i would have is their steep pricing, I paid $4.23 for a cup of coffee, ouch! For that reason I take away a star. read more

Dropping by at random, we discovered this is positively the nicest Starbucks location in the Tampa Bay area! The huge interior is classy and rustic at the same time, atypical for a Starbucks. We definitely enjoyed our caffeine fixes! When you come, I'd recommend hot beverages because I think the AC is set on frozen. It is a Starbucks, which means decent coffee always... fixed pretty much however you want it. I won't say the drinks are inspired, but they are good, and very consistent almost anywhere you go. That does have a value... especially if you are somewhere where finding a nice rich triple shot breve grande Cafe Mocha is difficult to do. The staff is almost always friendly, and sometimes even entertaining. This particular location is close to where I live, so I stop in occasionally, and they have always met my expectations! Parking here is a pain... many people use the parking lot as a shortcut to get to Linebaugh off of Dale Mabry... to miss the short wait at the light. The inside definitely does not match the outside. When we first pulled up I was really worried. For one thing, I thought it might only be a drive through, since it advertises that it is a drive through on the sign. The second, was it looked a little run down. Boy was I wrong. When I walked it I immediately noticed the rustic feeling to the store. I have never been in a Starbucks that is decorated like this one is. There are plenty of comfy chairs and tables. It became obvious quickly that this is a neighborhood Starbucks. When the guy in front of me got to the front of the line the cashier just asked "the regular" and started ringing him up. I ended up seeing this multiple times! They hired really friendly people to work here. I order an iced coffee with cream and sweetener multiple times a week from different Starbucks and I didn't like this one. It tasted weak and a little bitter. Thank goodness for Starbucks drive-thru! Sometimes a girl needs her pumpkin spice latte to get started in the morning. I stop at this location a lot on my way to work. It's a busy intersection, but they seem to move cars through at a very brisk pace, which I appreciate. I have only be given someone else's coffee one time, and they were so apologetic when I called, then they gave me the right coffee free the next time I came through (with no hassle). I stop at this location a lot because it's convenient on my drive south on Dale Mabry. My drinks are always correct and the staff has always been helpful. I typically go through the drive thru and pay with the app (I'm still amazed by this:)). Today, I tried the new S'mores Frappuccino and it was delicious. Like a coffee milkshake. The chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallow were apparent and perfect. This is a very nice location with a great layout to sit, study, work, or converse with friends. I love the open payout and segregation for an additional semi-private area for sitting quietly. The parking lot leaves a bit to be desired as it is not conducive to parking or getting out of the parking lot. But, this is a busy intersection as well. My one criticism of their customer service is that when customers are present employees should pay attention and serve guests instead of continuing to talk with their co-workers. Even though the lady was very nice to me when she was taking my order she ignored me for about 30 s Vonda while she spoke to her co-worker about personal stuff. Usually I go to this Starbucks often, and it's pretty good. But this time it was really bad, like REALLY BAD. The lady taking my order was nice and helpful, but the lady who made the drinks did an awful job. It tasted rancid almost. Same thing with my boyfriend's drink, they tasted the same type of gross. I couldn't even drink it, it was so bad. I'm sure the girl making it was new but still- if you're making drinks you should know what you're doing. I was extremely disappointed and am praying next time I come here my drink tastes better. The cake pop was really good though. Anyways, I called them to complain about the drinks being super bad, and no answer. So then I called again, still no answer. I called FIVE TIMES AND NO ANDWER!!! I was furious. I just went in this Starbucks and got a delicious coffee. I ordered the hazelnut latte with an extra shot of espresso. It was made perfect! The staff was friendly, and also busy. I had to leave a compliment for all of them. The shop is clean and things seem to run smoothly. I also want to add that during my visit, a woman came in, and proceeded to blame Starbucks/Employees for spilling her coffee. The manager handled it gracefully. I have to say I'm not sure how a barista can make sure you don't spill your coffee, after you have pulled away and you are at a red light ( these are her words). I have been in the service industry, and I know these people are everywhere. It just feels a bit more obscene when they do it around the holidays. I've always gone to this Starbucks, multiple times. I came in as usual, and I said "Hi" to the woman named "Louisa" taking my order. I then started to say my order, and she cut me off in a snappy attitude saying "hello how are you" I said oh I'm ok and smiled. I then continued with my order. I said thank you as she checked me out, and she quickly walked away from me. She then started to make my food and she started talking to a co worker saying "people shouldn't come in if they don't know their order" (which I knew, as I have gotten it multiple times before), she also said "do people not know how to say hi, so rude and they should not come in" I don't know what else she was saying before I realized she was talking shit, but I know that it was nothing nice. I was very surprised to hear that she was talking like that in front of me. I don't know if she did not hear me when I said hi, but still no excuse to talk shit about a customer right in their face. I understand if she was having a bad day, as I work in food as well and things happen. I was treating her with respect, but was not given the same. But this was just a plain rude experience for me. I've come to this Starbucks on my way to work several times in the past when I've been too much of a hurry walking out the door to make coffee at home. If you've lived in Tampa for a while, you've probably at least seen this one. The good: Staff here has ALWAYS been super-friendly with me (even in the early morning). Their drinks are good (standard Starbucks drinks, so I won't go into detail about that). The place is very clean. The bad: The parking and drive-thru here are TERRIBLE! I feel like I'm going to get in a car wreck every time I come here. During peak hours, forget about getting a drink unless you are willing to park across Dale Mabry. The lot is so small! read more
